Cedar Fair has a bad track record of keeping its band organs on its vintage carousels running, but for Cedar Point's 150th anniversary season the Wurlitzer 153 on the Midway Carousel, built in 1912 by Daniel Muller, was restored.
I went to Cedar Point in 2008, and was never lucky enough to ride their carousels to real band organ music. They played recorded band organ music, and was just not the same. I did have fun though! Cedar point used to have 4 carousels plus the Cedar Downs Racing Derby, a high speed carousel, one of only 2 left still in operation, provided that Ryes Playland in Rye, New York is still around. I also recommend MERRY GO ROUND MUSEUM in Sandusky. They have a WurliTzer 105 and WurliTzer modified 125 band organ with a 153 organ facade and WOODEN TRUMPETS.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing. I hope to get to Rye Playland soon. The Merry Go Round Museum is also on my list, but Cedar Point is a very tempting distraction. Hopefully this organ is maintained for years to come now.

Yes, I did all the editing to the MIDI files, that being why the drum compensation is correct and all notes hit at the same time. Other organs on MIDI do not play like this! "Coppelia" is my arrangement which appears on my roll 14543.
@@MechanicalMusics Somewhere I saw a recent video of this organ playing your arrangement of "Those Magnificent Men And Their Flying Machines." Will that be on a roll at some point?
I have no idea. Maybe someone more knowledgable will chime in. I know that they had some new rolls custom made with old Cedar Point marches and other tunes.
