@@Drawfornoone 13 players left, she's trying to make history being the 1st ever woman to make the main event final table. you dont do that against someone who has you way covered.
@@bricksnation9650 I know man im not saying it's a right move I'm just saying she just read the situation wrong but played great. It's about wanting to win but also conserving your stack to make final table
She was playing reverse range variable probability which is a high level theory about how to get yourself in situations where your opponent is never folding. This move is done best when your hand is as weak as possible for variance. :) You want your opponent always guessing when you are walking out to the parking lot and cussing whether or not you are driving the 1983 Civic or are taking the bus home.
I just can't help but think that Foxen's jam might be one of the biggest ICM punts I've seen in the tournament since Billy Kopp. If you are going to jam there, you really needed to have a lot more equity than just a naked gunshot.
Yeah also exactly what does she want to fold out... Ax hands (Something that he would probably check almost everytime there )? everything else she is in front off and might as well just call...
😝 foxen wont be in next five years. I saw her in person; this cámara is doing wonders for her on tv. I been going to the wsop this year. In fact; you would probably walk right by her in Vegas; not even know. Judging women by looks is over in modern times. I’ve come to conclusion; the “prettier” she thinks she is; the crazier the altitude. But she is “prettier” than Selbst; I mean a pug is also. So you know…. 😝 she’s a little bit nicer. But she’s also kinda of bitchy more so than most women. Would never want that as a Xwife; if you understand that. 😆 She’s the All-in wife or nothing; not the call and see style altitude.
I thought maybe that was just the way he carried himself, I haven’t seen him a lot and wouldn’t know so yea. If that was out of character he was silently screaming he couldn’t feel more comfortable imo, that’s the only thing I have against the move.
@@howlinhauler it screamed made hand for you because everyone’s cards are face up, so easy to just know what he has why aren’t you running deep in the main
Yes she is talented not here to throw dirt on her rep. Its called ICM and its there for a reason. With 40 million in chips just sit back and wait for a better spot. Make the final table and collect a million dollars. I know its always easy to second guess. Just lay it down.
Foxen blew it - she played rather bad the last 3 days actually and got very lucky in multiple spots to get this far.. this exit hand was a complete blowup from her
Still not sure what Foxen was doing on her bust out hand--Her story made no sense. She told Platt afterwards she was happy with the way she played the hand-- To that I can only say she "bluffed" to the very end even in her exit interview bc that hand was a progression of errors. There is no doubt that misstep and awful play will haunt her for quite a while.
Maybe she had a read on him. Even if wrong there. It's hard to say. I lobr when commenters think they know everything and everyone because they spectate it for a few hours online. With little actual context or being there.
Griff is such a nice dude. Heard him in the post-suckout interview with Platt, great fella. That said, Lena is a clear 99.99% favourite. GL for 2nd place, everyone else!
The reason people think this is so bad is because if they are UTG player they never bluff turn with all those combos so they imagine a complete diff range
The bluff made no sense …. There isn’t a reason to jam on the turn at all ! Maybe she thinks her stack will be to small to leverage it on river but would a straight go all in like that ? No
@@jaket1858It’s still gonna sting her for a loong while. I know it is 💯! She needs to be very happy with her accomplishment and let it go. It’s gonna be really hard considering all things. Being a female poker player, I was really rooting for her. I don’t even care who wins anymore 🙄😏
She could have been the 2nd woman ever to make the final table. Horrible punt trying to bluff with all that paint on the board. So many hands can beat her. No reason to bluff there.
Yeah the absolute last thing I want my opponents feeling at a table this important is gratification that their call vs. fold instinct is super on-point
Wow worst blowup I’ve seen in a while. She could fold her way to million dollar final table guarantee. What made her think he had nothing? End of the day, I could only imagine how many times she check jammed with worst hand and got there anyways playing so bad
She was delusional thinking she could get him to fold some Ax hands. She evidently doesn't know this guy's experience (multiple wpt final tables and wsop bracelet) and he had more than twice her chip stack. Easier people to bully at the table.
