Even generals like Manstein gave orders to his men to liquidate Jews. To compare these war criminals to the Western Allies who was not in a government sanctioned genocide campaign is extremely disengenuous and shows either naivety or an ulterior motive. No, they were not morally equal. The Western Allies, despite not being perfect, were morally superior to the Germans.

Great combat footage & sound. My Opa was in Army Group South & his younger brother was in the Edelweiss Division. Have several photos of both in uniform.
My great grandmother was always telling me stories how soviets liberated them in Czech Republic she was looking from window and saw germans running from city in panic some on foot some in vehicles she didnt know what was happening then hour later soviets came and gave her vodka to drink they were all dancing in middle of street i always loved to listen to her war stories and what germans did to our people and slavs in general she died 13 years ago she was 94
Slavs, especially Russians, Poles, Belorussians, Ukrainians and Yugoslavs suffered much more casualties and had many times more victims than Holocaust, but unlike Jews, those victims and sufferings basically don't exist for Westerners

My grandfather took Part in encounter Barbarossa, got a Shrapnell in his head, lived in a wheelchair and died 1983 when i was a kid. Each time i come to see those clips, i wonder if he was there somewhere in the Videos without recognizing him
Nice video man it’s terrible the horrific sites they saw on a day to day basis not only the Germans but everyone, the horrors of war , machine gun fire and bullets flying over head must have been an inane experience and a terrifying one to see….
I agree with you there, Hitler was too ambitious..apparently his generals warned him against it, but he would dare not listen. Also the Operation Barbarossa was too stretched..Hiltler wanted to kill not 2 but 3 birds with 1 stone on Operation Barbarossa..stretching the army to attack at different angles, once again his generals warned him against it, he would dare not listen to anyone because of greediness

They were the best trained highly motivated powerful soldiers to ever fight in world War 2 they were also the biggest military at that time with around 13 million soldiers the world will never see again
