can British out view Germany ? 🤔 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eub93nHvn8Q.html or Soviet union ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KWaF9hLFdmQ.html
The first "tank destoryer" that looks like an M10 is actually "Achilles", not "Archer", similar to Sherman Firefly, the American M10's 76mm gun was interchanged with British 17-pdr gun (I mean look at the main armament description in the video), and is named "Achilles". It is one of the less well known adaption done by British tank design. And for the "Archer" namesake, it refers to the adaptation of Valentine infantry tank being armed with the aforementioned 17-pdr. I mean search the Archer tank destroyer (if you're curious) and compare with the picture and you will be surprised. This is not to put a dagger to the content developer, but it helps to remind the authenticity of historical accuracy is paramount and should not be understated.
@@southamptontrainspotter553The archer does not look like the fucking Achilles, the archer's gun is backwards and does not have a turret, unlike the Achilles, the archer's engine is at the front and you need to turn the entire vehicle to shoot the enemy at your front
At 3:44 that's not archer, but Achilles, while the Archer is missing completely Also, Pershing tank is missing Also Sherman firefly isn't tank destroyer, but rather a medium tank
@@kingappollyon "Mostly" because Americans never gave M4A3s (also E8s) to anyone, what they usually lent was M4A2s, not even M4s and M4A1s (because they put the 76mm gun on them and wet ammo stowage)
This video was interesting, however the director is confused about TDs, labelling the Achilles as "Archer" and not showing the Archer at all. The Firefly was an upgunned Medium, not a TD.
The archer is an achilles, the archer was backwards, had the gun mounted above the engine, so it could reverse into position then drive away quickly when spotted.
AmazingViz is not really military fan by the way. Appreciate his work but he always made mistakes on the stats. Hope he'll come up with modern tanks comparison next.
ehhhhhhh both are O, it was known as the Lee in USA, and Grant in UK, also, the Acher wasn't a M10 Wolf, it was an arse backwards tank, meaning it was driving with the arse towards the action, XD
The Grant and the Lee are two slightly different tanks. The difference is in the turret and the placement of the radio, with the Lee having the radio in the hull and the Grant having the Radio in the Turret, allowing the 37mm loader double up as the radio operator, giving the Grant a crew of 6, instead of the Lee's crew of 7. The Grant was almost exclusively used by the British, while the Lees were used by the Americans and some were sent to Russia. The tank depicted in the video is a Lee, but the crew of 6 that is stated in the video is correct for the Grant
Video: Here are British and the Allies tank comparsion in 3D! Me who expected the AC1 and AC3 in the cruiser tank part: My disappointed is immeasurable and my day ruined
The Archer was on the Valentine Chassis, the “Archer” you’re 3D render shows is the Achilles, based off the M10 Wolverine. But with a 17pdr gun. A much better gun by comparison.
You do know the Sherman was in service from 1942, it's first action was the Kassarine Pass in North Africa. Churchills almost all have hull mounted weapons (Where is Crocodile?) The T14 was NEVER deployed or mass produced, it was a prototype only. The Challenger is technically a tank destroyer just like the Achilles and Wolverine.
Tank destroyers: Archer **shows pic of an M10* Where is the M18? Where is the Jackson? Where is the Tortoise? And where is the T95?! And the Firefly is not a tank desoroyer! Is a medim with a 17 pounder. If the criteria for TDs is big guns, why is the Challenger a cruiser tank? Has a 17 pounder. Is on a medium chasis
@Commander Biswas yes ik, wot is kinda bs. But the Challenger is designated as a cruiser tank with an AT gun and the Firefly is a MEDIUM tank, not a tank destroyer!
@@astrorick2910 According to Sherman class tanks Firefly is armed with 17 pounder anti tank, due to that it has long range attack when compared to other Sherman classes, usually tank destroyers got long range attack. www.militaryfactory.com/armor/detail.asp?armor_id=248 please refer this.
