I would say if you need something really small to keep in pocket for occasional light or some repairs to attach to an cap or tshirt hd10 is enought. If you need something with a lil bit of throw + spot, 2x biggers size is not a problem, and 3x hevier is not an issue then hd15. You can always eventualy buy 18350 cell and chenge tube on hd15 for shorter and you will get a bit lighter, like 1,5 maybe 2cm shorter flashlight the only big problems I have with this idea is that, runtime will be same as HD10, you cannot use pocket clip.
