It's not selling out..they sold drugs...then they sold something else(liquor) so they were true to their nature....to those rappers that didn't sell drugs (ie. Ice cube, warren g..)...well u got a point
"With St.Ides in my system Crack another,Im blessed//lets go get the next one Hang it over/the object is to stay sober/ Lay on the sofa/better yet ,dial my chauffer " FIRE from Raekwon on a beer ad!!! These cats were invincible in their prime!!
Call me the wallabee champ, stressed out? Could never be son. Richochet daily hit the deli for a cold one. Naturally blessed, yes, my rap is like a laserbeam, the horns in the bushes, St. Ides fills the canteens. Goddamn Ghost....
U-God and Masta Killah stay gettin slept on. Regardless of how you feel about them as solo artists they’re indispensable to Wu Tang and are responsible for some classic verses to some classic songs (Da Mystery Of Chessboxin, Winter Warz, Triumph).
Wow i have been looking for this Since Built for cuban linx, i knew this was a real song when i was young, but on the cd they was talking over this track . Thank You for putting this on.
I listened to the beginning of Spot Rusherz mad times wondering what song that was in the background and didn’t find out it was a St. Ides commercial until years later! God bless the Internet!!!!
That production is off the chain by RZA. this shit str8 send chills up my spine listenin to chic in the background say "St. Ides all seductively and shit! This shit bangs hardcore for a fucking commercial. RZA needs to go ahead and buy the rights from St. Ides. so he can use of of their albums. Bring that shit back to life.
I just heard this song on hot97 old school at noon ...always heard it in beggining of spot rusharz and never knew name of it crazy drove me nuts for 17 years great track original wu can't fuck with no one
man I cried when I finally found this song. I have tried to figure out what this beat was from 14 years old till 2 weeks ago. nicest wu tang beat I ever heard.
@ruinawish I thought Razor Sharp produce it like everybody thought, but it was Method Man.Surprised nobody took it to make it a real track on their album.
I saw in an interview that Meth was messing around with the piano sample and actually came up with teh piano loop. Ho wever the rest of the track came together from the drums that bass/gtr riff and the stab, this track is fire. Method and Rae!!!!!
I been looking for the video for a while to add to my collection. I remember seeing it once back in the day. It's like a house party with dirty sittin on a couch and mef runnin around.
Rza's verse was nuts. I spent some time back in high school searching for this song and couldnt understand how there was a wu song i didnt know. Makes sense now 22 years later, dont have st ides in aus.
maan I found this song at the beginning of spot rusherz and thought this gotta be a wu track avaiable somewhere. too bad its only so short. ghostfaces part FUCKIN KILLED this thang...
Wu-Tang is by far the best rap group ever. Their beer commercial here is better than anything Young Money has put out. Put them in their prime against anyone, and there's be NO competition. I mean really...young money? GOOD music? TRAPAHOLICS?! Lol I respect all forms of rap music but clearly some deserve more respect than others.
a big shout out 4 da person who gave me a whole dvd filled with hip-hop classics such as this...i had no idea where in the world stuff like this could be found or even existed ......... A.K O2 PROPSSSS :)
out all st ideas commercial i have seen this one is clearly the best the beat the rhyme to the style all of it is superb the meth & red one ic cool and 2pac & snoop too
