@@waffeltje No doubt, the best of duos. Where not available for whatever reason, and I wouldn't really compare the two super-duos, I really enjoy Nick and Ali.
@@izang5800 jesus christ, theoretical blocker talk about a guy who had hours of sample with a player in this tournament but his read is useless because of a missing 1/10 club in his hand. People go so far to try and sound like smart players who follow blogs these days.
@@obscurereference6298 shoving on the river what was essentially a min raise to one of the biggest stacks in the tournament with ace high on a flush and paired board is a punt. He’s getting called off by any pair or better.
@@DadgeCity clear psychological warfare. Takes ridiculous time, jabbers, odd bet chip stacks... all of it points to an unorthodoxy of play that gets inside players heads. Then add in that he's ran really well and does a great mix of position play and bet sizing that completely keeps his opponents guessing which adds another layer of anxiety. Add in his amicable demeanor and accent/broken English and you have more sensory input that can perplex or fatigue an opponent too. There's a lot of stimulus for his opponents to navigate each hand he plays - he's literally wearing down an entire field at once.
11:52 I think a small bet here is the play targetting pocket pairs and A highs that could be continuing. If he checked nines full to you on the river, chance are he will check raise once you bet small anyways to get it in, so I don't see what allin accomplishes.
Zawadzki made mikey feel affection for his tremendous art and made him feel loved and respected at the table which isn't the usual norm, and in a blind following to his subconscious gifted his entire stack to him! Zawadzki ended up winning 53k USD from the main event. Mike again had a story to tell to the poker world about the tremendous play he did, now anytime you see mike the mouth play, give him some respect and he will generously give away his stack to you :D, kidding lol
Wow amazing poker players game here n I didn’t know that a day time star is among them here days of our lives star FARAH GALFOND is on da table here doing well wish continued success here . Stay strong do ya best n don’t know if ya still on da show they must be so proud. Say his to da cast but she proudly doesn’t even read my post that’s ok . Great players here n Heah big ups to da announcers too.
Anyone know how they make the feature table pairing fair? How do they choose? On days 3, 4, 5….. is there some rotation going on with everyone but they try to grab a few big name?….or…?
The table draws are random from day 1 (so there's no manipulation to get a certain interesting player on the feature table with other interesting players). When a table breaks up, the players are also assigned to the open seats randomly. The PokerGo crew just look at what table (or two tables in this case) might be interesting for the broadcast (tables with more than one well known players, controversial players like William Kassouf/Ali Imsirovic, the (former) chipleader and talker Zhang etc) and then they just swap that table with the feature table (everyone on the table is told to move to the feature table with their stacks, and they obv keep the same seats relative to each other) and play continues. When another table in the field gets more interesting than the feature table (or when the table's gets less interesting for the broadcast because it's already been the feature table for like two days, they swap the players of the feature table with an outer table again). The fact the PokerGo broadcast is showing the hole cards on a 30 minute delay is the most important thing about being or not being on the feature table actually. If you're alone in Vegas, it's better to not be on the feature table (or you have to watch the stream on your phone while playing). If you have a buddy there who can follow the stream and keep you informed of what players were holding in past hands, talking to him/her on the rail between hands can be very useful
mike puntasouw bluffing into the big stack giving him 3 to 1 on a call flush is a call for sure mikes image is super strong but given the odds and the stack size call was justified
3 to 1 but you only win against a bluff. This A7o isn't a great combo to bluff but I think 98s being the bottom 3bet value range he can fold it (and has to?)
Matusow reraising 320,000 into a 400,000 pot, paired board and 3 to a flush... The opponent has to call a huge river bet with 9 high flush in a $10,000 tournament... of course it was a crazy tough call. I probably would have folded.
The dramatization of some of these hands is over the top. We need more players calling the clock on these exchanges, or have the dealers automatic initiate it once heads up all in starts. There’s no reason in earth a decision should take longer than 60-90 seconds.
If u really look at the matasow blowup hand, i woulda bet my life he had something better than 9high flush, the way he played it. Unfortuanatly they guy he bluffed had too many chips to fold at that price. But sheesh. Like if matasow had 7high flush, probably just calls the other 100k raise on the river on the river
if he was going to bluff he should have check raise bluffed the river, that would have looked stronger. Plus by betting first he didnt have enough chips behind to push the guy out.
@@drakedraven6961 correct but mike bet 70k after the river card and got raised so now the flush came in and its a paired board and Mikey 3 bet bluffs with the worst hand
@@kevincloonan9787that is exactly why it's a strong play. It's really not much to call his all in therefore he's showing absolute strength.. That's why it took him so long to call..as Mike said.. He could only beat a bluff.. I'm actually surprised he called
ZHANG IS MY HERO YES HE CAN GO IN MY FOX ALL DAY HE TELLING DUDE WHAT HE DO NOT N WHAT DUDE GOT $575 for dude make call n sees it’s a chop from me seeing this wow
15:00 so you can film, talk Chinese into the camera during the hand and then just sit there and discuss the hand in a 3-way pot...I guess they changed the rules...🤷🤦
Zhang played great but talking out loud by giving away information cause the guy misread his hand having set 7s or pair AK on the board when he's got A5. Yikes! Zhang, don't you ever shut up! You could've won that hand easily as he were about to fold his hand instead of chopping.
@@charlieh6866 that‘s right, but with looking into his hand he can gain information how the other player acts when being in a decision making situation.
Could be up against AK, cant fold to every 4 bet because QQ is among at the top of your range. You could argue 10s are a fold. Not QQ. Then what are you calling/shoving with? Just KK and AA when you are 4-bet? Then everyone can just bully you even though you are one of the bigger stacks
@@keithkelso9872 175 K and the raise was to like 565 K. The stacks are close, just let it go, if its a guy with 500 K total you of course go with it. It was obvious he had KK or AA you do not 4 bet AK or JJ you push it or fold.
Coming from watching 2005, 2008 and 2009 WSOP... The production of these, combined with the announcing is horrible compared to ESPN 2003-2011... Poker announcers are bad on almost every program now.
