I feel like the moly nerfs were just unnecessary, post plant lineups and stuff aren’t exclusive to viper and now people like killjoy can just do it better and that is saying something considering that most people will agree killjoy needs a buff.

@@lehgoose2813 fair enough. After some time I realized that I wouldn’t mind the molly nerf if it happened to all molly characters. Just the fact that brim can now molly with more damadge for a longer time only having to fire one molly is kinda weird in comparison. Especially since viper needs her orb to make the lineups valuable which means that she has to use 3/4 of her kit for a worse postplant than brim or killjoy.

Because, if pro league gonna ask for slight nerf then developers gonna nerf it to ground. Good example is last nerf of Kraber in apex, rare weapon which could kill in one shot in head now can't do shit at the moment in game that it start apearing

as a viper main, as soon as i heard about the nerfs i tested her in customs, and she honestly feels a lot worse to use now she's really the only viable smoker on icebox and breeze, and these changes make it so much more difficult to take a site honestly i felt like she was in a healthy spot so i'm really confused about the nerfs

Viper main here too. She's still a good secondary smoker, the problem viper (and astra) had before was she too good at her hybrid role. Very good smoker and one of the best sentinels; she was way to good so I agree that she definitely needed a nerf as much as it pained me, but I agree these nerfs were way to rough (especially for ranked where nobody wants to go smokes) apart from that, pros and other players do not like lineups very much haha

Yea she felt pretty okey but i guess they just wanna switch up the meta by buffing brim and omen and nerfing astra and viper, ofc as a main of the nerfed characters its always sad but i think this might be interesting for pro play.

after the nerf i played one game on bind, attacking A site. had a default lamps wall and heaven smoke. i had absolutely forgotten about the changes and activated the both. even before my duelists were able to get their first pick, the wall and smoke dropped due to less fuel. we ended up getting team aced by the enemy because of that since my full team was in A long and 1 jett on site, but the enemies, about 3 shot from heaven as soon as the wall and smoke dropped

Viper was a must pick on a lot of maps. I feel like Riot also just wants to move away from the post plant lineup meta, which I fully support. As fun as playing Snake Bit lineups is, it is also just incredibly cheesy and annoying and feels like it‘s going against the core of the game

I had so much fun playing her but now its like I'm fighting for my life when I use her smokes. The idea that fuel runs out quickly when both wall and orb is up makes sense but the decrease in time for both abilities is ridiculous, same thing about the mollies. Changing up the meta by gushing out petty nerfs to an agent that was already balanced doesn't make sense to me at all.

We can deactivate the wall faster, so we can confuse the enemies better coz of it... I guess now, mind games will work better.

Yeah. I like the changes. Faster smoke drop means being able to drop it randomly when your opponent's aren't ready and punish them. The molly nerf is unfortunate but not game breaking. It was already a bit short anyways. LOVE the light indicators on the utility and the red on your gas bar. Good changes overall. People are overestimating this. People will still play Viper. It really is going to be okay, even if she is a bit weaker.

Let's hope riot reverts the changes on viper, or im changing my main. I shifted from kj to viper after they buffed her, and now im going back to kj and i might main brim he is looking like a solid pick for small maps.

@@dhruvatikhe3730 her mollys are fine and pretty fair when it comes to past plant, you use three of your 4 pieces of utility to by time on spike defuse which can still be worked around if people half it, that means you don't have your orb to block off an angle or your mollys stop a push or clear a corner safely. With the nerfs there's more incentive for post plant though, since you want your wall up as long as possible since it's usually what's covering most of the dangerous angles
