For those who think Wuthering Waves doesn't have fall damage, it has. But it's stated in the lore that the planet's gravity is abnormal due to the events that happened in the past.
Note: in WuWa if you're stamina got depleted while climbing you can cling to the wall to make the character break the fall speed by their hands and feet
The feel wasn't the same anymore. Before wuwa, playing genshin was an happy hour, now its just to collect primogem and get out. Natlan better has something to make a comeback.

Breath of the wild was already rather innovative with traversal but also evolved it with tech like airdrafts via burning grass, stasis objects to hit to build momentum and other fancy tricks people could pull. GenshiTE didn’t really bother to ‘evolve’ traversal, just slap gimmicks on characters and not something actual like gadgets or put some fixed location poppers with the thunder mirrors, ‘vines’ and ‘swimming zones’ and will basically be doubling down with Nathan creatures which not only reuse the grapple and swimming for two of them, I bet the burrow’er will have extremely restricted locales to dig under. Once the honey moon phase of shiny’ness is over, it’s no wonder the faults are at such full display, they don’t feel like actual features, simply ‘supposedly implied shortcuts’, when the map was likely made purposely too large to justify it. Stuff like this rings especially true when you go back to earlier locations in genshite or get areas massively devoid of the gimmick of the region itself. This is why it’s fun in wuthering waves to use any party you want and have effectively close to, if not the same traversal tech as eachother, since outside of echo air dash looping, Wuwa gives all the tools freely out from air dodges, grapple hooks and so on, regardless of location. This is ultimately why I keep seeing kurogames will cook additional tech in. Such as 1.1 having a snowboard mini game just like the ‘sliding down slope’ sections that 1.0 had, gives the idea we will get a snowboard gadget todo sliding down slopes anywhere we want, which may even allow physics like building momentum for a high flying launch into the air for a perfect glide transition. Sure, it prob won’t happen, but with what Wuwa has provided so far, it’s far more likely they will add it, then genshiTE ever providing ‘good content’, ingame that is not locked behind expensive gacha or simply a marketing ploy. Sort of like that stupid damn TCG, which clearly was more to push merchandise and pad out easy to implement content, then actually be of any value to the actual game itself. Aka, you know a game is ruining itself, if it insists to ignore its main gameplay loop as much as possible, to constantly shove in low budget ‘mini games’, that completely ignore the core gameplay aspect itself.
Note that in order to get somewhere near Wuthering Waves' exploration QoL, you'll need Kazuha (double jump), Xiao (air dash), Keqing/Alhaitham/Venti/Wanderer/Xianyun (boosted jump), Ayaka/Mona/Yelan/Arlecchino (enhanced sprint), Zhongli (miner) and Nahida (collector). That's approximately about 90 x 6 wishes if you win 50:50, meanwhile you only need Jiyan (80 tides, assuming you win 50:50) and some Echoes to do everything. Edit: Actually I forgot that you don't even need Jiyan since air dash can be performed using Cyan Heron.
Funny how a game about exploring the world and chilling/getting immersed in the world made climbing feel slow so you just want to immediately close the game whenever the daily/mission tell you to climb the mountain I'm looking at you Desert Sumeru commission
fr. I'm so tired about commissions didn't close to a teleport. like all I want is just finish GI as quick as possible so I can spend more time for other works, games. sometimes I just force myself not to do that slow ass shit work
They probably just WANT you to play the game slower so you get to see most of the world without zoooming through areas too much. But i do want a faster climbing mechanic.

No wonder I left Genshin after many years of playing it. After tasting Wuwa, it is a pain to play Genshin. Also Genshin's character design is something I always hated, it is just too childish (there are a few exceptions though, like Yelan and Zhongli).
Besides that, for me, it's the same attack animations over and over again. After playing WW, I just understand something about genshin. And it proved what I'd been worrying about a long time ago.
Wuwa is exactly what I was looking for: the combat style of PGR/HI3 a fun way to explore the map, a post apocalyptic world as opposed to straight up fantasy and some cool and badass characters. Genshins art style never appealed to me. I only like one character in the entire game and that's Beidou everyone else just doesn't look as badass or appealing to me.
New Genshin character designs are 1000x better than the old ones. Just look at Neuvillete vs Diluc's hair for example. Its a night and day difference. even Navia and Arlechinno has such detailed hair style.
Running up on the wall is like some thing that Naruto anime or ninja thing would do. In Genshin Impact pretty much forcing you to get character to fix some problem in traveling in over world. Well I not going to name every character that good for over world for travelling.
The crazy thing is their are so many ways to do travel Wuwa, from the cool triple jump to the heaven defying 9 jumps with echos and I believe we will get more traversal echos down the line wherein in genshin you need characters to even remotely travel well xD
The best detail is that at the foot of each characters in wuwa, they have yellow light which is why they're able to run in wall. just like naruto's chakra infused footsteps.

