The Hilarious part is as they get older the springs sag on the Passenger side seat. Once they sag low enough they touch the tops of the batteries. So the passenger gets in sits down then touches something metal and Ka Pow !

Man that Willys is SWEET! and well maintained for sure! A fellow retired Marine buddy of mine back in Tampa owns and drives one as his daily! lol Nowhere near the condition of this one and bumpy as hell ride, but its his right arm and he'll probably be buried in it when the clock runs out on him. Thanks for sharing this one Steve, made my day. Cheers!🍻

That snorkel is called a FORDING KIT. Cross rivers high water. I installed plenty of those on the Humvees. When i joined the Marines we had jeeps. Humvees came after I got out. Doesn't mean what you see there is from WW2. Don't know what kind of Antenna base they have on that jeep but we used the MX6707 antenna tuner where the antenna screws into. It automatically matches the length of the antenna to frequency you use. That one on your video could be for show only but who knows. Love affair with the jeeps over there hence the JEEPNEY. Oh. I installed FORDING kits on Humvees or removed them when working military contract after getting out of the USMC.

I spent many years in those jeeps Steve. It looks close, but I think it’s been reworked. Close enough, lol! Nice look!! I enjoy the owner types, I call them baby jeepnies, lol. Thx for sharing. All the best Sir.

The 2nd one I have seen form vloggers, very nice. The first one was in a Bud Brown video, he went for coffee and one was parked in front of the coffee shop in Dumaguete. I think there is a military museum close to Dumaguete.

Usually the original willys jeep had willys stamped into the hood and would say willys on the plack inside. Isuzu and Mitsubishi also made jeeps and over time even the original flat heads were replaced with Isuzu diesel engines just like in the jeepneys.

Looks original, if not, a darn good copy. Too bad you can't pop the hood. BTW, you can still buy them in the original shipping crates.

I'm friends with a Girl who lives in Dasma, Her father builds jeeps like that. He's also the President of the Jeep club . I can give you her info if you want to get in touch with him. Who knows that just might be 1 he built ??

Cool....they selling it? If it's the original engine I believe they were straight 4's. Gas mileage probably would not be that bad. Getting parts for it might be a nightmare though.

i would steal that and have it sent back to usa where it belongs. along with all the rest of the equipment we as amercan citizens own. id strip all countries of our equipment regardless how they retained stolen equipment. we know that equipment was left behind to make money on black market by our own corrupt people. as beautiful s that jeep was, it sickened me to see it there.
