You have to lock up just to do an Irish whip. 2K14 and earlier games were different and better - you had to do a lock-up but then you could transition between 4 positions and even do limb targeting. 2K's games have always been trash but never worse since 2K22. If you're a kid or a casual player, I get it.

@@ArminVanLiberty I’m neither a kid nor a casual player, the having to lock up just simply doesn’t bother me like it does some but now that you’ve explained it, I can definitely see why it bothers some, just not me. Didn’t bother me in No Mercy, not in Day of Reckoning, and not in 2k22. Maybe it’s trash in your eyes because it’s not enough of a simulation, but not everyone wants a total simulation. As long as it can somewhat emulate a wrestling match, that’s enough for most.

Not sure if they can due to the engine, but there will definitely be a bit more polish, yeah.

​@@countchunkula_4077I know I'm nit picking here, 22 kinda annoyed me and I HOPE 23 isn't some reskin of it. The targeting was complete ass on 22 and I'm seeing the same crap in this one also. Especially at the end when Edge was the turnbuckle, I can tell whoever was playing wanted Edge to dive onto Cody.

No different from madden and 2k basketball it's a sports thing

It all depends on what kind of game it is. When it was simulation, it was always a wrestling match and never an intense more fighting match like you’d see at the end of an intense rivalry. In 2k22, it’s the opposite. You can’t really have a realistic wrestling match if you don’t like having to lockup before every grapple, which a lot of people don’t like. And overall 2k22 does feel a bit like an arcade game. I feel the perfect blend between the simulation and arcade was 2k14 but reversals in that game were too easy, even on legend difficulty. To me, the perfect game is 2k23, with all the simulation elements like chain wrestling, tired finishers, restholds, 2k19s grapple system, and simpler controls.

Sports games are the hardest to replicate

You realize that you can modify the gameplay with the sliders and the standard ones are quite arcady? Bruises, blood all is in in terms of real damage

@@Feralus The AI acts like in the 2k22 game, there is no fun to play against ai anymore cause its too easy. They act always the same they attack you always in the same way... and yes i know that fact with the sliders and i am playing on the most difficult and "realistic" one...
