the lion boy in this game came way before gaming. the first time we saw him was about a year ago by now so yeah if anything it should be genshin you’d accuse of copying lol (except ofc there’s no copying really its a cultural thing)
@@ameame32 not to mention wuwa in general has plunge attacks for everyone it’s built in the game so even if it’s not a common thing irl the game itself gave plunge attacks for everyone
I think the plunging thing is also just coincidence that was influenced through the capture. A path part of the preformeses is jumping from pole to pole as well as very dramatically jumping off. So it makes sense that they would utilize plung atacks
genshin uploaded a behind the scenes video on youtube about gaming and there they mentioned that they started making his character back in 2021, so in the end no one copied no one and it's just a coincidence that they're so similar lol
On the character menu, there is a button on the bottom right corner that will start a gameplay tutorial that teaches the players how each character works and what's their combo.
I’m aware that some parts of Wuthering Waves differ from Genshin quite a bit. However, I hope that this game actually brings something to the table; that being competition. Hopefully, Wuthering Waves can indirectly “force” Genshin Impact to make some quality of life changes and improvements (AND better rewards) to the game. (the game itself looks really pretty, i’m praying for my storage) Edit: I probably should've used the word compel instead of force. What i meant is that Hoyo would see the game as competition (if it becomes a big hit, not ending up like TOF) and try to increase it's in game rewards. However, something in my gut feeling tells me that this would be highly unlikely. Both games are amazing and I want to see Wuthering Waves grow for sure :)
WuWa will "force" nothing. Cope harder. Casuals wont care about try hard game like WuWa, and Hardcore players is minority. I for one wont even touch this game
Brother I don't care what genshin does anymore the only positive thing about it's existence is we get more innovative games like this Literally an entire raging community and nothing was done
Just like to mention because Echoes are artifact/relics for this game farming the creatures doesn’t require resin/stamina so unlimited artifact/relic farming in WuWa which is amazing for replayabilty
They don't need resin but what about the echo respawn rate? I've seen someone post in reddit that you have to wait irl one day to wait for enemy respawn or you can go to co-op. Is that true or how long is enemy respawn? I only see people saying no stamina endless grind but no one talk about respawn rate of enemies
Lingyang was in the first CBT but with a different design and name, same idea though. Now before the 2nd CBT they remade him to look like this. it's before Genshin made gaming
So wait, you mean I can farm artifacts (echoes) without resin?? Count me in baby! Also the first limited char Jiyan looks amazing. Will probably get him and his weapon on launch.
I want to see a game that incorporates both elemental reactions and qte/ perfect evasion. I know there are many people that compares wuwa to genshin but I personally like to think of wuwa similar to apho from hi3.
i'm glad you mentioned ToF (Tower of Fantasy), from what i've seen so far from all the CBT2 review videos, the game to me looks like its more similar to ToF in terms of combat/gameplay/movement mechanics. The gacha is also more similar to ToF of it being 80pulls for the guaranteed 5-star (though we don't know if WW will implement a soft pity system similar to genshin where you actually get most of your 5-stars in the 75-80th pulls instead of actual 90 pulls), and some "constellations" or copies of the 5-stars being available in the shop.
Combat just similar to they own game, pgr, and sadly in pgr there is no such thing as soft pity, its always exactly how much it says, with small chance of getting it early(what never happened to me so fare)
I’m currently playing the beta on my iPad and finished the first 3 main story quests and did a bit of exploring. I say it was interesting, but not enough. The first issue is probably that story mode is the current dialogue in only in Chinese and not in English so I’m having trouble following the story. Second (and my main issue) is the storyline is cliche, like a world that is in an apocalypse with humans struggle against aliens (BoW, ToF, and maybe Genshin?) and the MC is either the outsider or the Hero of the world. The typical Outrider who tells the MC the information about the world and her work for the Midnight rangers. It seems that there’re not much about her or other characters (I maybe mistaken) For the game play, there are too many buttons and I kept using the dash button instead of the attack (again using the iPad) so i can tell it’s going to be hard for mobile players. It takes me a while to figure out how to solve the puzzles either because the tutorial is vague or I’m too dumb (example being the vine spikes). But the world I say looks beautiful and the music is good I went and exploring a lot of places and the character design is decently well, with the resonance on their bodies. These are the criticisms I have so far but I hope the gacha isn’t bad when the game releases and how much they’ll polish it.
Remember no matters which game does better Doesn't mean we can't enjoy both. I play PGR so it obvious that i would be hyped for WW but i still enjoy genshin nevertheless. Both game have pros and cons But if i have to be honest Kuro dev is just way more generous looking at you genshin with 3 fates for 3 years
im not the biggest fan of the character designs, theyre a bit one note to me, but the gameplay looks exciting and fast paced and i like the unique additions to the combat. will probably try it when it releases :)
@@pravum3150 i know :)), i just said what everyone else say, Tiger boy was as well introduced long before gAmInG but apparently Tiger boy is a copy -_-
When Wuthering Waves comes out I will definitely be hoping for JingYang. So far he’s my favorite male character. So if he’s my first five star when the game comes out I will not be mad.
