Great review! Welcome to the family business! Lawrence is a 8 piece band fronted by Clyde and Gracie (siblings). They are a soul pop band out of NY. The backup singers in this video are just for the acoustic versions. They've just launched a headline tour to support their 4th album. I guarantee they will be in your neck of the woods, so I'd highly recommend seeing them live, as the shows are 🔥! I back all the other Lawrence song recommendations the other commenters have suggested and want to add one myself - From the first album, "Do you want to do nothing with me?" And again, welcome! The rabbit hole beckons!
They did songs for the Disney movie Noelle..Gracie is in the movie as well. They grew up around the arts..their dad used to write for films and became a producer.
Acoustic versions of Dont Lose Sight, The Weather, Guy I used to be, 23, etc... cant go wrong.... One of the best live and up and coming groups... they are amazing.
What a phenomenal reaction! I really love not only your reaction to the music, but the intelligent conversation about the lyrics and meaning of what they are saying. Bravo!
I love Lawrence so this is how I found your video, but wow I really loved and appreciated both of your vulnerability and genuineness! Also it’s so clear how much you respect each other and that’s awesome to see! Keep doing what you’re doing!! 🥹
Absolutely loved this reaction and all of the very real things that you guys had to say about faith. To me, Lawrence kind of proves to me that music is universal. They're all so joyful in all of their acoustic-ish songs and the musicianship is next level.. if you haven't already, please react to their acoustic-ish of "Whatcha Want", which was just released a few days ago.
Yep they're a murderer's row of talent. We've got VIP tickets to their show in Fort Lauderdale in September. Look up where they're playing near you and go.
You guys had great commentary and thoughts on everything, and your appreciation for their ridiculous sangin' felt so genuine, 10/10 reaction, subscription earned - PLEASE react to their acoustic version of "Don't Lose Sight"
Also, if yall want to be completely surprised by the vocal capabilities that come out of someone that doesn't look like they should be able to sing how they sing. Check out the singer Allen Stone. Specifically his version of the Bob Marley song "Is This Love" live at Bonnaroo or his song "Unaware" live from his mother's living room. I promise you won't be disappointed.
