The Livingstone and WSSU game has gotten heated early before tipoff on senior day in a sold out crowd. It was a lot of trash talking between the Livingstone men’s basketball and the WSSU fans that turned into a shuffle and had to be separated. WSSU was trailing 36-28 at the half but manage to bounce back in the beginning of the second half by starting off with a 10-0 run. The Rams was trying to extend the lead as much as possible but the blue bears was hanging in there with the help of senior guard, Roger Ray, and the big time shots he was making. The blue bears was up 66-64 in the last seconds until WSSU sophomore guard Jaylen Alston lay the ball in to tie the game with the assist from his teammate Jonathan Hicklin who is also a sophomore guard and which ended the regulation at 66. In Overtime, the Rams were able to make free throws down the stretch to lift them up with a 82-76 win over Livingstone. Roger Ray was fouled out in overtime and left it all on the court but it wasn’t enough. As the regular season wraps up, the CIAA is right around the corner and we will see who's going to take the title on the final year that's going to be held in Charlotte.