Since the beginning fo the video I have been thinking about two games mainly, Genshin Impact, of course, and Punishing Gray Raven. And what do you know, Wuthering Wave is in fact developed by Kuro Games, the developers of PGR. I don't know much about Wuthering Waves yet, but what I do know is that Kuro Games know what they're doing, so I'm exicted for the release of Wuthering Waves. P.S. The gacha in PGR is fairly good compared to other gacha games, so if a genshin saint plays PGR or probably this game too I can guarantee them a pleasant experience.
lingyang looks extremely similar to gamings concept art ngl 😭 gaming also had white hair, ears, and a tail. i know this is a coincidence, but i still find it interesting.
i like his current design so idk if an animal wouldve made sense for him like i get Kirara and Yae are youkai so they get animal traits, so what if the old Gaming was a youkai that moved to liyue?
I play Genshin just to catch with the main story. The tons of so needed QoL features we still haven't gotten just kills the fun in game for me as a day 1 player.
As a genshin and pgr mobile player im really hyped for ww, always wanted something like genshin but not genshin, hsr was good for half a year, but bad story and autoplay 99% just didn't worked for me, hope ww not gonna succ in story and powercreep
it does get me thinking... did they allow you to actually post the video even thou the game is still in beta version? i mean genshin did alot of NDA's not so sure if Wuthering waves is lenient about it..
They didn't just allow you to post and make a content out of it, they glad and appreciate to cc for giving their thoughts about this game so that they can improve more
Ngl I wouldve switched games (from genshin to this) IF only this was purely fantasy What I dont want is they mix tech and magic. Genshin is pure fantasy, with little to no tech, and if there is tech, it has little to no impact to the overall gameplay experience, which is why I like genshin. Not just this but Ive dropped multiple games where they combine tech and magic, like honkai, ToF etc. I just dont understand what is the reason they try their hardest to combine oil and water: tech and magic
Exactly. It's dumb imo; that's a reason I like Genshin, I can just chill and look at the scenery. (Though I love Star Rail too). I'm not really one for playing these fast paced combat games. :/ But this is indeed a new game, there's new game hype. More than likely the hype will die down about 2/3 months after release as the new game hype for HSR died down a bit about 2/3 months after it was released.
It doesnt look like a genshin killer but i would say it is Genshin 2.0. The fact you can walk on wall, yield gun and catch wild animals as you artifacts is definitely going to win me over genshin. Not to mention there is endgame content. I just hope it doesnt have the super long dialogue (and annoying PAIMON) and cutscene that are not skippable in Genshin. I am not a story guy but more of action/combat oriented gamer. So look fwd to thus game. Pls launch the game early before the hype goes down.
Seems to be a combo of Genshin and Tower of Fantasy. Gacha more like Genshin, but world and combat seems more like Tower of Fantasy although I will say that looked like Dueling Peaks from Zelda at the beginning. I will give it a shot. I played Tower of Fantasy for six month or so before stopping. Hopefully this holds better.
I watched 2:52 mins of the video and can tell already: this game is way better than genshin in all the ways possible Edit: 3:49 - it keeps getting better (the fighting mechanics are sick) 4:50 - G U N 4:56 - Wall Run???? it doesn't stop 5:50 - Gacha System is crazy, 80 Pity with guaranteed limited after 50/50 loss, AND THE WEAPON GACHA HAS A ACTUAL GOOD 50/50 SYSTEM, item exchange is way better too, THEY JUST SELL CONSTELATIONS LIKE WTF????? And having a separate banner for non-limited characters and weapons is REALLY good. The Summon animation is, as well, better (B 0 0 B S) conclusion: I'm quitting genshin after the release of this game.
If the game is for the casuals then I might stay playing both genshin and this but if Ww is just too much of a hassle then I'll only try it for the experience.
Sure, IF they don't implement a predatory powercreep to make old characters weak every new banner to force people to spend on new ones, like Tower of Fantasy...
Genshin at that time was still more hype than ToF. Now it won't, because what would you expect from genshin updates? More boring ass events and stories with no skip button. I'm not coming back to genshin just for 'stories'.
For your information, Lin Yang came way before gaming. He is already announced a year before Gaming comes in genshin. In a way, genshin is the one who copied gaming. They just released him first.
I do feel like not enough people are talking about the deliberate way in which this game "copies" systems from Genshin. It'll help capture the market more by making a couple of systems more accessible if players come from Genshin which is definitely a good thing when this game has a lot more systems involved when it comes to combat (at least on the surface because Genshin also has deeper mechanical systems like ICD and Gauge theory)
Why the hell would we care if its a copy or not? A good game is a good game lmao, it actually kinda looks like HI3 and TOF's love child but idc, when it's out I'll be playing all the anime rpg games at the same time- which is probably not healthy but its my life and you can't judge me
Didn’t realize I trust this guy to be so real that I let him make my opinion lmfao the thing is he never misses fr. He’s got that honestly that I can always look forward to. I never played any gacha besides genshin cuz I didn’t kno gacha was this annoying but, hell, if moga can speak good on it, I can at least check it out.
@yomoheiliv6375 I know Tower of Fantasy, which we all know died like 5 days after release. Unless wuwa creates a story that would put Shakespeare into a coma, and their artifact system blows up: they have no chance
Nah bro you are underestimating Kuro Games, they are more inclined into combat and having them create an open world means they have a lot to offer, its literally the same thing they did for PGR players as far as i can see its actually more inclined to casual player by how easy it looks compared to PGR but Kuro games has already built its fanbase and by the looks of it the developers actually care for their players lmao.
@yomoheiliv6375 I have played it actually, thank you. It was mid and I don't care for it, I can barely remember the story because it's so unremarkable, none of the characters stuck out. It's just so...I remember taht I played it but if I don't remember 1 good thing about it then wtf
