This carousel was built in 1911 by Arthur Looff, this type of carousel was know as the Coney Island style, because the horses were more colorful and had more glass & jewels on the carvings of the Horses. Arthur's older brother was famed carousel builder Charles ID Looff, who built the very first carousel at Coney Island, and also the historic 1905 Looff carousel that operated at Playland at the beach in San Francisco from 1913-1972. It was beautifully restored after Playland was demolished in 1972 and it still operates today in San Francisco at the Yerba Buena Gardens park near the Moscone convention center!! 👍
As for the row with 3 horses, maybe add a head down open mouth horse with beautiful decor. It would make that row that use to offer 3 horses, the only row with each open horse having different head positions. It’ll also be an original unique horse to the carousel as well instead of it being a clone.
