Also, its SO annoying each time I cut on the game to get harassed by the my Faction menu popping up each time after pressing the start button. It's definitely has go away heat with me. Trying to use this mode as a huge money grab is a major problem.
I've played other sports games it only gets worse if the community buys in. It WILL only get worse if its tolerated. It will literally get to the point its all they care about, what y'all don't realise is they really are trying to build a game around these cards, not the other way around. The cards are the end all be all for them, every sports game has it now. They don't realise what kind of audience they have, and that were just gonna get pissed at my faction exclusives lol. Don't feel silly or like its farfetched. they ARE plotting against you, I wouldn't even buy next years 2k. Im sick of the shit, its only gonna get worse.
My faction wouldn’t be so bad if it was more player friendly. If I grind out 24,100 MFP, buy a pack and I get a duplicate superstar card, my compensation is 500 MFP. That is daylight robbery. The game would feel a lot fairer if was either a card market where players could trade and sell duplicates with other players, or the level of compensation for duplicate cards was upped significantly.
Hell yes! But what stops the company from only giving you only 10% of the card if you have extras? Rip. I like the mode cause im useing the characters in game instead of CAWs so its a shift back to help make the game last longer. But its 2k so every 6-8 months we get a roster update but everytbing else is the same
Sure but u still have the problem where i cant use someone like big poppa pump scott steiner (which is the only version anyone cares about) in something like universe mode. Can u imagine 2k not allowing u to use mj or kobe outside of myteam
At this point I figured that was #1 on the list of MyFaction bullshittery that needed addressing so I didn’t need to mention it again. My worry would be that it’d become the primary way of unlocking new characters, and the idea of ‘loot boxing’ new wrestlers is pretty fucking disgusting.
I've had ONE content creator be suggested to me to watch myfaction and frankly I have no idea whats going on lol, granted MUT (& its other EA equivalents) & 2K versions are all confusing to me. Why are factions so difficult to keep in Universe Mode but in myFaction it all works from what I hear.
They're making things like the dx music my faction exclusive to basically try to force you to play. They aren't wrestling fans they don't understand what kind of audience they have. Ripping imagination from it just makes us not wanna play, its not about the music as much as its about being able to have DX in universe or something. They wouldn't get that, because they aren't fans. idek why y'all continue to support 2k I was convinced to give this a chance and I even bought the icon, I want my money back. This game is beyond greed im so pissed at all the locked content... I want old career modes and a fleshed out universe mode, not card-sports game 8.0. As someone who played 2k14, and then this game, nothing improved idc about gameplay this game only got worse. Cons > pros.
I miss the days of just playing out game modes, unlocking new superstars and finding hidden characters as you play through certain modes. I'm not a Career guy but I was interested in some of the hidden superstars that you can unlock as you play through MyRise. I started playing it, and it could use some improvement but hey at least it feels like I'm earning these hidden characters. I'm fine with 2K announcing the base roster and DLC, but give us some extra superstars or arenas to unlock as we play MyRise or Showcase that weren't announced for the game. Now everything gets locked behind these virtual cards and you can only use them for one mode. It's so frustrating, just waiting to see when the hammer drops and something is finally done about these card modes across all games.
I absolutely cannot understand how predatory practices like this are still allowed by law...minors and people drawn to gambling are put at risk just for money with no disclaimer before buying the game or r-rating. At best it ruins the games for many of us and at worst it enables the personal downfall of people receptive to this psycological trapping! These game modes need to stop or be heavily regulated under gambling laws! Publishers need to be held accountable profiting off of mental and psychological struggles of many...just sickening tbh!
I miss the days of SvR with road to wrestlemania and the amazing universe mode, if they pooled resources into that, theyd make a way better game imo. Myfaction just isnt very fun and feels like a money grab after I've already spent $90+ on the game.
I play MyFaction off and on, but I NEVER spend a dime on it. I enjoy it because it will throw some fun challenges at you that I can't think of myself. For example, I have to beat Ilja Dragunov in under 5 minutes.
since how broken my faction was last year, and since how upsetting it was this year, it almost felt like the opposite of WWE 2K20, and WWE 2K22 was almost one of them. this could truly be almost the end of the road.😞😞
Why not just unlcock the models in the base game when you unlock them in MyFaction. Having them completely locked behind MF makes you just seek out modders to put them in the base game INSTEAD of playing the mode. If they want to drive up engagement, let me grind for Dom Mysterio's Judgment Day attire, and then when I get it, LET ME USE THE DAMN THING IN THE GAME, not just in MyFaction!
They should just treat the unlockable wrestlers as dlc and let you pay to download them and use them in the modes you actually want to play. But apparently there are enough people stupid enough to pay just to play them in MyFaction and waste a caw slot to use them in other modes. 🤷🏻

