Nope I love Marc he cracks me up. Ive listened to all eleven hundred plus conversations he has. They are not interviews. If your here because you think it's a celebrity interview your lost. They are just people. No gods no masters.
Just wanted to say i. never. Listened to your show before and don't know who you are .But i just listened to your interview with Zach G. And. I never laughed so hard. You are hilarious !!!
Man, hearing him talk about asking people to buy alcohol. That brought back memories. Definitely a thing of the past. If you did that now, you would be in some trouble if caught.
5/2023..........When I was in my 30s,.....I would offer college freshmen, (guys & gals), who were still too young to buy hard liquor, in my state. To buy it for them. I thought I was repaying ( the favor) to all the older kids, who did that for me and my friends, when we were too young. We had older kids as friends, who got us Boone's Farm wine, when we were still in high school. What the heck does it matter now? I'm 70 years old, presently.
I've been listening to a bunch of these over the past few months. It's been cool to see Marc's interview style change and also having the benefit of perspective knowing when these occurred vs what's transpired in the interim. (Like Louis CK) When I spotted this interview I was really looking forward to it, but I couldn't even get half way through it. I was not prepared for the level of conceit, just never saw that coming. But worst part was that you could tell Zach was just waiting to stop things in their tracks and say "what do you mean" or "what did you mean by that". It felt like a game of gotcha and after a while (43:41 to be exact) I just couldn't take it anymore.
I'm fully with you on this but i also have to point out that Marc (i believe) is trying to use Zachs antagonistic "between two ferns" style against him At times its almost too ridiculous to believe.. but then again there are plenty of even worse Maron interviews
Yes they are riffing off each other sarcastically which is totally acceptable when Zach G. is the guest... I got the sense they are both enjoying it and it seems like a perfectly civil and enjoyable and amusing discussion, not really seeing it as gotcha at all
