WTF happened to my KBEAUTY CUSHIONS?!?! 

I E-mailed Botanic Farm to ask what the heck happened. I was just morbidly curious and said their stuff looked pretty- because it is totally pretty and high end looking. The reply I got said that last year they had a batch of cushions go wrong. "The cushions during that batch cannot withstand heat and therefore melt into the product after being exposed to higher temperatures. We had recalled the product and sent out the improved cushion that does not cause this, but it seems some were still out in the market." So at least they weren't like...deadly? They just melted because it was too hot or something.

I think the sponge just disintegrated because you didnt use it for a long time kinda like how if you leave a rubber band out for a long time, it'll crumble since the expiration date only pertains to the actual liquid, you still need to be careful with the sponge ❤❤

The exact thing had happen to my green Botanic Farm cushion I really did luv the product but I hadn't use it for awhile for like 2 to 3 months but when I was gonna use it again it became exactly how your look idk what had happen it wasn't expired either I ended up just throwing the whole thing in the trash.

Open makeup is only good for about 6 months to a year. Expiration dates are more for shelf life, unopened.

but wait, isn't the expiration date in general? Like if you didn't open it (or opened it a month before it expires) so you can't use it anymore, and if you opened it a lot sooner usually there's a little icon that looks like a cream packaging and it has a number on it. That number represents how many months you can use it after you open it. E.g. say I opened a mascara today, and expiration date is somewhere in 2019, but it's usable for 10 months. That means that I shouldn't use it in July next year even tho expiration date is in 2019. You get what i mean?

Girl preachhh it! Hmong people are some of the most judgemental. They always have something to say and like you said, "Labels, Labels, Labels". Please everybody do realize that expiration dates go only for UNopened products! After you open the product for first time, most products will stay good only for 4-6 months, nevertheless what expiration date says. At least in Europe manufacturers have to mark on the container how long does it stay good after opening.

actually, it doesn't last until the expiration date if you already opened it/ used it. There's the months written on like a jar icon on the product and most foundations last 1 year tops after you open it. The expiration date that's printed is for how long it'll last if you don't open it/use it.

Expire date means it will expire that day if it is not opened. But when you open it, it can last a lot less. All cosmetic products have a little box written on them that say how many months it can last from the time it was opened. Don't make a mistake and think it will last 3 years from the time when you open any cosmetic product, it's not possible. God knows how many people don't know this 😂

I think the expiration date is only applicable if you have not opened the safety seal. It probably turned bad after you opened it and not used it for a long time :/

i dont think cushion can last more than a year after you open it. the expiry dates shown usually for the life time of the cushion before you open it.

Okay but I pulled out that EXACT green corrector cushion a couple days ago to use it because I had a bit of redness and mine did the same thing!!! Mine was less than a year old, and I didn't notice until I felt some of the grainy spongey bits on my face and looked down at the cushion 😮

I can completely understand what you mean. Hmong people in general be judgmental as hell, especially the OGs, and Hmong parents always be comparing you to other peoples' kids. They always be stressing you about how you should go into the medical field and shiet. Well it is the brand (or if not the whole brand at least part of the brand) if two of the exact same product have deteriorated like that, within the use by date. Maybe all their green correctors have that issue.

That actually happened to me a few years ago. My hair stylist gave me this CC cream cushion for my birthday and I was so excited to try it because it was my first cushion product, but the actual cushion just disintegrated when I went to go use it. Like every time I put the puff in to get some more, it would just break apart even more. Honestly, I questioned the authenticity of it when I first saw it because it was by some no-name brand (from my point of view/knowledge) from the Philippines. Luckily I didn't really care about it because it was free and it broke me out anyway lol

Try eliminating dairy out of your diet to alleviate your acne. I had way worse acne and not consuming dairy has greatly improved my skin

OH MY GOSH FEI! the same thing happened to my etude house mineral cushion, my second free cushion (in the compact) totally disintegrated the same way. It broke my heart so much, cause it was my first cushion and i loved the formula. I think maybe the temperature of my room or something so now i keep my beauty products FAR away from the sun i've the ac clean up cushion from etude house too! and it's fine even after so long. I suspect its either the reaction of the formula and sponge (or external factors like heat) ANYWAY I'm glad it didn't only happen to me cause I felt dumb not knowing how to store my first cushion refill. I'm currently using the moonshot (Awesome finish but the scent is such ugh and eww) AC Clean Up is still bombbbbb. Hope this wasn't too long for a first comment :*

so regarding the puff, not the actual cushion- I'm noticing this with some of my cushions: tiny black spots :( My first conclusion is mold but what why how? they aren't wet or kept in any humid area? and I am always clean before use. anyone else have this issue?

Most of my friends I grew up with are Hmong and I'm Armenian. My former friends and friends I don't really talk to these days since most of the times were all busy with our own lives. One of my ex-friends told me this awhile back when I was in high school that if the parents got divorced, they lose their last names. If a girl came home late and their parents caught them outside with a friend that is a guy, they have to get married. I know there are certain rituals when it comes to marriage and is alot different on how most people do it. I used to remember a story a friend of mine told me regarding a ghost or spirit and somehow it haunts them if they witness it. One of my close friends would always invite me to their house to make Hmong food for birthdays and other events and it was beautiful.

Personally i had an experience like that. That also happen to my etude house cushion. First time i dont really sure about that temprature. But i think it again,mybe its true about a high temprature. My cushion is totally broke. But i still using that one until they are already empty and the sponge cushion are gone mix with the product. And it doesn't make my skin in trouble😆 i hope it doesnt over and over again 😆

I was looking through my make up stuff the other day and saw that the sponge kind of shrunk and when I tried fixing it, i pressed onto it, it was just like yours ! I was shook and went through my other cushions, Idk what happened to it but my other cushions were fine. 😭🤔😳