it basically come down to different style of exploration and combat, nothing is objectively better. Just like how both elden ring and DMC are popular, but are you sure DMC is objectively better because it has high-octane movement and hack n slash combat style?
I was gonna say it's the same with Mario and sonic. Both are platformers but while sonic is all about speed, Mario is all about jumping. Even if they overlap they are still different games using different mechanics. One isn't objectively better or worse because they it different

The level of upper body strength wuwa characters need to pull their entire body upwards and flip onto the next platform is insane and to think even the children can do it like encore, Verina etc lol

I played Wuwa the day it came out and when I got back to genshin I went to 90 pity for Alhaithem, lost the 50/50 to Mona and then went to 90 pity again 😭😭

On ToF at Map D9. Just equip the relic to climb everywhere even the highest mountains. But haters just remember about old bugs and want everything free like communists. At here we are diversity in ways of moving, many means of transportation, group dances, costumes appropriate to the era instead of ancient costumes. We can also dress up as, boss, animals to commemorated by screenshot.
genshin is so trash compared to wuwa. Besides parkour everything just feels better. It's just better genshin with upgraded things ppl complained about in genshin. Also i like it more cause it's not so sugar cone, fairy tale theme for kids lol
I felt the same when I played ToF lol, the exploration in Genshin is so old-fashioned. Anyways I dropped both WuWa and ToF because of the bad optimization, otherwise I'd be playing them at least from time to time.

It was a shame wuwa didn't have a great launched. I didn't experiencing any massive issues, only small stuttering and some bad textures but they've fixed it already and other minor issues, but I feel bad for people who really want to play but cannot because of the poor optimization. I think it should be fine now, or maybe wait for the next patch, they promised to bring a lot of mprovements in 1.1

also in the running example, you and i BOTH know sayu is super fast with her skill. genshin character skills offer more mobility than wuwa's base system will. Not saying genshin is outright better just that you're heavily biased
Well, for actual climbing, Genshin nowadays just lets you pseudo teleport on top of a mountain using the regional propulsers. Wuwa's grapple mechanics is literally just a downgrade of that, in fact. But Genshin unfortunately can't revert the actual climbing mechanics because a lot of the old Mondstadt/Liyue puzzles relied on movement being limited.
@@fire_g He meant that Genshin has an exploration gimmick like turning you into water bubble and flying through areas or turning you into a fish and flying over mountain in Chenyu Vale. The easy exploration stuff are there. Its just not everywhere at once.
Genshin, you need to be in the right place, at the right time to be able to do something specific. A regional map gimmick. What if you don't have that nearby when trying to reach the top of the mountain? Just wait for the right gimmick to teleport you or slowly climbing Wuwa, grapple, air dash, echo movement; you can do it anytime and anywhere. More freedom of movement
@@tsukiri_masho Well, that's the point, it's meant to be situational puzzles because exploration in Genshin is a mini game in itself. And they will never give that up. But since Inazuma, there's always an easy way up the mountains, you just have to look and remember. In chenyu vales you can literally go anywhere you want in a split second as long as you have a functionning brain. In Wuwa, however, exploration is meant to be casual. You just run and occasionally use the grapple, it doesn't require much brain processing power. It's actually a more casual friendly version of Sekiro's movement mechanics even. And it's done this way because they want you to focus on combat and make exploration an accessory.

IMO Parkour goes to Wuwa (because a lot of qol tools, and their world scaling is huge) Walking, relaxing goes to genshin (because of smooth walking animation, fantasy world and music)
These days when I open genshin all I feel is headache instead of relaxation. The world feels so bloated and there's too much to do in it with really no incentive to do it. I stopped doing the character story quests and hangouts too because the rewards are shit and moving around the map for those 69 thousand oculus just feels like a chore now.
@@RexyDaGreat if you feel like its a burden for you to play, that mean its a sign for you to back out and go find sth else. If you only care about the reward, then genshin might not be the one. As a day1 genshin player, I still enjoyed the archon-story quests and how they make the world so beautifully. I invested too much on the lore and the character so I still continue to support them. Knowing how every patch they continue improving little by little for their in game qol is enough for me :)

wuthering waves and genshin cannot be compared first of all where is the damn laser string hooking at in the air? second both are good in their own ways one is way too modern and futuristic with all the gadgets while the other tries to to resemble more of the real world people concepts and similarities. and Genshin lore is amazing
