In this stream we proceed with the F Major Prelude and Fugue from Well-Tempered Clavier Book I by J. S. Bach and discuss the „Moments Musicaux“ by Franz Schubert. #AvdeevaBachProject Original Facebook livestream from 9 July 2020
The F major key has his 'precursor' in Lydisch (f-g-a-b-c-d-e-f), and when from b after a, then a - b - c. Back to a: not a b a but a - b flat - a. There is a ciacona in F major of Pachelbel for organ. So carefree, and so unadorned, so natural. I don't know the right word. Bach has very much von them. And trills are there for keeping the musical tension or/and for expressive ornaments.13:06 I find the Moments Musicaux very substantial and with reflexion but not so earth-shocking. For me they are soul images. Nr.5 f minor is for me the wanderer on the horse, and at the end (twice) we are in F major!! Thank God! And thank you very much for this stream! Moment Musical No.2: 44:00
