When she asked Jay what he gets his groceries in I was just thinking about all the badass cars he has, but he was so humble and said an electric Fiat to not put her down in front of her husband and the audience... classy!
We all know Jay gets his groceries in any one of the 500 cars that he has. The only people getting their groceries in a fruity car is David Letterman and Conan.
I have met Bill Goldberg. Super nice guy. Very much a class act. Tried his best to give you a memorable experience as a fan. I enjoy his performances in the ring and in movies and shows. Has a lot of charisma and character. Always happy to see things going well for him and his family. Jay Leno is always a signal that a good time will be had.
Honestly this is the best project he's been attached to. I always found him underwhelming when he was the host of the Tonight Show, but I love this show.
Like an old joke being told “so a stunt woman, a late night talk show host and a pro wrestler walk into a bar” Leno in the middle with Goldbergs arm around him kills me 😂
Goldberg is a kind man, met him with my then, young son, and he went out of his way to please my boy after a match in Casper wyoming. Love when people dont get big heads for their blessings. Love is the key that opens doors....
@@davidritchie9344 Yeah, and the one reason he came back to WWE was he wanted his boy to be able to see his father do his thing... and have his BOY hear that "Goldberg...Goldberg...Goldberg..." chant. Legitimately class human being.
Met Bill riding my street bike in 2003. At peak of his WWE years and he was riding he's bike. He even said he like my bike and we talk 20-30mins about bikes..... He even sign my gas tank. Awesome guy !!!
Imagine driving around and out of nowhere you see Bill Goldberg and his wife in a 1950's truck, and Jay Leno is stuffed into the sweet spot in the middle
Hi, Wanda: From a guy from Regina. I loved your 1967 Ford that Bill restored for your dad. It was pretty cool to do that for your dad. True love of family always retains huge value of our legacy to this life. I had a good laugh when Jay gave an example of the cost of restoration & old trucks & the monetary loss in the end. The same thing happened to me with my 1976 GMC, 3/4 ton, 427 cu in that I spent $4000 in the 1990's to repair & in the end sold it for half of what I put in to it. It could match speed from 20-85 MPH with my 1994 Dodge Stealth with Hennessey HKS boosted to 14-16. I also owned a couple of Dodge Vipers which also lost their value quickly when sold a few years later. Then again, we usually know that depreciation hit's coming when we buy them. Loved seeing Jay doing a show with you & Bill. It is one of my favourites of all of Jay's car shows. You're a beautiful couple! Loved you both in the video. God bless & stay safe in your professions. P.S., Wanda: Go, Riders!
You watch old 80s wrestling tapes and half the crowd is grannies, especially the front row! They were the meanest and nastiest in the crowd, all yelling, swinging at and spitting on the wrestlers. They don’t make women like they used to.
I've always admired BG as a wrestler an an actor. As a human being, the man is without question someone who is true to himself and to those around him.
Without a doubt! Met him many years ago here in ft Myers fla when he was hired by a shoe store called just for feet on their grand opening to sign autographs! Stood in line for hours to get his autograph for my son who loved him as a wrestler! When I got up to him he signed a shirt I bought and a photo we got to talking and he was in no rush to end the conversation as a matter of fact some guy that was there which was probably a promoter came over to him and must have said there is a huge line and we have to hurry up! Needless to say he never acted like he didn’t want to talk forever! I will never forget this as for I took my son to meet the rock when he had a monster truck named after him at a monster truck show and he was here with his father, mother and girlfriend at the time and he acted like he didn’t want to sign any autographs! And actually their were kids that didn’t have vip tickets but were standing by a fence calling out his name and he never even acknowledged them! I will never forget that either! Lost all respect for him that day! Goldberg truly truly is a stand up guy! Wish I could see him today and let him know how often I had spoke of how down to earth he was!
Used to watch wrestling with my grandpa, when I was a little kid. We'd take his '77 Ford Highboy and watch the matches when they would come into the city. I still have the Highboy, all fixed up in homage to pappy. I'll give it to my son when he's old enough. Every time I take my kids out in I still think about driving to the falls with him and talking wrestling.
Lmao funniest episode I ever seen , lmao when Jay says well let’s go for a ride and all three was in the truck , leaving Jay on the side of the roads just topped it off , thx Jay , I needed that 😎
I met one once in a sales class. He wasn’t one of the big names but I vaguely remembered the acts he was in (a couple of tag teams back in the 80s - one was the Mod Squad and the other was a lesser known “Russian” tag team). He got hurt when he fell wrong and it ended his wrestling career, so he was trying a new direction. Nice guy. And I grew up with a friend whose daughter is a current up and comer in women’s wrestling. She’s also gotten hurt and will be out for several months.
never thought I'd LOVE a Leno bit about cars this much, but he and Bill have a great on camera chemistry and the wife is less of a drag than most. Well played sirs!
