Same happened with my best friend. I didn't show him one but I told him after you watch the reactors a few times you get to know them and it's like watching a movie with a friend and seeing how they like it. Then he said he gets it.
I mean, if you think about it from a technical/objective perspective, it most definitely sounds like a completely ridiculous waste of time and weird form of content to find entertaining in any way. But, when taking a more Intrinsically subjective look at it, you immediately understand why it is so entertaining. It's fairly similar to that feeling you get when you show a friend a funny video clip or a song, and you anticipate their reaction and watch it live in real time.
"This must be some white people stuff..." Going to a remote cabin to party isn't common among all people? 🤣🤣🤣 Try The Blackening for the black version of this trope Leo. Tucker & Dale vs Evil is another 'white people in the woods', but played for comedy.
"Is this a white people thing?" LOL. Yes. As a white girl, I can confirm we love to do sketchy outdoor shit in the woods. I don't know why we're like this, but your comment had me dying laughing.
This movie is awesome. Totally didn't expect it going in when it first came out. It's basically satire. The God's are we, the audience. We expect certain things from horror, or really any movie, to appease us. Absolutely love it.
Q: What sound does it make when you hit a zombie with a giant coffee mug? A: Bong. I was so happy to see you do this one. It's such a wild ride, such a fun movie, one of my absolute favorites. And I knew you'd love Marty. There was a great Eddie Murphy routine years ago about the difference between white people and black people in horror movies. Black person, entering the house: "Look at this place, isn't this a nice place? I could live here." Voice: "GET OUT" Black person, without missing a beat: "Too bad we can't stay."
😅😂😂I Laughed At Your Reaction When You Saw Marty Wasn't Dead. The Shocked Look on Your Face(33:51mark)😂😅....Marty is my favorite character in the movie. He was speaking facts throughout the whole movie. Great Reaction👍🏾💯👍🏾
33:40 BEST PART!! Marty is THAT GUY! 🎉🎉🤯 I always watch the intro and outro to your videos, I don't know who is skipping it but they are missing out! 🖤🖤
I love the fact that the "stupid stoner" is the only responsible person throughout. It goes against ever horror movie trope and is a perfect addition to the story!
I never skip the intros/outros! I tune in for *you*! Thanks for everything, all the years since the big TV, getting us thru the pandemic, ...everything!! Mr. V/Leo is the man!
This is my favorite standalone horror movie. It's very good at presenting an almost satirical behind-the-scenes look at other horror films. It also pays heavy homage to many franchises, most notably the Evil Dead, and is considered loosely connected to the Left 4 Dead games as well.
It doesn't work on its own, without meta knowledge. I watched it once with a group of people who didn't know the references, and they really didn't like it.
Well now that I'm thinking way too much about the filming of that scene, I assume that the sugar not only would make it a more pleasant taste, but also help trigger salivation so you wouldn't get an awkward dry tongue in the middle of the...act.
Great reaction. This movie is also a hilarious way to look at the movie industry as they try to appease the demanding fans and public. The ancient ones are us the views. ;)
say what you want about the man, but Joss can write some good material. Firefly and Serenity are S-Tier and this flick is awesome too. Fun fact: Marty's actor was apparently super ripped w/ 6 pack etc which wasn't what they thought a stoner would look like, hence them swaddling him in sweaters etc for the movie
I think the intro and outro are just fine the way they are. If you haven't seen the movie yet idk what they are expecting to hear about the movie from you until the end lol.
2:13 - BRUH I’m weak, I always watch your intro and outro. No need to look up anything before watching the films, some will give away too much. I like the way you roll now.
Hi Mr V you been busy. Thank you for reacting to this. I love a good horror. Big hugs for Bella and love to you and your family ❤ I think your intros are great.
Hopefully he goes and watches the original Evil Dead Trilogy (maybe even the TV show) after this somewhere down the line, lol. Please, know that he doesn’t *have* to! I know he's already got a full enough plate as it is!! ^^; I'll be watching this later, been a while since I've seen one of Leo's videos!! It'll be fun to come back!!
my guy so stoked that you finally watched this movie. I absolutely love this movie. I think the young Chris Hemsworth does a good job in it. but obviously, my favorite character in the movie is the stoner

Where you stream from has categories. All you need to know is the title and the category, for instance "Cabin in the Woods" - Horror / Sci-fi / Comedy. You're good!
