All cover artists take note, this is how to do it. Too many people try to sing it like Kate, you can't she is one of a kind. This is the perfect cover version, full of understated power and deep emotion. Fully captures the original but makes it completely his own. Well done Tom well done!
@@mikezooper I was happy he didn’t try to mimic Kate Bush. I felt the same until about halfway through and maybe just because it’s a guys voice I saw it more from Heathcliff’s point of view and it’s really heartbreaking. So I think it’s a great companion to Kate’s classic.
This version hit me differently than the original. It hit on the universal feeling of losing someone you love and choosing to be haunted by them. I’m not crying, you are.
This song has so much emotion built into it. The church bells sounds like wedding music and religious theme music, the beginning of ones life. then the love and throws and anguish sounds of rocky romance. then the music box piano is playing the theme that represents a lifetime of events being remembered, and questioning if it was all worth it.
The sound of the acoustic is so immediately evocative of a cold, misty moorland and rly captures the atmosphere of the novel so beautifully. Also ADORE the subtle change from “I’m Cathy” to “your Cathy” in the chorus; it’s equal parts romantic and sinisterly eerie when you remember that it’s Cathy’s ghost that supposed to be saying it
Kate Bush's original version with the distinctive high pitch and dramatic tone is iconic, but this more folky and heartfelt version where the lyrics shine in all its beauty is my favorite. This is one of those times when you wish you could hit the like button more than once, so the video could get to more people.
One o'clock in the morning, I'm trawling through Kate Bush covers on ye olde RU-vid and-huh, that guy looks like OH IT IS! Great cover man, I've missed this voice!x
Your voice has this faded, poignant quality to it that makes it so heartwarming. I can also hear your vocal agility and the pitch accuracy is awesome. Love it.
There are no words!!!!!! Difficult song. Everyone knows Kate Bush's version but ... this is hypnotic, beautifully sung ... a MASTERPIECE !! AMAZING version !!!!!!!!!! Congratulations Tom !!!
Amazing! Why only 47K views?!? This acoustic cover is the best!! Prefer this over all other versions, including the original. Absolutely in love with it!
actually got chills when the the first chorus came through- the pause and clarity gave the song a depth that the already amazing song didnt have for me - this felt more like a love song than a pop song - great job
Out on the wily, windy moors We'd roll and fall in green You had a temper like my jealousy Too hot, too greedy How could you leave me When I needed to possess you? I hated you, I loved you, too Bad dreams in the night They told me I was going to lose the fight Leave behind my wuthering, wuthering Wuthering Heights Heathcliff, it's me, I'm Cathy I've come home, I'm so cold Let me in your window Heathcliff, it's me, I'm Cathy I've come home, I'm so cold Let me in your window Ooh, it gets dark, it gets lonely On the other side from you I pine a lot, I find the lot Falls through without you I'm coming back love Cruel Heathcliff, my one dream My only master Too long I roam in the night I'm coming back to his side, to put it right I'm coming home to wuthering, wuthering Wuthering Heights Heathcliff, it's me, I'm Cathy I've come home, I'm so cold Let me in your window Heathcliff, it's me, I'm Cathy I've come home, I'm so cold Let me in your window Ooh, let me have it Let me grab your soul away Ooh, let me have it Let me grab your soul away You know it's me, Cathy Heathcliff, it's me, I'm Cathy I've come home, I'm so cold Let me in your window Heathcliff, it's me, I'm Cathy I've come home, I'm so cold Let me in your window Heathcliff, it's me, I'm Cathy I've come home, I'm so cold ****muito bom!

Excellent cover. Unlike nearly all other covers I saw (except wolfmother's one) , you do not copy the original, you do it with your style and tonality. And nice voice at all. Thanks
i clicked on this very apprehensively as its my favourite song possibly ever...but...wow...you have nailed it completely..made it your own...well done...amazing...
You brought this song down to a folk song and it works. It's a real nice version, might like better in some way, but, I've always liked simple acoustic guitar and vocal. Has a nice feel to it!
Hearing this cover done by a man is testament to what a great song this. We're so used to hearing the high soprano or falsetto sign this song, which is just fine. But your take on this song does it great justis. Very nice job.
Been searching for a lifetime for a real cover on acoustic guitar of this song...bearing in mind that the Arthur Niland cover is the best, this is a wonderful version...thanks Tom....and I agree fully with the comments of Think!..from 2 years ago.
I'm a die-hard fan of the original, and I'm not overly keen of this cover. However, your voice is truly lovely and I'm glad I found your channel from this.
damn.... thanks so much for this one :) first time I heard somebody serving the song first (instead of using the song to makes themselves bright), grats :)
I saw a glimpse of this guy winning on the Baftas last night. 'Is that the guy who sings my favourite acoustic version of wuthering heights', I thought to myself, and I was right. Obviously a very talented chap. Well done!
What a song to pick. I am newly obsessed with Kate Bush. Didn't know about her before Stranger Things, but I must say she seems to transcend the music industry. She's fascinating Also, where I think other artists go wrong is they don't transform the song enough in their cover. One thing I love about Kate's is the drama of her movements, that partners the extreme sound she gives. The theatrically sells all of it so well. Minus that, it's not as intriguing to me. But yours straps all of that away and I think slows down the song to a more melancholy area. It works well.
This is wondrously made. I love your sweet, deep voice - it matches the sound of guitar excellently! You're also handsome so it's a pleasure to my eyes as well! Thank you so much for making this cover!
You should place your covers on some platform, they are very good and this one is undoubtedly magnificent and I can even say that it is more enjoyable than Kate Bush's version.
