I'm a poor white woman. I'm also 60 years old. Trump calls the FICA tax that has been taken out of my paychecks since 1979, an entitlement. I've been on SSDI since 2017. A Neurosurgeon cut my Carpal nerve in my left hand and I haven't been able to work since. My life is a series of doctors visits, surgeries, and heart medication. My bestie is in the hospital dying from Cancer. I worked with her in 2014 at Walmart. She is black. It's been a struggle just to get the nurses to take care of her properly. 😪.

Ma:m I am so sorry for your situation. I am 69 and began work when I was 14 ( a summer youth program in NC). FICA has been around since my first job in 1969. Please take the time to study and find out about things that really affect your life. Really and truly, poor people can be intelligent as well. I'm not sure if you're thinking Trump is going to take away FICA but I'm pretty sure he won't. Furthermore, FICA is not a major determinant of wealth. Try to understand RM. The info you receive here will really explain things to you and then you will hopefully be encouraged to dig deeper and read and search out the facts about taxes and other aspects of our economy for yourself. I'm black and they're making me nervous. I know far too many people who literally tell me they refuse to watch ANY type of news because it's "too depressing". They generally aren't even familiar with officials and events they absolutely should be aware of. I also know too many young black folks who are entertained by trumps antics and would literally vote for his "humorous" insults and chaos with no understanding of how this could overturn their entire way of living. That's frightening beyond this election.
