WWE 2K24 Universe Mode Has Got Me Interested But...

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's reactions to the first information about WWE 2K24 Universe Mode, I'll be replying to as many reactions as possible. Interested to hear everyone's thoughts on what's known so far and what you all want to see.

Bro finally someone said it. I get so tired of cutscenes involving the ring area. Storylines in wrestling also take place backstage, parking lot locker room etc. Shocked they havent added those yet. Would really give universe mode some much needed replay value.

Can you imagine how good Universe mode could be if they put even HALF the effort into it that they put into MyFaction...

They need to put 3 way rivals, And multiple tag team rivals And can we finally have a actual survivor series show vs show rivalry

I hope they bring back the undertakers wrestlemania rivalry storyline

How the hell backstage promos havent been added in yet 💀

As soon as rivalries actually work, not like in 2k23 where they never ended automatically, I'll be happy

I generally wouldn't mind if they brought back the Story Collection from 2K15, Add that to Rivalry Actions and you could have tons of new ideas for Universe Mode in 2K24.

I think a really good cutscene that WWE 2k24 could add is Randy Orton coming out and RKO someone outta nowhere

Universe mode essentially is like madden franchise mode. It was the best mode that kept people interested but eventually the devs neglected it as if the fans hated it. Then reintroduced things old games had as if it was new features meanwhile the grindy microtransaction mode gets all the attention and the last installment that had a good version was 2012

I hope they bring back the Draft episodes like in 2K12. That would be awesome.

I Really want Promos and Opening shows with Pyros in Universe Mode in WWE 2K24!!!

Universe mode needs to be exactly what it says on the tin *universe* mode. I want my episodes of raw and smackdown looking like a real TV show, i want the intro for raw and smackdown played at the start of each show along with starting pyro and then into commentary. I want to be able to schedule promos instead of matches as well as backstage interviews about rivalries. This would essentially allow us to make full proper shows

One of the simple things is being able to select the people involved in a cut scene So frustrating when you’d select a rivalry action but the opponent randomly selected just throws off the whole scene, like you select a scene where you take both people out but one of them is in your stable, it makes no sense

Nothing beats Roar versus Smackdown 2011 and WWE 12 universe mode

they should re add back the promos thing so u can add it but they should be able to make 3 people or 4 come out instead of just a 1 on 1

If adding cutscenes/rivalry actions is the only update we're gonna get, I hope it's a lot more...like nearly 50 new cutscenes even.

It’d be nice if they integrated promos into the rivalry action list bring back branching storylines and the undertaker Wrestlemania rivalry I’d also like to see variations of a multi man rivalry too like factions triple threat and fatal four way

Promos is a crucial aspect of rivalry building and Wwe storylines. It can help build rivalries from raw and smack down to PPV. Without it, universe mode won’t make sense. I hope they add some aspect of it. I also want beat the tribal chief mode implemented in universe mode where every time you are about to beat Roman, someone interfere.

So no promos, another bad year for universe players like me

Hey, just came across your channel. Just wanted to say so far it’s been nothing short of impressive. I think a couple cool things that could also be added to the game in terms of elimination style matches could be a four corners elimination style match which I believe is from wrestlemania 15 with Ken Shamrock, gold dust, Bohl, Venus and road dog. As far as universe mode goes I think this is a great opportunity to possibly discuss how they could just work on focusing their effort in making longevity effort into the game. So instead of going onto 2K 25 we just focus for another year on 2K 24 and try and improve everything from this standpoint. Obviously they’ve invested some time and energy into making this a better game, so this is where they could dig deep and say we’re putting a foot in the sand for now, and really trying to give this everything it’s got and as far as adding new superstars this is where my action comes in and they can do exactly what they did with NBA 2K And allow you to purchase new characters or just go through my faction to get them the old-fashioned way obviously paying to play is going to be key à la cash is king

I think the biggest game changer Universe mode needs is being able to book shows ahead of time and for the AI to book my universe toward those shows. Say I wanted to build to a Wrestlemania match between Becky & Bayley. It would be great to be able to save that match for that card, then Universe recognizes how to book that rivalry’s matches up to the show.

I just wish they bring back Create a story/ Story design mode back like THQ did in WWE12-15 or add it to universe mode. I don’t want to cut seems to just be with the people in the rivalry. I wanna be able to add anybody on the roster to any cut scene that I want. And we need promos

Yeah it would be cool if they brought Promos back in the game especially if they had more than 2 people it would be amazing if they had backstage promos or cutscenes they should also add 3 vs 3 or 4 vs 4 rivalries with brawl animations on locker room clearances. Maybe they could add home invasions or give us an option to fight in public. At least make the backstage brawl area bigger adding the managers office and locker rooms. But I still have feeling that this will be a good wwe game.

