Hard to believe every one of the men from Easy Company are all gone now. With people like yourself carrying the mantle for every soldier from WWII on your shoulders from now on. So glad to see the people of Europe turning out to watch a re enactment of war on such a cold bitter day. Back then they had nowhere to run or hide, from the he’ll they seen open before their very eyes! May we never forget the sacrifice everyone made including resistance and civilians in towns and villages all over Europe who gave so much for so little recognition at wars end. Just all doing what was right at a great cost of harm to their loved ones if caught. Thank you gents for a video diary of the battle. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

You boys did some nice filming. I also asked a German soldier where he slept and he said: in this tent. I expected a good Nomad sleeping bag but no, everything was vintage and repro in the tent. My neighbour is 95 and he told me that in winter 44/45 the snow was 20cm high and it was minus 20 outside. I live near St. Vith, Belgium but i am Dutch. He told it to me as if he was still 18. He witnessed in his village Setz, Belgium, that the Germans blew up a tiny bridge, drunk some coffee is his house and that same Ammies came silently to the house. They asked the outside talking 2 men ( my now neighbour and his father) silently if thee are Germans inside. Yes. The Ammies surrounded the house and shouted to the Germans to come out. The lieutenant wanted to fight but the teenage soldiers convinced his officer to surrender. So, the 3 soldiers surrendered. I saw myself in this video.

I am in awe of this, it’s all just so cool. I’ve been a World War 2 History Buff since I was super young, and I’d love to participate in something like this. I’d love to have a collection even half as expansive as you guys have. Unfortunately, I don’t have very many things from the war. Big props to all of you for keeping history alive and well.

You know what would be really cool, if you made a part 4 and it was a nighttime trench video representing the aftermath of the battle and then you are an American/German "waiting" for an enemy attack in the night while also shooting some scenes of a nighttime "battle" in the trench which you could just act like your shooting your rifle/MG and edit it for the sound effect and shooting effect
@audiemurphy1925
@audiemurphy1925 Год назад
There are blank rounds for a reason you know that right
@HornetCinematics
@HornetCinematics Год назад
@@audiemurphy1925 In my opinion (not saying your wrong) I think a blank firing adapter makes a rifle look ugly- not to mention the price of blanks. They cost enough you don’t want to just be firing them off for fun, and a blank can be lethal to 20 yards from the rifle due to (very occasionally) little fragments coming out at supersonic speed and the pressure as well. Besides, from the looks of how small his garden is if the neighbors hear all that they might, well- ya know. So yes, I think if he used blanks it would be cool, I just don’t think it would be practical. I’m not trying to start any arguments I’m just saying that blanks would be cool I just think they would be impractical
@HornetCinematics
@HornetCinematics Год назад
And I don’t think all of his neighbors want to be waking up at night to hear him wasting tons of blanks
@HornetCinematics

@@audiemurphy1925 I am very aware of the use of blank rounds as I have used them a lot myself

I love anything to do with the war in Europe. My dad landed on Sword beach with the royal artillery, (British) fought for Caen, the battle of Normandy, then up to Nijmegen bridge, from there to the bulge northern shoulder, then across into Germany, down through Germany and was at the liberation of Belsen concentration camp, then at wars end he guarded the river Elbe to make sure the Russians didn’t cross, as they were running riot and committing atrocities. He then stayed in for a year as a peacekeeper in Germany. He was an amazing man. I have never known another man to have no fear of any man. Cool as a cucumber. I guess after the war in Europe it must change a persons perspective. He was a great father of 7. We lost him on New Year’s Day 2013. Sadly missed. 🇬🇧👍
