Nah. Genshin ain't dying anytime soon. It's still massive in CN. And even if there are revenue loss, it will not be enough for the game to be considered as dying. Only Genshin can kill Genshin.
The interesting part about that chart is that it only includes Mobile-sales, which is definitely a weakspot for WuWa right now due to optimization-issues. Also, WuWa's combat is pretty fast-paced and is generally something you can play more comfortable on a desktop-device rather than a mobile-phone (also, it runs way smoother on desktop), so we can reasonably assume that the numbers for desktop is way higher than just double the amount of revenue. Either way, it would also explain why CN right now is rather dissatisfied with WuWa on mobile-phone because the majority of them plays on their mobile-devices.
This is rather odd, I've heard that ww has better optimization for mobile than for desktop atm, someone mentioned a 10yo Ipad was able to run it pretty smooth. But I can't confirm this since I only play the desktop version.
Chinese players are telling other players to use PC and not mobile so they also have a lot to do with it plus some of Yinlin's revenue and Jinhsi banner was nit counted
@@EtherealRune huh?? I'm missing the point here? How does a 10yo Ipad being able run ww rather smoothly implied I'm forgetting about CN not changing their every year??
@@haku9364 Because I don't think that it was actually true, at least not without knowing the details of it. You say "rather smoothly"; that already may be a deal-breaker for a culture that mainly plays on phones, you know what I mean? It's the subjective opinion of seemingly one person. Either way, the general consensus is that mobile-phones do seem to have trouble with running WuWa, while desktop definitely has no issues if you don't run a toaster (and even then WuWa improved over the past 5 days).
is genshin dying ? No,.. but genshin definitely suffers from the fact that for miHoYo it's a monopoly gacha game. With genshin's earnings every month, this game could be much bigger, but for miHoYo it's just a cash grap with almost zero investment. But the market situation is changing and I think that if miHoYo doesn't plan to invest more money in genshin they will lose more than 50% of their current earnings in 1-2 years
The hard truth. People don't realize that the gacha market's extremely competitive and always adapting and with all the big gacha games coming out, now's even more reason for them to pull themselves together. Wuwa's just the beginning. There's way more big games coming out If they don't do anything big soon, especially with Natlan, their numbers will keep going down. Genshin right now needs some BIG QOLs more than anything else, even more than free pulls. Thankfully, the resin increase right before the Wuwa release shows they're waking up but they'll need to do bigger and better QOLs for fans to stick around I'll still stick with Genshin despite it's flaws because it's still a good game for what it is and has been with me through tough times and I'll stick with Wuwa too once it comes to consoles cuz it's a great game but Genshin could just be much better, which will force Wuwa to be better too Competition breeds success. These companies earn big money and we consumers get 2 free great games to play
The only dead things I see are the brain of those who're saying Genshin is dead while they're adding new things lately and Natlan, probably the most hyped region with the most hyped characters like Capitano and Murata being around the corner. Genshin's revenue is bound to spike up again. The current total revenue chart also says otherwise too with just Clorinde whose hype had fallen downhill through 4.x and yet still managed to beat a hyped S-tier char like Yinlin showing how big of a game it is now. It's like you can make a better friend chicken recipe than KFC and managed to get pretty good success and sales but many will still eat at KFC for how big of a chain it is today.
I really don't want to be the bearer of bad news but from what I've heard the current revenue chart is quite innacurate due to it getting frozen for a certain amount of time(like weeks).
I dont think that's bad news, cos it froze for all the games.. considering Wuthering Waves released its second character YinLin on June 6th, meaning Wuthering Waves should have a bigger revenue that what's posted on this chart
It would be best to objectively just disregard June's revenue as a many already claimed that Sensor Tower bugged/glitched out, some are even saying android sales were not counted for WuWa and more, such inaccuracies in such a timing makes the chart really sus. But the problem is depsite the said issues, hard core Genshin fans would hold this chart canon for two reasons, Firefly did not broke Acheron's record and Genshin got hard carried by CN. Lucky for them since I think early this year monthly sensor tower charts are already consistently including CN revenue. Just last year revenue charts didn't include CN afaik. So just imagine if this chart did not show CN, hardcore genshills would be on life support seeing WuWa earn more even if by just 1M than Genshin.
@@arghahimel816 I know that, it's obvious when you play the game you know whaling is cheaper. I understand your point. But successful or not I ain't taking this month's report seriously as unfortunately inaccuracies exist
@@Eichan031 true he might be copy pasting his comments but it doesn't take away the fact that it is way much cheaper to whale on WuWa because of the points he said. Because of that Genshin by default should always earn more than WuWa
Just the thumbnail summoned the Gacha Players all around the world ready to shit each other with weapons of mass insulting in the comments. Gacha Toxicity never disappoints whatever side you're on 😂
Playing a game and not liking it is one thing, but attacking it cause "my game is more superior" is stupid, I like them both as well and get tired of seeing people comparing it everywhere
What has happened with Genshin is the following. People went to Wuthering Waves to try out the video game. When they returned to Genshin, not only did they feel depressed, but they also realized that their video game is becoming obsolete. They first felt that Genshin is an extremely slow game compared to WUWA. WUWA's scrolling and fighting convinced Genshin fans and they don't want to go back to Genshin.
i play both games bc to me there is more to a game than combat. while i prefer wuwas combat, i still prefer genshins open world (the new wuwa region in 1.1 is pretty tho but the 1.0 map was not able to convince me at all), characters and story. so i play both for different reasons. the perfect open world gacha game that makes me drop everything else has yet to be released (for me) lol
The one thing that kuro need to fix is need more reward on tacet whatever it is and also change the stamina needed from 60 to 40 or 30. Hopium with lots of copium.
they way you say things are off. they did not LOSE money, they did not earn enough, probably because of events or character release on that time frame. example, nikke characters releases are not good right now (not pilgrim, hot or skills are bad) thats why they did not reach the same revenue like last time. but once a good character is released, people will spent more money again. same goes for other GACHA, thats how gacha works, release a hot, good, limited character people will spend crazy for it.
@@pontoancora Well if we're talking release month, wuwa released in the middle of the month so probably it wouldn't be that good. But everything will come down to whether or not it can keep up in quality
Well Wuwa destroyed, annihilated, obliterated, and absoluted Genshin for me. I'm not a masochist, I need me lots of Kuro Love! As expected of Mobile revenue, W to the green ones
Yeah like eversoul for example. The game pretty generous, good beautiful art style and the fact it's Korean game so it won't get cencored by ccp, story is quite good, and although the gameplay is basically idle combat, it's kinda satisfying building your teams. Now I'm waiting for uma musume.
actually jinhsis banner is doing better in terms of stability than yinlins banner which i didnt expect so i wouldnt say its dying. it placed 10th instead of 8th on day 1 but it got better day 4th performance somehow
been playing genshin impact since 2020 ( the only i hate is paimon) everytime she talk ( i'll mute the speaker volume) seriously i can't enjoys whole story ( cause paimon talk alot )
