Excellent information. I have a WW1 2nd class Iron Cross with a bit of rust in the center and not sure if some kind of cleaner (I was considering Haggerty's) would do more harm than good. Would love any advice! Cheers

Hi, Welcome aboard. We would advise most people to leave items as they are as they are only original once. However, you may be able to reduce the rust by using WD40 oil (lightly) and a soft toothbrush or fibre cloth (the green ones that are used for cleaning dishes that are too soft to cause any damage to your Iron Cross or the remaining paint).
