Born June of 99 so I didn't get the magic of growing and watching at the time but I'm currently watching WWF RAW just finished watching summerslam 99' and I'm loving it!!!
I think the main reason they wont bring a huge roster back is because of licensing & agreements as well as trademarks. Nearly everything attitude era was WWF. Which means they would have to cut checks for past staff members & creators that vince fired. That's what I think but correct me if i'm wrong.

Jim Johnson is not letting most of his music in the game I know since I got 2k23 and Kane's music is an alternate version but at least in PC you can Mod it in also the original Kane song is different also but I hated this Showcase the most not just hating Cena is the stupid steps to unlock everything.

I believe 14 was a lil better, with the large roster it had n of course the create a story mode(still being able to use custom music) it felt like a great send off. I love the attitude era n currently rewatching it on peacock.

WWE owning the rights to WCW and ECW, they really could make the most epic game for all fan types.. They could make bank doing it, 3 versions of the game - all with current roster plus 1 selected additional roster and story mode (WCW/ ATTITUDE ERA / ECW). 3 months after release, DLC's are released to add each to whatever version you purchased..
Yes. Honestly, I'd love to see a retelling of this from WCW and WWE's side up until 2001. I know most people want Showcases for Roman Reigns or John Cena but I think doing the Attitude Era one more time, starting from 1997 up until 2001, including RAW 2000's stage, Chyna, Edge/Christian, The Hardy Boyz, all of WWE '13's DLC with today's graphics would be phenomenal

I swear, I’m rewatching the era on peacock…I was 8 in 98(when I first watched WWF, watched WCW before that) but just reliving these memories/moments is wonderful. Truly a time to be alive…never went to a show but now that im older it definitely wouldn’t be the same with a roster like when Rock, Austin, Taker, DX, Kane n others were active
Would be awesome if had a story mode that starts from wrestlemania 1 to wrestlemania 38 😅. That you can play every character's story from different era. It will be a very very long play but sure hella fun

I have been playing WWE2K15 today I honestly love the 2 showcases and aslo Austin's in 2K16 I hated 17 and 18 but loved 19 and even 20 and 22 hope 23 will be sick too 😎

The problem with wwe "2k" development is the storymode, it lack excitement, & everybody is so use to having all options & features available. Now you play goofy ass storyline against people who isn't in the wwe or mix storyline after you win a title. What happen to wwe games like
It would be nice to see that back again, these games are falling short, smackdown vs raw 2010 and 2011,wwe13 and 2k16 were my favourite ones, they need to bring back the old style back

This is what we need attitude era wrestlers. Also blood and bruises too. Also the many extreme match types from that era like ambulance match, graveyard, coffin and intergender. Bring back the weapons from that era too like the barbed wire baseball bat for example.
We need an attitude era pack since we're getting a icon edition Ruthless Aggression Pack. I really want more superstars for the 2002/2003 era since we're literally on the 20th anniversary of Here Comes The Pain and Shut Your Mouth pretty much.
I was thinking the same thing. In Universe You could choose between New Generation Era, Attitude Era, Monday Night Wars, Ruthless Aggression, Universe Era, and whatever they're calling the current one.
This right here! I think a Monday Night Wars would be absolutely perfect. 2k24 has a pretty great and loaded roster with some creations for the New Generation era which is great. I miss 2k13 with the attitude era. Perfect!
Seems like whenever they try to bring back the Attitude Era feel there always seems to be a handful of wrestlers missing that would complete the depth of roster. Would love to see a few WCW stars in the mix. After all, they were part of the Era and WWE now owns the branding
Honestly we love new day but they got to understand the eras that made it the moments that we all remember from certain matches they could easily do a my moment with multiple differ legends tag teams and all from DIFFRENT companies wcw ecw and WWF why not to me the other wwe game that had attitude era was so great to me…..I never finished it the gameplay was so long but I sat and watched all the cutscenes wishing one day it’s going to look way more realistic now they have the chance to do any and everything to please us old and modern day wwe fans
Damn if only ! I just want undertaker showcase for 2k23. It would give us a lot of that attitude era content that we really want. Superstars arenas and other elements!
Seriously this needs to be a thing or atleast have more attitude era superstars and make them look younger and not be lazy like they did taker… I’m 28 and haven’t watched wwe in years but I stupidly bout the last game thinking it would have a lot of legends and to say the roster was lackluster is a understatement I need more legends!!!!!!!!

The attitude era was the best I grew up with it and had both smackdown and smackdown 2 for Playstation would love to bring back those to games but remastered for now aday councils.
Haven't played a wrestling game since since wwf days but I will be getting this game there is and never will be nothing like the attitude Era the raw intro alone is better then anything going on now days with wwe
I know the “official” timeline is Wrestlemania 14-17 but for me the Attitude Era began 3/17/97 (Bret Hart snaps) and ended at Summerslam 2002 when Lesnar defeated The Rock.
I know 2013 had it but if the newer game had The Atitude Era mode again on it I would buy it. I don't watch WWE anymore since the PG Era came in but I'd definitely shell out the money for that
An Invasion mode (or Alternate Invasion mode) is something I've been hoping for a long time. A timeline where all the WCW guys they have under licence now who didn't come in for the 2001 Invasion take on who was there for the WWF.

I STG if they did do this with the game I hope they add the Invasion storyline from 2001 and everything else from the Attitude Era from *ALL* of the top stars perspective and their stories.
Its the exact same again with just improved graphics. Hopefully the AEW game is our answer. Also they always focus on the Attitude era. Would love to see the Federation Years era be the main focus. I would also love to see a Bret Hart limited edition of the game.