This movie was surprisingly good! Very different than the usual horror movies. My favorite part is where Curt close lines Patience Buckner. I laughed out loud at that part. I knew you'd love Marty. ❤
the auto subtitles at 23:28 was hilarious "richual" just like you said it:D lol great reaction, this is imo, both the best 'take' on horror movies but also just a really solid horror movie. I recommend this to folks who "don't like horror" because they always end up enjoying the subtext. Thanks again for another great reaction. Please do some New Zealand films! Whale Rider, Boy, The Hunt For The Wilderpeople and The frighteners are all classics:)
Just got done with watching dune 2 for the second , got home rolled something and now watching you watch another bopper of a movie, I’m having a great day
I personally prefer when you go into the movies not knowing anything! I try to do the same thing irl :) a lot of time the summaries/trailers have spoilers
such a fun movie. love the blend of comedy and horror. another great one (besides the obvious Scream franchise) is Behind the Mask: The Rise Of Leslie Vernon. It has a cult following and takes place in a universe where all the classic movie slashers are real people and being a "slasher" serial killer is treated like a profession. A college documentarian crew is sent to follow the life of the next up and coming slasher killer named Leslie Vernon. It does a great job breaking down the tropes seen in slasher films.
Reaction starts at 2:47 😂 Jk Leo.. you're intro's are funny to me. They are just interaction haters. I am not that's why you see algorithm JEFF from time to time
I love when you watch these types of movies Leo. Since you watched this, time to watch Evil Dead 2013, so you can see where that cabin in the woods comes from
Movie starts @ lol I actually watch your whole videos, you're funny as heck 🤣 Also, maybe you could watch just teaser trailers for the movies if you want to see a little more beforehand. I personally like going in as blind as possible though. And I knew you and Marty would be besties hehe
I've always thought it'd be cool to hear the top 5 news stories of the year the movie you watch was released. Just to get a feel of what life was like when people first saw the movie. Just an idea for your intro, might not be your thing tho. :)
I had to ferret proof my room when i was in highschool. Those little creatures are too curious for thier own good and are not as durable as cats/dogs. All my sockets that were within its range i put socket protectors in so it wouldnt shock itself. And I had to block off under my bed incase it wanted to just stay there and mess around. Oh and my closet door was flimsy so i had to tighten it up and have nothing on the floor of my closet other than heavy boxes because my ferret liked to steal socks/clothes and light shoes. So didnt have to baby proof but did have to fetret proof at one point in my life.
I've been watching your videos for a few years. I just wanna say I always tune in start to end and always will. Love your content and keep on doing your thing man
Fun fact: the scenes towards the end of the movie, where she hits the "purge" button, was a single line in the script. "There is chaos on every screen." They did as many special effects practically, and where you can see stuff on screens in the background of shots, it was actually shot, filmed, and played on screens during filming. Amazing special effects work in this film.
I personally decide movies based on poster images or the name. I stopped looking up stuff about movies since 2008, and just going in blind, and it makes them so much of a better experience. I saw this movie simply because it was a cabin being rotated around like a rubix cube. That was a dope visual and I've never regretted my decision on this movie.
That's probably the best way to go in at this point, save yourself from paid-reviews/reviews that are just hate-based which drums up their money, avoid the promotional marketing (i.e. "the best things are in the trailer"), avoid trailers spoiling the movie (The Crow as a recent example, that's just the whole movie in 3 minutes), avoid unintentional bias, avoid socio-political humdrum, all the annoying shit. Just going in with a clean slate and no opinions whispering in the corners of your mind but your own, letting display earn its merits and stumble where it's deserved. Good logos.
The reason Marty always has multiple layers on is they tried to cover him up. He was actually more muscular than Chris was at the time. Since he's the stoner he had to not look too much like a jock for the stereotype to work
Hey Mr. V. So stoked for this one, I love a cozy cabin in the woods. One of my fav fun horrors, yay! In my opinion the gods at the end should have been satisfied. They only needed a fool and a virgin at the end and if u think about it the young grl Patience counts as the virgin more so than Dana and the Director could replace the fool, plus Marty may be high but hes no fool. So when they both go off the side it should have satisfied them. I know, I know Ive heard every reason why it didnt, but still, lol. I know horror is hard on u so heres a virtual hug. 🤗🤗 Marty lives, reaction priceless, loved it. The elevator rooms remind me of the film "Cube" psychological horror, great movie. Thanx darlin', take care, Peace