Hopefully, 2K adds faction rivalries in universe mode. That'll be 🔥 if we can pick out cutscenes from backstage brawls to brawls within the ring between two rival factions. We can finally live out a fantasy rivalry between DX and NWO. Or any other faction you can think of. Also, I hope they allow us to write our own promos with texts and branch options. Like in story designer mode. We also need backstage interviews/ attacks.

There are definitely many things that will be missing, but I’ve got to say the progress the last game made and this game seems to be making is certainly an exciting thing to see! Great video, definitely gets my hyped for the release!

Weird how the Universe Mode hasn't gotten much better since Smackdown vs Raw 2011; the game it began in. Hell, in that game, story lines actually ocurred with some frequency compared to some of the subsequent games.

I wish they would just give us a story mode where I could use any wrestler I wanted, or a season mode with branching stories and free roaming and fighting outside and in different areas of the arena, more then one on one rivalries would be great, cause the mode really just feels like a bunch of random matches with the same person with no real story just odd cutscenes

Would like the crowd fighting area be update or expanded me personally I wanna see a huge scaffolding or platform like svr 08 come back just for more omg moments

My idea for universe mode, would be too add the promo interval slots back inbetween matches. But allow for create a story cutscenes to added as either vignettes or angles

Would be cool to see preset options when editing match tables. I want every single PPV to have every single title on the line. No random matches at all

I think we wont get RTWM ever again, so i think the best thing to do is bring back story creation, and more creative modes, i would expand universe to become season mode. Which means you can have a sandbox mode OR. From a select amount of stars you can choose and they have an entire voice over , cutscenes etc. its gonna be better yhan season mode

It’s funny how I got my hopes up for choosing locations for shows and PLEs. (Ex: Atlanta, Charlotte, Wichita, Paris, etc.)

My problem with Universe mode and they’ve had the same problem for years is if I edit the matches of a show, then I leave universe mode to update something in the settings on the main screen, if I come back to Universe Mode half my matches are either gone or changed dramatically and the other half are no longer title matches. I’m not open to any other feature until they fix that first

Here’s a few things universe mode needs 1. allow players to manually control cut scene. I hate random cut scenes . I want to be able to control the cut scenes. 2. Add stable, cut scenes. 3. Manuals stable run in You can select 1 or all 4 of your stable members to run in to either help you Or turn on you 5 back stage interviews and. Confrontations. 6 stable promos

they should add something we won't get tired of after an while, because its only so much we can do in universe mode

I hope they have a cool way to debut new wrestlers to a show. I feel like the run-ins feature might fill this void but it was hard to do it 2k23.

4 v 4 or 5 v 5 rivalries would be amazing for a WarGames rivalry

I just want match records that were in Here Comes the Pain, where it showed how many times a wrestler won or lost against another wrestler.

My issue with universe mode of recent is just the lack of the surprise element like u control everything so its not as entertaining for me when i know when somebody’s gonna run out or do an ambush etc. i would like it how it was in wwe 13 i think where everything was just a lil more random and hectic and superstars was just running out left and right due to previous rivalries etc. give each superstar behavioral traits so these random encounters would make sense and still be shocking and create storylines for u or further enhance storylines that u already made

The large majority of my playtime in wwe2k is in myuniverse mode, I play the other modes once maybe and that's it, so it's disappointing to see it languishing every year with minor updates, it really needs something big to refresh it. That being said the new match types will be a good addition.

Not a fan of rivalry actions, because I prefer to let the universe mode play out, and I don't like the way it picks the rivals, there is no potential rivalry anymore. If they change them so there is a cause and effect, like returning from injury, splitting up tag teams etc., then that would be more interesting. Also need triple threat, fatal 4-way and faction rivalries., as you said.

They to make it where rivals are matched up every single week, or have rivalries crossover with others on the brand occasionally until the PPE

Got a question were you able to find out can we pick the outcome winner and be able to watch it I know you can pick it when you simulate but can you pick it and watch it instead of it randomly doing a winner if you watch it

2K17 universe mode is so much fun to me imo such a sleeper in the great universe mode conversation.