The funny part to me is they had all those to choose from and they choose a 1967 Mercury 100 6 cyl 3 on the tree to go for a ride in. I had a 1970 f100 in high school so when I see a bump side I still dream, but i would have chose any other car in there to go for a ride in.
@@brutalbasspro Mercury was very much loved in Mexico, especially for the Grand Marquis, even though all their vehicles were sold as Fords and not Mercurys. I had no idea they made trucks at some point and, to my surprise, there's an M100 listed for sale in a Mexican website. 😲
That ending there was just so f===ing hysterical!! That is why Bill Goldberg is on my short list of all time favorites professional" tumblers" , and Mr. Jay Leno is #1 pick of all time funniest comedians for his sense of humor and work ethic[s]!!!!! Read all about his first ever job, why he got the job and and how he went about to apply for it! True and incredibly inspiring story! His "Jay Walking" skits were so d==m gut busting!!! Thank You Mr. Leno!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love how he has his grandma’s 1962 T-Bird, and the fact that it still has the Fred Jones Ford logo on it. I still have my aunt and uncles 1963 Mercury Monterey, from the same dealership. Great episode!
I have a repair business and was out to the house that truck came from . They told me the whole story and showed me pictures of it before and after Bill took it back to California . Before I left , bills mother in law gave me a signed WWE picture of Bill holding the belt . Nice people . Believe it or not , Brock lesnar lives an hour or so down the road and has been to the same house . Pretty cool .
How wild is it though that 5 Had the same Bdays as well as her. I saw some comments that say it was a joke and I can't tell if it was a joke and he sold it well or it was true because 2 girls I've been in serious relationships with, both have Oct 1st Bdays and a 3rd was Oct 5th and 2 were named Michelle so I def think there is something there. Maybe astrology has some truth to it
My dad had a Ford 68 1 ton when I was growing up. Really liked that old truck. It was a work horse. He put a later model 351windsor 4 barrel in it out of a Ford Torino.
Nice cars. Watching them drive around and seeing the area brings me back. I used to drive that area when I was stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA, and lived in Escondido. I remember running into both of them in Escondido back in 2005 a week before I moved to north Idaho. Great down-to-earth people!!
If Jay leno was president. He would lift the year requirement for importing cars from other countries which would be awesome. I want my Toyota Alphard now!
I love how Jay Leno side stepped the question about how he takes his groceries in his small EV fiat and added a bit of humor. He could have said his Tesla Model S but probably would have gotten jack hammered on the spot.
I had two "Three on the Trees".......both of them were more like "Two on the Tree" because you could just about never get them back in 1st gear.....just rumble out in second with the clutch smoking....
i had a 68 mercury pickup in the same color in 1999. Paid 800$ for it 3 on the tree, outer tool box and had a air filter that worked without an element you only had to add a little oil inside the base and it would catch the dirt as the air got sucked in.
My mother loved wrestling big four horsemen fan and the mookie brothers they won very few matches but the always pulled for them. she also was a NASCAR fan and loved Dale Earnhardt she died the same year as Dale
I've met the guy a couple times, he used to go all the time to the home depot i work at. He seems very down to earth willing to sign an autograph when asked.
My ex gf worked at Costco in Escondido and said he used to come in a lot and was alwaya friendly to the employees. Would always sign an autograph or take a picture.
Bill Goldberg was my favorite wrestler back in WCW during his undefeated streak. He was so explosive and powerful, a physical specimen. He picked everyone up and slammed them no matter how big they were.
Yeah he was over in WCW, his first WWE run was awesome but now every time Vince gives him the call, he always wants to work in a main event spot like Bill, you're 54, you shouldn't be here taking a younger guy's spot in the title picture. Like with Christian Cage now being in AEW and even Edge on Smackdown with Roman, like Edge wasn't thrusted right into the main event title scene when he first came back, he was a suprise in the Rumble and in Jay's case , same thing he debuted at Revolution as the suprise signing and is now in a feud with Team Taz going into Double or Nothing.
I met Goldberg at Walmart once before a match at the altell arena in Arkansas when I was a kid, him and a couple other wrestlers were there. I was in the check out line and he was right behind me turned around and looked up. Made my day
I've been a Goldberg fan sense I was a little tiny child I am 27 now and still want to meet him just as bad as before of not more now than then... Go Dawgs!!!
@@Gladiator0719 Didn't they try to replace the then retiring Steve Austin with this doppelganger? Goldberg seems like a nice dude, and he was/is a good wrestler, but he has NOWHERE near the charisma/personality to fill the hole left by Austin having to retire.
That truck reminds me of the first and only vehicle I ever stole. Although my truck was even older. My father bought it for $100 at a city auction in the mid 70s. It was a 1961 Ford pickup truck with 3 on the tree and a 6 cylinder. You could stick a nail file into key slot and turn just just like a key.
That happened to a friend of mine - she happened to be driving past where the tonight show was filmed and he flagged down the car to do an interview. I saw the show back in Oregon and went - hey wait what is Sue doing in CA? It was pretty surreal for her and for everyone that knew her.
