I dont buy alot of the plot lines with the boys in this season. Like sage is supposed to be the smartest person in the world yet she just misses many red flags during this whole season. The only thing I can think is shes setting up a twist where she tries to take down homelander? Anyway, homelander is the highpoint of the whole show and its the main reason I'm still sticking with it .
Regarding Sage in the study… you see, really smart people often suffer from an opposite of the Dunning Kruger effect, where they feel like there’s gotta be a variable they’ve missed, or something they haven’t taken into account. So they go over their notes a lot. She was just doing that… especially before her big speech that was coming up. Studying, you could say. Also - I’m pretty sure it’s common knowledge that her only superpower is the brain and not any strength or resistance to bullets. The lucky part was that he shot her in the head, anywhere else and she likely would’ve died.
fun fact the book “for the sake of his daughter” is actually a real book written by one of the producers of the show. Why it's in Tek knights house? I don't know.

I interpreted that scene as Neuman recognizing Hughie but not intervening or outing him. She does not seem to be fully on one side or another and is playing to her own motives. She doesn’t have a good reason to get Hughie killed, someone she used to have a friendship with.

im pretty sure joe spells out that the part of his brain that turned into a tumour was also part the part that held joes death as a memory. not like it was only that memory but that section of his brain that contained it and possibly a part making him act without empathy
Also, the tranquillizer thing? It's a good idea, however bullets don't really harm them and some forms of blunt force have a hard time harming supes. Some supes don't have the best defense but a lot do. As we saw with Kimiko lead piping A-train or Maeve stabbing homelander's ears, you need to have more physical strength in order to injure another them and Starlight was not only super strong but the needle was pretty thick so you likely also needed strong materials combined with that power.
I do believe new noir is a homelander parallel as homelander is supposed to be the only hero that flies I think vought made a parallel as a just in case
Contrivances GALORE and lame meta awareness ruins the suspension of disbelief for me. The writers are already stretching believability with super-heroes so season four with Web-weaver and his "sickness" was a step too far for my tastes. I'm done with The Boys but will see what you think about the last two episodes sir Starkness. It was good while it lasted.
They didn’t just push a button they unlocked his personal labtop with a retina scan, thats how they accessed his accounts, his sidekick was helping them

@@Stark-Cinema Okay, but it would take way too long for the bank to have to call him and then confirm the transactions, they had to move the plot along. Of course, he could always cancel the transactions and say they were fraudulent but that's going to make it look really bad for its image if he donates all this money and then takes it back.
With the Boys always making comments on the ongoing political and social problems, I wonder if they also prepare this virus for supes storyline to tackle the question of the 2020 pandemic.. ?
Maybe, but it’s a little late for that one right?? Either way it’s something that us humans have had to deal with for a long time, basically through our whole history

We had to deal with pandemics during all human history, but the way the last pandemic interconnected with politics on so many levels, how the social networks like twitter and FB influenced and potentialized the information/desinformation was a new thing. If the exitence of the virus for supes becomes public, I think they at least do a "wink" at the subject...
It does seem like Compound V makes people more crazy and deluded, like with Firecracker. HOWEVER, that's probably just how they are. People can be insane monsters and we see that in the every day, it's just we have the means to subdue/stop them, it's just that when you're a Supe, you're stronger and get a lot more of an EGO boost. If someone like Ezra Miller was an actual Supe, he'd be the exact same, only that he'd be strong enough not to bother putting on a filter, and he wouldn't be afraid of forces like the police or FBI overpowering him.
I dont think the tranquilizer would work on more powerful supes like homelander, soldier boy, noir or Victoria. Acid had no effect on victoria, a bullet to the head didn’t work on her. I dont even think the needle would pierce their skin. Starlight shrugged off a 50 caliber sniper round so i think its safe to say that those tranqu darts will only work on less powerful supes and humans (security guards)
@@Stark-Cinema MM tried to knock out solider boy with halothane once but it didn’t work, he just ripped it like a bong. Only one gas can knock out solider boy but its like a vought secret. Thats how payback was able knock him out and give him to the Russians. So i think there is a gas powerful enough to knock out stronger supes but its a secret and the boys dont know
I honestly think hughie being a shitty impersonator works for him and the character, I think techknight didnt knew webweaver before in person (could be wrong, couldve missed smth) Other than that, pretty sure techknight is also just very distracted by the thoughts of wrbweavers...hole
