Never seen before images of Liverpool taken during the WW2 blitz, have been uncovered by Merseyside Police.
The negatives, found in a dusty envelope at Merseyside Police Headquarters, were taken as a record of bomb damage by the then Liverpool City Police.
Taken between 29th August 1940 and the 5th May 1941, they show how air raids destroyed sections of the city centre, the docklands and the south of the city.
There are over 100 images, which have now been digitised, and a selection of them will be made public via the force twitter feed.
If you can help to identify any of the locations, respond to our tweets @merseypolice #merseyblitz