We want The RTW Mode back. LA Knight,Tweener Drew,Alpha Academy and Charlotte stories

i would love a cutscene that takes someone out for injurie and then another one showing them returned..different ones

i wish we had mid-match cutscenes that add spots to the match similar to myrise or showcase

Things I want to see in Universe Mode: More superstar specific cutscenes, bring back Randy Orton’s one he RKO’s you from behind, Brock Lesnar, AJ Styles appearing out of nowhere and hitting you with a phenomenal forearm etc. Please bring back Show Intros and The Draft because they brought a sense of realism to the game and really added replay-ability. Bring back controlled mid match run ins, I want to be able to interfere in my rivals matches and screw them over. More match specific cutscenes: Special Guest Ref, Ambulance, Casket etc. Please add in backstage segments: E.G. If you’re on Raw have interactions backstage with Adam Pearce to advance storyline, text based dialogue like: “I’ve been really impressed with your matches lately, I’d like to put you in a title match.” Or if you’re a cowardly heel always getting DQ’d or counted out, he puts you in Last Man Standing, Falls Count Anywhere match stipulations etc or threatens to strip you off the title. Just a few suggestions 2K :).

Frfr all I want is promos back I doubt we get it bc they would have announced it and just better organization when you booking shows

what they should do is integrate the story designer mode into the universe mode, because, just by adding our subtitles in advance, it would already change the game a lot, as well as the promos, especially since in wrestling, the story always interests people more than the fights.

Hey brother something I remembered in is that you can put the ecw Championship on the line in a money in the bank match in smackdown vs raw 2010. Idk why I remembered that but maybe that sparks an idea 👍

if they had added rivalry actions for special guest referee and the new match types it would be nice

My GM and universe mode needs to combine. You should be able to create your own show and and build it up

If they can add to it and give u total control, like not make it random like it was in 2k23, and add promos to it, till be perfect

I can't even complete matches in this mode. I play through them, it says exit or rematch. I exit and the match I just played isn't completed.

I just want them to not call MyCareer/Rise, MyCareer/Rise this year. Because over the past few years, a majority of the story is linear like Road to Wrestlemania but the game is supposed to empathize making your "own path"

Well, I'm going back to 2k19 they just exaggerated it, in the article and we all know there will be some minor changes in universe mode.

It’ll be fun to have a save slot where you only play as the referee.

Is there a way to use my character in Universe Mode and let the game decide everything? I'd just like to make a career with no fixed events

I hope this year they let you pick the 3rd superstar for a rivarly match in universe mode, in 2K23 if the match involves a 3rd superstar you could not select it at the system just picks a random one if I have a Rivalry between Cody and Reigns I don’t want Cody to be facing Ivar on RAW

Promos would be good, promos make wwe what it is. We also need more tag team breakup scenarios I want to have hit finisher on tag team partner, but it’s each characters finisher, or what move would work, so jimmy/jey uso superkick, Roman spear. Brock f5, cena FU. so many they could do. Not just chair shots 😂

I WISH they'd just have people from the community, the most creative RU-vidrs to work with them ane give them all the ideas we REALLY want and have for years. And say they work hand in hand on ideas and implementation into the game and say 1. All these ideas that people want can show up in this years game 2. All the ideas that people want that will take longer to implement so they will be prepared for the following years 2k

Everything that happens and has happened in My Career should be ported to Universe...the expansion would be significant and would grow year by year.

Universe mode could be god tier honestly! They just gotta add more customization and cutscenes and really make it immerse and so amazing! I just want them to use their full potential!

Brawls would be cool if would could brawl after a match longer

It seems they didn't added promos and the Shows intros, like they had in WWE 2k22.

They should let you watch matches so you can make your on rival choice if you decide to interrupt that match

They can take from the smackdown vs raw series give the talent voice acting in the game so promos can have more impact give us long story telling when we start a rivalry if its two vs two or fatial 4 way and let us see how long it goes maybe to a paper view or to another one if its against a champion it would give universe mode a major step up and keep ppl playing the game for years you can do it 2k get universe mode right ✅️

I haven’t purchased a WWE video game since Smackdown vs Raw 07. I recently got reinvested into the story lines of the modern product and it has got me excited to purchased the new WWE2k24 game and this mode has me intrigued. I’m sure your complains are very much justified and hopefully they show this mode more love, but I can’t say I’m not still excited to try it out

Man, if got back like were in 2k19 It's already a win We need more rivalries slots, we have 4 but we need more than that per show We have to have full control over the scenes and who will be in the matc, bc In the 2K23 they just randomize one of the wrestlers

How about putting tournaments back in universe mode?

I really wish they would dedicate a game to Universe mode. Universe & GM mode are the most played and has longevity so why skimp on those two modes. Triple threat & fatal 4 way rivalries would be nice. Making managers more useful. The cutscenes they put in story mode they could put some of those in Universe, promos and backstage cutscenes would be great too. I don't think 2K listens to feedback that much anyway.