If you were watching Kristi, the reality of the situation was a bit different.. She was on tilt and bleeding chips for that last half hour or so. This combined with playing 8 straight days in high pressure with POKERGO featuring her constantly likely got to her. Doesn’t excuse a terrible decision at this point in the tournament but she had Bluffed in very similar situations earlier in the tournament that got through and would have sent her home.. everyone called her a genius then but now comes down hard on her. To me she played the best poker ive seen the last few days and was really sad to see her implode. Not really sure what she was looking at but he raised under the gun which implies Ax or high pocket pair
What similar situation dude? This situation is a unique situation where she is 6th in chips with 13 left and a stack that is very likely to make the final table and immortalize herself forever for being the only women in 3 decades to make a final table in the main and get a ton of money from sponsorship deals. Whatever hand you are talking about, the situation was NOT the same.
When she’s asked a question at 19:45 she just answers it with a more natural way of speaking. But when she’s just offering her own opinions without a lead-in she has this stunted, stilted pacing and a flatter delivery. Like she’s trying to add gravitas through it.
Her “announcer voice” is what a professional does. She’s speaks slowly and clearly so she’s easily understood and doesn’t make verbal mistakes. It’s exactly what you want someone calling a slower paced game like golf to do. She’s a professional and she behaves like one would when she’s doing this job.
Foxen made tge biggest blowup in wsip history. All she had to do is sit tgere and do nothing with 70 million chips and she would of made at lease 4th or 5th place money 2 or 3 million or more. Instead she gambles and loses and walks away with 600k payout. Greed is evil.
People not giving Serock enough respect for the way he played foxen. I honestly think she thought she got a read and thought he was bluffing and went for the bluff herself.
@@janheubeck8083 foxen was bluffing the whole tournament with quite a bit of success, on multiple occasions she didn't have the winning hand but her bets got folds from her opponents.
As every WSOP, there's always that one guy who hits a one outer or even runner-runner to save his tournament life and then starting at the final table as the chip leader. Griff is that guy this year. Poker ist so insane, that you can beat 99-1 odds and catapult your payout from 100k to 3 Million just because that one card came on the river. Crazy indeed.
Yep you don’t have to win every hand.Maybe you can try this in a cash game, lose,no big deal just rebuy but with these huge pay jumps it’s insanity She makes a FT and she gets massive sponsorship and huge exposure to the mainstream. She missed out on a huge amount of coin here
@@Gos1234567 definitely mate never understand that play you put your tournament life on the line to win back a small amount of chips knowing your only getting called with something better fold keep 75% of your stack amd wait for a better opportunity.
She was so used to bullying short stack players during the tournament she thought she could bully a much bigger stack. Honestly, she probably should have been out much earlier. I was rooting for her, but she made more than as few questionable plays
Foxen sucks, she shitout on monster hands for 6 or 7 days, she had the worst hand when the money went in, she beat QQs with A5 suited, Ace on river, should have been out Last week
PREACH! Everyone simps over her because she’s perfected the naughty librarian look. In the words of Tony G: She doesn’t deserve any applause! She went all in with King Queen off!
The Solver demands you shove with KQ there at a certain frequency. I honestly think the snap call with AK was A LOT worse of a play than shoving KQ there. You don’t just always snap off with top 2 there in the Main Event. GG Kristen GG
Serock playing solid. He just calls with AQx on SB when chip leader (Kim) raised. He doesn't wanna get busted out. Foxen did the opposite, tangled with the Big stack that could bust her out. Too much thinking of QT blocker, I guess. Ok to do in other tournaments, but probably (I'm not sure) a mistake in the Main Event. She's got the heart though.
Griff's adrenaline got the best of him if he would have waited for a long while Joe might've thought he was buffing and it was a desperate move to get him to fold
Im sorry but too many hands beat her.She should know that Serock is not only not bluffing but I mean what hands could he have that he is doing this with?I mean does she think he's doing that with K 10?Cause KJ and AK all have her in bad shape. Also I am so annoyed with the "He or she blocks this and that"Sure she blocks Q10 but so what that steal leaves QJ,AQ,Q10,QK as well that someone can have, so saying it blocks is just weird to me as there is still 3 other Qs out there someone can have
Foxen in my opinion three mistakes in that bluff, 1, you were in the top 3 near the final table, stay on defense, 2, Serock instinctive player without any logic or thought, the worst opponent, 3, never go all in in a bluff or semi bluffs when your chips are smaller than your opponent's
All in on the final card straight was pretty bold but stupid considering only a 10 would have saved her while the other guy was sitting pretty with that ace pair.
