I really feel you... Had an engine blow up in the final race of my stock car series. It all went well. But ALWAYS think about why you started. Why you wrenched so many nights, what you wanted to reach back then. Even when only ONE person cheers, you made that one person's night. That's what makes it worth all the pain
Ya know, since January I had a feeling that this was gonna be a turnaround MJ Season for ya, and I still have that feeling. I don't think Indy went half bad. TWS Win Semi Finals in Racing Pretty Good Freestyle But it can only get better from here! #RoadtoWorldFinals
It was a rough weekend for almost every team. 9 out of the 14 trucks in the pits during intermission during show 1. But everyone pulled together and out on two great show for the fans. Including you mikey. And I'm glad I'm not the only one to drive 6+ hours to watch you all run lol. BTW indy is such a beautiful city and stadium for anyone who thinks about going!
Damn dude, you guys are wheelin these things!! I mean obviously we already knew that, but this in truck footage really puts into perspective!! Just insane brother, awesome.. All the horsepower in the world and just about 100 feet to use it.. lol Sitting in your office and you are working my friend, this is really cool. New follower here, I really enjoyed this. Stay safe out there oh, and keep up the great work
This was a very good weekend honestly, of course it's always lousy to loose an engine, however your track time made a statement. Very strong showing across all 3 event types, and you held your head up through the struggle in between shows. Much respect my dude, and always good to see trailertrash make his cameos
Sounds like maybe you guys need a new engine and motor,I'm telling you....a new higher powered engine could change this whole season frown upside down. :) But as always love the content and good luck in minny! throw it down! And try a miniflip,it's probably the safest backflip to do. 👍🏾
almost shocking to see this almost uploaded on my b-day (which is the 12th of this month BTW if anybody's reading this) 1:39 pure gold XD 5:16 pretty sure that's the digger quota if anybody wants to join the team (NGL that's legit me in a nutshell.) 5:30 *yeets water bottle after drinking what seems to be very little* stay hydrated bud. always 11:13 oh god not you again XD good stuff 17:18 couldn't agree more :)
Dry sump!!!!!! Gotta feed that motor when your on its nose starving it of oil!!! I don't know what u get paid for a two wheels win but I gaurentee it ain't no alky big block repair bill!!! I watch your oil press go to 0 every time and think WHY!!!!!! IT AINT WORTH IT!!!!!!!
Well DAMN! Stumbled upon your channel from a recommended video a couple weeks ago. Liked what I saw so I subscribed. Now I find out that you drive monster trucks for a living!? Damn man, glad I stumbled upon your channel. Keep up with the great videos!
These videos are just the best. So cool to see how all you drives are like friends behind the scenes. Been following Monster jam for years and its so cool to see some in depth behind the scenes stuff.
I doubt you will answer this but that is the main cause of your motor damage? Also how long do they usually last? And late are the motors built with off the self parts?
Watched ya on NBCSN a nice show ...you were getting a lot of luv from the announcers. Truck looks GREAT on tv and I believe you are in 6th in points...still not bad considering your rough start.
Aloha Mike!! Awesome vid as usual. Jim Koehler is one wacky guy. Lol ever since the early 2000s he has been a high energy type of guy. Lol. Looks like you have made some progress in figuring the truck out. I bet you will turn the season around very soon and put a beat down on the competition!! Good luck at the next show!!
I know you guys know more than I do on the subject, but I was just wondering about those long Moonwalks you do, and if that could be some of the causes of your engine failures. It seems to me, unless you already have some system in place to prevent oil loss, that when you stand the truck up on its nose, all the oil would drain away from the pickup? I could see your oil pressure dropping dramatically in the in-car video when you stood it on it's nose.
We sat lower level for the first time. Great show! We came out on Sunday and the boys were hoping you were going to win the skills challenge. We thought you had it but Black pearl had a killer run. Looking forward to hopefully being able to get pit party pass next year for Indy! Good luck brother!
Eating breakfast at the TA in Hudson Wisconsin I look out the window and there’s your guys truck just sitting there 😆 good luck this weekend in Minneapolis guys
With hard racing followed by no oil pressure in two wheel skill, no wonder it keeps spinning bearings and throwing rods. How many engines need to go boom in the moster truck world before someone inovates and makes a dry sump oil system work? Traxxas as a whole, is a no go for me. Yes I have owned them, worked on them and hated the build quality and quality control.
So that was the primary you suspected was broke before and just put back in.Some of the best engine machine shops in the world are in Indy so hopefully you guys get that bullet back 2gether.
Always got your back Mike!! Looked super rad to me!! Just send it!!! You are a hot rod super star and that’s what these boys do, FN, send it!!!! Love you bro keep on!
I went to the Indy show as I do every year for the past 13 years and I was sitting there watching you knowing that in a few days you'd upload a video and I'd get to kinda see all what happens behind the scenes at Indy. The Saturday day show was good but the Sunday show was absolutely amazing you guys killed it. Tho I bet those torn up trucks was a pain. Amazing show and good job on the two wheel skill win it had everyone on there feet!
I got some tickets for Minneapolis this week, can’t wait! It’ll be my first time going to a big monster jam show. Been to the triple threat show a few times in Milwaukee which is a lot closer to where I live. Finally said screw it what’s a few extra hours of driving to see a big stadium show.
Great job at Indy on Saturday. It’s unfortunate that you were not able to do freestyle but you got a good place in racing and one two skill so that’s good. I was the one in the snap-on hat I don’t know if you remember me but I was there. Nice job overall though.
Nice to see professional monster jam on RU-vid i dont watch to much TV anymore I like real reality shows like this. Not that fake bs that the big networks feed us.
Was a fun weekend brotha. Was a pleasure meeting you guys and working on the big toys. Good luck with the rest of the year hopefully catch you again sometime
I would love to come see you, but the big event that would be closest to me is New Orleans, Louisiana. Love watching the videos man, wishing you luck every video and every event!
Possibly could the new shocks be a issue why you keep having troubles? Last year you never had these type issues. Put your king shocks back on and maybe incorporate them with your new set up possibly.
Man wish you guys were comming to the detroit show. Missed ya at the monroe fair. Nice to see a privateer hanging with the multiple corporate trucks. Brings memories of the old penda days.
Yeah i missed the show this year here in Minneapolis. But I won't next time you all come to the twin cities. Keep up the good work my son has all of the hotwheels monster truck series.
All things considered it seems like you guys had an okay weekend I mean obviously a blown engine is never good but at least you performed decently in the first show and did the best with what you had in the second show
Mike would you he allowed to run an accusump or dry sump setup in your truck in MJ series. Not sure if you are running an accusump but seems like more consistent oil pressure would help keep the rods in her.
I see all the bad as leaning curve bucease you never know what it will through at you like you engine blowing or oil leak or gas braking but we all know that you will come back strong