on the topic of the NBA community is very similar to the WWE community now because there was not another viable option The only other option is to stick with the previous game even though the servers are going to be shut down like they did for WWE 2K19 we stuck with that game for 2 years The only way they change the situation is if they see their money being affected. My faction is essentially NBA my team or something like that so it's going to make money but in our case we wanted to be worth it and the only way that changes is if people don't support it
I don't understand why any content creator isn't talking about a big issue like the bad servers,playing online matches is very frustrating and it's awful the fact 2K didn't do anything to fix this frustrating issue.
Cause their putting their focus on myfaction and ignoring everthing else. Case in point. I had an issue in universe mode and the only offer from tech was stuff from tech was things for myfaction.
11.30pm in the uk and wwe2k23 has no download option working for community creations or uploaded images. Uploaded creations are OK. This is on three game tags/profiles

i'm not going to lie. faction mode in my book was a distraction to us all. clearly, nothing was wrong with it since last year until they updated faction mode and only updated faction mode this year in 9 months. they updated it too many times over. i never liked faction mode compare to how unsettling it has been. in my opinion, i think it should either stay or be more at this point. 2K -1999-2024.
It was incredibly suspicious to me when they had you opening loot boxes for item cards (moves, clothes, taunts etc) all the way back in the career mode for 2k19. You couldn't buy VC with real money back then, but in hindsight it really seems like it was a testing ground for this microtransaction bullshit.
I remember thinking similarly about DLC when they first introduced it. Suddenly we had to pay extra to get the full game. I was convinced that it would flop, but it didn't, and now it's an industry standard. I think the producers have seen how that worked to make them more money and now they've taken it to a new level with things like MyFaction except now you're paying for things that are already there. You aren't downloading new content, you're just unlocking things that you used to just have to play through the story mode to do get.

Assemble why does no creators ever mention the fact that you cant play multiplayer in universe mode. Growing up as kids siblings use to play universe mode with 4 controllers before the online era. Essentially online play is dead, the online versus is bland and boring after a while
Not surprised with take two and there prices on vc. I don't play wwe2k games like I use to. Used buy them every year. I come here get info on the games and see if it worth buying for me.
Here's a thought regarding the TOS changes for WWE 2k games going forward: I'm positive that I saw one change being no more uploads of third party content to community creations. So will that mean no real life wrestlers not already part of the game? One thing that has kept me playing 2k over the years has been community creations and being able to download wrestlers from other companies. It'll be one more reason to push me towards not playing if that does end up going away.
I enjoyed my faction I just refuse to buy the wwe games anymore because I only play my faction and it isn’t worth the money since it the same game every year.

Kind of like nba2k with thepark? They cater so heavily to the online players that the McCarver and other areas just get the middle finger and bare minimum of effort put into them. Stlesdt wwe2k23 I can understand the McCarver story nba2k24 I have no clue wtf is going on...or how to unlock some quests just to change fcking jerseys for my team.
…I still don’t understand what My Faction even is exactly. I picked out 5 cards, played the tower mode as Drew because he was a gold card and that color usually means something good. Then 10 mins later I went back to Universe or GM mode. Is it trying to be a card game or is it some of collector game that only appeals to people with an intolerable levels of OCD?
Ya it’s a good question lol, I think it’s trying to be both but does neither well. You collect cards and you collect like extra plates for buffs but I never notice anything . I hope it gets revamped

