@@generalnawaki They’re literally vampires, not goths. Nadja was a gypsy, and Lazlo was raging pervert around the industrial revolution…i think. Like all vampires, keeping the time periods straight is a bastard and a half.
Yes, unfortunately I only noticed after I exported the video 😔✊ it really shouldn’t have happened, while they do have a passing resemblance I should have caught the clear Tucson Arizonia accent
I like to think that Laszlo thinks that if he didn’t wipe the baby's memory, the kid would go on any tell everyone they meet a vampire, not knowing babies cant hold memories like that
This compilation makes me realise and appreciate even more the detailed world-building and characterisation of this show. They could have very easily not given a shit because it's a silly fake documentary about vampires with often nonsense logic, but once something is established they try their damned hardest to stick to it. The characters somehow feel real *because* they are stupid. Like, for example, of course Nadja and Nandor are going to forget most of their native languages over time. It seems silly at first, but that's actually probably how that'd work in real life, if they are not purposely trying to maintain their knowledge of that language.
I realised Laszlo was my favourite Charakter when he was wearing the cape that made him look like Nandor. Seeing all the little acting choices from a different character made me appreciate how well they fit Laszlo
I never expected Laszlo to become my favorite character but now I find myself nonstop smiling whenever he’s on screen (Guillermo is my other babygirl tho 🩷)
For those of you who dont know. Aristotle's second book of Poetics is lost, and would probably give us more insights on greek oral literature than any other work in history. So him treating it like trash is doubly hilarious
