had a rough start but the devs patched it up quite fast compared to genshin devs, took them 2.5 years, and for that I give it an 8.5 for now.

8/10 >SKins +1 >120 rolls for guaranteed 5* rate up +1 If they had those in the future then yeah its' going to be 10/10

9/10 Only issues are the voice overs in the beginning. But I love the echo systems the world building, the characters. I haven't been this excited to pull characters since Dragalia Lost (and Ash in PokéMas). It would be nice if we have a sort of art card feature or a way to watch previous cutscenes. But other than that I'm greatly enjoying the game for the long haul.

WuWa is both more generous AND better quality. Crazy. Not mentioning respecting players and listening to their feedback. Well, it just shows how some people lost their self respect and allowed Hoyo to be treated like sh...

And the crazier fact is that i already have 5 5 star characters, who are very good, in just 2 patches. The only other game where i would experience this pgr ngl

​@@Stixxyconsidering they came from only PGR, which only makes about 200k per month (which is still successful) and not like HSR that got released at the peak of Hoyoverse's popularity with Genshin, they did a pretty good job and I think it all came down to them actually listening to every criticism thrown at them and making the game better. A good example is them reaching out to a professional animator(Professor Goo) to specifically rate the animations without any sugar coating or asking for promotions, the vid is out and the man made some very fair points on the combat animations, I wouldn't be even surprised if they decide to update it based on his recommendations

I don't know about marketing; Kuro's marketing is f-tier its both a good thing and a bad thing. But otherwise word of mouth and player-dev relation is top tier and is more than enough to cover their marketing

Wuwa is super cheap compared to Genshin, the characters take 20 less pulls, you can buy limited character constellations with corals from coral shop, there's targeted weapon banner, and the weapon banner is HUGE. genshin takes 1000-1200 pulls for a R5 weapon while wuwa takes only 400 pulls at most. So whales can't really spend much because everything is so cheap and they get it too easily. On the other hand, genshin's scam banner is alone enough to make 2x more money than wuwa. Also in mobile port the optimization is terrible, despite that many people played and spent money on that. Considering all that, wuwa did pretty good.

Genshin got sucess becz it launched before these amazing game if genahin launched in todays date it make super less than these game. The reason of its lame and boring gameplay compared to wuwa and other. Genshin was lucky to lunched in before these games😂😂😂 otherwise genshin is done

​@@megatbasyarullah4859yeah Kuros top tier skin design will hopefully help make up for any revenue they lose do to the generosity of their gacha system (compared to games like Genshin that use scam banners like GIs weapon banner to extract more money from stupid people). I've never touched Genshins weapon banner but I already have 2 of the first 3 limited weapons in WuWa. I love how mint pickers will use Genshins revenue to show how great the game is when all it shows is how much Genshin scams its own playerbase out of money. They don't understand that even if Genshin makes 2x the amount of money as WuWa, it still doesn't mean Genshins twice as popular but instead that it takes 2x the money to get the same stuff in Genshin as WuWa. It's like when people make fun of PGR for making $500k or so a month when the reason it's low is because Kuro has designed its gacha system so an active f2p player can farm enough currency to get every new unit. So ofc a gacha game that gives away every new unit won't make as much as the more predatory games that only allow f2p to get every other new unit (and that's if they win every 50/50). In PGR I have every unit, their signature weapon and all the CUBs (battle companions/pets) and I only pay for the daily currency pass and the 2 tiers of the BP. So basically only like $25 a month, oh and most of my units are at least SS tier, think constellation 1 or 2 on Genshin, because you can farm up currency for a dupe from the weekly events again for FREE. For these reasons whenever Kuro releases a game ill support it. They're track record is superb and as a lot of people have finally seen they actually listen to their playerbase and care about making the games they create the best ones possible imo

It's also a game that doesn't rely on good ping much. In Genshin long ping means it takes longer to swap characters and you lose time waiting for enemies to spawn in timed challenges.

Honestly, 40 ping is actually very good. 60 is slightly less good than that, 120 is medium.

While for me wuwa is best gacha game because It's so cheap to buy limited character and weapon. R5 character Isn't really that costly as other gacha game like genshin. It‘s so cheap that I Don't mind throwing some money at them.

Neither of the players numbers have been released publicly so a source would be appreciated I heard about the Genshin 60 mill but that was a year+ ago.

Lol 60mil is not amount of players. It's the number of accounts that showed sign of life ONCE in a month. So how many of these are secondary, or even third accs of the same player? How many of these are players, who log in to do main quests and then drop it till next patch? Genshin does have big playerbase, but not as much as hoyo wants us to believe

@@saiavabel6076 PC would make way more than mobile for Wuwa, coz the ratio of players on PC and mobile for Wuwa, GI or HSR are very different.

Tbh, I spend my money to WuWa with PC too. It easier and comfortable to play WuWa in PC than mobile because this is fast action-combat with actual skill.

This is a rather dumb speculation. No one was forced to play Genshin. And if you think about it throughly, many people lost their jobs, food and medicine becomes more expensive during pandemic. It's just stupid and naive to think people will spend more on games during the pandemic.

Although not all of the people surely had financial stability during the pandemic, there will still be people with excess free time and disposable income. The pandemic definitely did have an impact on the success of the game, at least that's what I think, coming from someone who was really addicted to it back when there was pretty much nothing to do during the pandemic aside from being holed up in your room.

I don't think making the extra buck at the cost of your reputation is worth it. However, it is worth it in Hoyo's minds for some absurd reason, even though when you compare their recently released roster with new competition like WuWa, it becomes painfully obvious that Genshin Devs have been slacking off. When I first checked out HI3 after becoming a Genshin fan in 2021, I was fully convinced that we'll eventually get units with animations like HI3 by Fontaine or something. Alas, they squandered their game potential badly because people buy their crap despite them doing the bare minimum.

True, I've been "suffering" from wanting to spend on the game to support but not having a good place to spend it on. This may end up being a month in which I spend almost nothing on gatcha... since HSR new story telling ways got me pretty much out of the game except for login.

If I were a Gacha dev, if I can improve community relations by choosing to make half of what Genshin makes, I will gladly do that. Making obscene amount of monies at the cost of community relations is never the right path to take. You'll be extremely successful in the short term but in the long term, your reputation will be ruined forever.

there is no way of accurately tracking pc revenue. only phone sales can be tracked hence why sensory tower focuses on that because they have relatively accurate information (not this month mind you)

The optimization is there but it's super inconsistent for some reason. The minimum requirement specs actually run it in 60 fps on max settings. I have Huawei Matepad 11 (2021) with Snapdragon 865 and it runs perfectly (the battery drain and heat are pretty bad tho) . How a second gen can't run it is beyond me but, yeah, people complain about it all the time.

Maybe unreal engine is more demanding idk

Same HSR is my go-to comfort game during my break time at work and once reaching home I have enough time to play Wuwa.