The whole reason whatsthestatus is putting those alternates on the CC is 'cause they're locked on MyFaction, and 2K doesn't want people like whatsthestatus doing that so. Imagine being a multi-million dollar publisher turning down my money when I'm just like, "Okay so I want the alt. Big E, the alt. Steve Austin, the alt. Becky Lynch, but I also want them for my own personal Universe mode, not MyFaction. I got $30 in FU money, put them in the game for me to play." If they don't want people leaking the hidden sh*t on CC then they should be available to everybody. It's not rocket science. If they ran out room for wrestlers then maybe they should get rid of giving us 6 different versions of Rey Mysterio and put the MyFaction characters in there. It seems like a stupidly simple solution but they just don't seem to care to fix it. I have played MyFaction and it's boring as hell. I don't mind grinding in some Tower/Battle Pass mode but I don't have the time to keep doing the same sh*t just to get one rare card or paying them to "hope" I get the card I want.
And that's why I chose to buy Fight Forever I know it's not perfect but it's fun to play with my friends and at least thq didn't had alt attires behind a paywall of microtransactions Game modes like MyFaction can only be enjoyed if you're a whale like DSP the dude spent 50k on WWE Champions. If I wanted to play a card game I'll just play Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel
My faction mode would be fine without the microtransactions. And it would still be fine if the microtransactions were 1/10th of the price that they are. They are outrageously overpriced. I have disposable income and I don't mind paying $20 for micro transactions every once in awhile. But the fact that you can spend $100 on one 20 pack bundle and not even get a quarter of the cards in that series is ridiculous.
I already bought a suped up edition, of the game, with season pass, myrise boost, etc. I'm not inclined to give them more money, especially for something that adds nothing to the game. With all the space used for the mode, we could get more stories, creation options, anything that enhances the game, overall. I still play the game, but mainly just to try other options, in the myrise stories, and tweak my created wrestlers looks and movesets. The whole method of grinding, to get cosmetics, at random, it's why I quickly stopped playing Injustice 2. After the novelty of using the Turtles, it was all grinding. That gets boring, very fast.
👁️ they should not include my faction in the game, it should be a free, downloadable add-on that way they can focus on the important things for the 2K game like adding more legends, more match types and more Caw slots

WWE terminated my contract with 2K because of Endeavor. Perhaps EA will be the one who will work on the next game after WWE2K24. Perhaps it will be called WWE 25 or TKO25.

I know it makes too much sense but why don't 2K and others (aka EA) just make two games like in the past? I mean they are actually making a copy and paste game anyway so the upkeep of both games shouldn't be that hard while giving us (the gamers/consumer) what we want. Make an split model of the game where you can have just what most want (wrestlers and gameplay) and the other side with MyFaction, ECT. Then they can do what they always have done and that is create the "Ultimate Game" where you can have all of it in the game like now so that they can make a load of cash.
I gave it one chance just to see what the mode was about did not like it really wish they could have put more effort into like the game itself instead of just that mode over and over again for the next probably 10 years until they found a different way to use it again especially with like I think next year marking the first year with the merger happening that they probably have the WWE / UFC money now so they could really put some budget behind the game and make it better if they wanted to I feel like they could and to be clear I'm talking about general gameplay improvements and maybe eventually a new engine when it eventually goes next gen only which will probably be 2K25

Myfaction is a complete waste of time, you can’t play with sliders so what’s the point? I thought the main focus of these games was to create your own CAS and play through a season mode (universe) A playing card game serves no purpose in a wrestling game. Not interested
This is my opinion of WWE 2K22 and WWE 2K23 as a whole. My Faction is majorly overrated, so is Showcase Mode! Especially with Showcase Mode, it's no longer fun for me anymore! Because the AI is too aggressive even on easy, and too many fkn objectives to just complete one match or a set of matches! Especially in regards to unlocking in-game superstars and gear! Now, since WWE 2K22, 2K has put restrictions in place in Community Creation downloads...WTF??? This was never a problem from 2K14-2K20, Or before 2K took it over! Meaning that you're unable to download certain versions of in-game superstars unless you unlock the superstar or items in Showcase Mode, basically, take or leave it! My answer to that is...F*CK YOU 2K! I don't like restrictions in Community Creation downloads, never had and never will happen! Don't know if WWE 2K24 will be just like the last 2 games, but I will patiently wait and see! If history serves me well, I'm used to being disappointed in WWE games, but that's me! Do your own research, and draw your own conclusions. Have a nice day!