Stingy's Hairline there were actually different variants of the Sherman firefly, one version was a medium tank and the other a Tank destroyer and another variant
The M4 Sherman became the Sherman Ic The M4 composite Sherman became the Sherman Ic Hybid And the M4A4 Sherman became the Sherman vc All of these variants were the Sherman firefly
I went to the tank museum at bovington and saw the oldest Sherman surviving Sherman tank and comparing the different aspects compared to the newer versions was quite fun
@@helenward4342 it’s was sent to England from America as a sample piece and it is apparently the oldest Sherman surviving it also has a nickname( Michael)
How can you fuck up on the Archer.. the thing you showed is legit an M10 wolverine.. And the Firefly IS NOT a Tank Destroyer, it's a Medium Tank.. And you forgot the M4A3E2, it's a heavy tank..
That M3 Stuart looks more like an M5 Stuart. Overall though, the models look pretty accurate. Keep up the good work. We'll be glad to see more in the future.
M3 Lee and M3 Grant are the same, the difference is that the first one is American service and the second one is British service, AKA the same as Sherman 76 and Sherman firefly, both objectively the same but British versions are just modified for their "pounder" guns.
The Black Prince was ready at the end of the war, it was just a wider Churchill Mk. VII with the same armor profile, engine and speed but a new weapon. Also, The Black Prince is not a Churchill 7. They're very different.
I can say you are a good 3D modeler, but not good at gathering and organizing information. You should work with good historian or some specialists to make a great video!! There are many tanks that hasn’t been added into this video, and I found the choice and arrangement of tanks are a bit weird. How can you call a universal carrier, a vehicle mainly designed for transportation of infantry and small firearms,as a tank? If T14, a tank never entered into the battle, is in the video, why another planned tank, Excelsior, cannot be in the video? Comet is the LAST tank of cruiser series, one of the distinguished features of British tanks. Where is it??? and so on.... :(
This has several problems:1:Italy wan not an Allied 2:that M3 Grant was a M3 Lee(The m3 grand existed but had a different turret, and didnt had a radioman) 3: That 'archer' was an Achilles
@@fable1109 there was a tank called the archer at had a 17pdr mounted on a Valentine chassis backwards, so the video is not correct in calling it the archer it's the achilles
Jerry Huynh to be fair if they're gonna feature the Covenantor (which was the least successful LMS design of WW2, loosing out to the 8F locomotive) they should feature the M6
I'm confused, theres the T14 Assault tank prototype and even the TOG II but no Comet I, M26, M36 Jackson, M18 Hellcat, M10. The M3 light tank is a M5 variant. Am I missing something
This person probably forgot about it, I mean. Can’t really blame this person since there was so much vehicles from the allies (including prototypes and on paper designs). For example the Pershing.
1st: Sherman Firefly was a medium tank, like Easy Eight, which are comparable. 2nd: It's not an Archer but Achilles. So on, if american and british tanks are presented, why you missed M10 Wolverine, M36 Jackson, M18 Hellcat, A34 Comet, M26 Pershing? And proper Archer?
Norbert Brodnicki: Italy changed sides in 1943 and declared war on Germany so from that point onwards they were allies. learning.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/10/13/oct-13-1943-italy-switches-sides-in-world-war-ii/
When they call sherman firefly tanks as tank destroyers but cannot penetrate Tiger's front and side armor only the rear. wtf Explain this kind of bullshitery Edit: or maybe its a modified sherman firefly mounted with an anti-tank gun
@@awsomeoperation2405 and thats as far from the truth as possible lol. IS-7. Very popular in wot. Only 2 prototypes where made. 1 is in Kubinka tank museum in Belarus. Didnt see combat. Centurion AX, bluebrint tank. Any KV from the KV-2 are bp tanks. E50/50M, E25, E10 aka Leopard (not Leopard 1) are all blueprint tanks. The whole japanese and chinese tech tree are almost fully made out of bp tanks. The only tech trees that are made out of IRL built tanks are the 277 line, old IS-7 line, STRV 103 B and Kranvagn line and the Obj 268 line.
