Always interested in the equipment that Jordy is on from a big guys perspective. He has trimmed down a bit this season, but still needs a lot of foam. Would love to review one of the models that he rides
Hello, I have a question. For a 140-145 lbs surfer in 2-6ft waves, looking for flow, speed and a little bit of release what fins would you recommend between the fcs performer pc, fcs performer pc carbon or the Kolohe Andino signature fins?
Felipe Goicoechea The Performers are a bit more upright compared to the KA so they will Pivot better. I suggest the Performers in PC if your surfing a lot of Beach Break and you want to get into the lip quick. For more point break waves the KA PC are epic too.
Jordy or Julian should of won the event they are so smooth and rip and rip airs as well! Yet the Brazilians win all the time now cause of politics and sales in Brazil ! And Lame ! WSL is weak on judging and the bull shit of how they favor ... let Jordy win or Julian they rip & shred..
Some of the best surf content on the net! Well done mate, loving it. Stay low key and intimate. So much better hearing from the guys in the low key atmosphere you provide. Also, it's obvious you know your stuff, but you don't talk yourself up. For a seppo (a Californian too!!) that's really impressive and reeks of authenticity and humility. Looking forward to more!
what volume was jordy riding ? as im 88kg exactly running around 30-32L but i feel like maybe i can go more as im approaching 30 years of age, im starting to feel it when it turns on after a long flat wave spell of a few weeks etc.
dizzeepetee yeah I think I’m going to take the plunge and go that extra 1L I’ve ridden friends boards over 32 in the past and struggled to adjust but that’s with their fins and only 1 session. I’ve been surfing my whole life and do yearly surf trips etc and I’d say I’m intermediate to advance so I’ve always run alittle lower volumes then the web sites suggest but, I think I need to commit to more foam as some of the worlds best are on more like I’m on one of jack freestones old DHD 3Dv’s and it’s 30.5-L and I got a good 5kg on him and his at that elite level.
