Alright, kuro might have had an advertising problem with PGR, but that doesn't mean they dont release trailers or teasers for the updates, for example, Liv empyrea animation, Alpha animation and Qu animation and just today they release a teaser for who is gonna get a new frame in PGR (CN) although the long animations are only for the anniversaries
Reason why they move the patch a week early and kinda move Yinlins banner up was because Hoyo announced ZZZ the same day when WuWa gets their patch released. So kinda a smart business decision and they did say once the patch is done, they will return to their original schedule, unless another thing like this occurs
Well Hoyo just announced they are going to do a live stream of ZZZ the same day Kuro announced their 1.1 version live stream and it's definitely not scheduled with hoyo because no one knew when hoyo was going to release their livestream only the release date of ZZZ
I don't think anyone was worried. After all Yinlin was moved forward because the devs had nothing to do in the upcoming week. So Kuro was probably rushed into it. You are being such a worry wort jeez calm down.
I do mention that in the video. I worry a lot when it comes to the future of Wuthering Waves, but the entire point of this video was to say that my worrying is fading with good things like this happening, which i also say later on in the video :))
Gacha games always inflate pre reg numbers. There is no way to know reliably how many actually signed up…..I do think advertising is gonna be an issue when Hoyo is going to continuously maintain and build hype for their new patches with livestreams for their three biggest games every two weeks.
@@jo0rd73 even if you inflate it a bit you cant do too much like tens of millions. thats too much false advertisement where it probably would be a legal issue. also as a potential genshin alternative you would have tens of millions of people wanting it. because hoyo doesnt care about players or the game until there is competition. but kuro does care about putting out a good game and care about the players. so its no wonder why people would pre reg. plus its free to pre reg and the game is f2p so people pre reg for games just for the better rewards. plus the game is about to make $130 - 140 million in 1 month of the game going live. 30 million pre reg makes sense. its prob close to it if there is any inflation at all
@@s0hlless I have no idea about legal issues especially since China works quite differently to what we are used to but you made a whole lot of assumptions there. Also from what I’ve heard through the grapevine it’s generous to even call the number you have a revenue estimate. I expect them to decently well but with such a rough launch I really don’t think Yinlins banner is gonna do as well as you think but I’d be happy to be wrong tbh because they need it to get it all back on track.
@@jo0rd73 i mean everyone is reporting the exact same thing about the revenue. so i didnt just pick $130 - 140 million out of thin air. and outside of china laws to not screw people over actually exist.
I don't know about hoyoverse and their advertising but kuro games tend to advertise the new patch between 1 week to 5 days before the release of new patch so it's nothing new to them. Also I'm not surprise if they don't do a livestream as PGR only do livestreams on anniversaries and WuWa may also follows that. If they do it, it maybe 5 days or before the hour the patch goes live do they livestream.
@@riasapta4109 i dont think any of Hoyo's actual dev or the one who have the main say in either GI or HSR ever do stream for some random non-anni patch. Its either their PR or just a news announcer actor. So i also dont expect Kuro to do stream for every single patch for non-anni let alone having like the lead devs do it everysingle time. I do expect stream on every 0.5 and full anni though, their PGR dev stream every anni are usually pretty hype
Yes. Getting teased about a character and then eagerly waiting for them to be released is part of the whole process. It also gives you incentive to save, maybe get a monthly pass before to get more pulls etc. (Btw having HSR music while listening WuWa news makes my brain little dizzy 😂)
I think they messed up there timing & had to release yin lin early to get the jump on chloran from genshin, it mite have released at the same time & had to emergency drop it, i could be wrong im just guessing.
Do you think drip marketing is good ? It affects the sales of next banner but in return it gives players something to look forward to that means higher player retention.
Drip Marketing is Great, it allows WuWa to tease new characters which keeps players engaged for longer. And also its nice that they can get ahead of the leakers sometimes!
I think the main difference between pgr and wuwa is where they started. Pgr, especially in the global market, didnt advertise to an acceptable level, which means the game had the trouble to spread their name during its release. Wuwa on the other hand did advertisiment before the release and was able to garner an audience much more than what pgr did. As a result, wuwa has less of the trouble to spread their name post launch. Post launch, wuwa will have an easier time to stay relevant. Now this doesnt mean to stop advertising and marketing (they are still doing this but at a lower level now). They need to worry about player retention and hype at the right time. Most gacha games dont do per patch livestreams, i think only hoyo does that.
My worry is if the game is not going get endgame contact. If no then banner that have no meaning to makes game batter if there no endgame contact then it's no use for the character banner. Also game still news just wait and patient but I can see dev slow make endgame content because I fight challenge boss that are lvl 120 that have different fighting style and abilities.
There was no mistranslation in the dev notes. People just assumed they meant tacet fields when they said increase in echo dev masterial yield. Vague sure but it wasn't a mistranslation
