This is the most realistic animation for it's size, how the fire gif is meshed with real stop motion is amazing! Except for that tanks would definitely be slightly faster.

Amazing! What did you use for editing and how do you make things float in the air like shell from the tank?

I use Adobe after effects for all the editing and sound. I make objects float by using a simple technique called masking, which you can google from anywhere

Wow man this is just amazing to watch! How did you do the effects? I have After Effects (i think thats what you use to edit) as well but can never find any sparks/explosions tutorials.....

I might go into it in a bts video, but it's really important to add camera shake, bright effects, and other distortions to sell the explosions. I might go into it some time, but I'm not sure. I used footagecrate.com for the explosion at the end (they have some pretty good stuff).
