Time Stamps: 00:00 Show Starts 01:25 intro 02:20 MVP Shoots On Hurt Business Split 20:15 WWE Smackdown Thoughts 39:37 Cody Calls out Bloodline 47:19 Smackdown Recap
if you put a dash ( - ) between the time stamp and title in the description it will create chapters. e.g, 0:00 - show starts. just in case you didn't know. happy birthday steve!
Honestly the funniest ending to a triple threat match would have been hitting a stunner on Waller and then hitting a stunner on theory and letting theory fall into the pin on Waller.
Jacob Fatu is Solo's first cousin. Their fathers are brothers. That is why he is there. Tama Tanga and Tonga Loa could be there because of the Rock. Some back stage segments in the something reminiscent of the Bloodline clunhouse.
Imagine having been standing behind Roman so long and seeing his behavior Solo tries to mimick it to a comedic degree with the Tongans while Jacob stands in the back like the Soaman Jason Voorhees
The point around HHH and black wrestlers feels like a disingenuous viewpoint that's done out of bitterness, as well as removing context and lay of the land. The guy had Big E, Keith Lee, Bianca Belair, Swerve, Sasha Banks, Ember Moon, Velveteen Dream, Ricochet, Michin, etc etc all come through his NXT. Not to mention all the other ethnicities that were and are still represented. There's a whole host of samoans, hispanics and asian men and women that have been pushed developed and used effectively. It's just right now, the current context, LA Knight has just won the title so you can't have Melo win it yet. Bianca and Jade are pushed as these dominant women, but they don't want to kill Nia's run, so they're waiting to split them at the right moment (probably for a Mania feud), The New Day are ever present and just had an Odyssey Jones story killed because of his allegations and Mia Yim had a world title match a week ago. If HHH had LA Knight or Nia lose their belts to Melo and Jade next week, they'd say those champions were short-changed. HBK gets the talent at the source, so if WWE have been actively looking to recruit a more diverse roster, he's the one to benefit from that development in the immediacy. HHH won't get that until the likes of Trick, Oba, Wes, Lash, etc all are finished in NXT and are ready to be main roster talent. None of which have 'completed' NXT yet. To me, it feels like a smear campaign; removing all the legitimate reasons to why it is like it is right now. The whole argument feels like it's built from disgruntled former talent, and people wanting to make a villain out of the situation. Those men an women will get their moment when it's the right time.
I think it is just harder to write for someone with a different life experience and when you try it can come off as unauthentic or stereotypical. Whether that means race, culture or nationality. It may make someone hesitant to even try. The only real solution is diversity in creative. Plenty of former wrestlers they could pull in and just ask what representation would you have liked to see when you were a kid and build from there.
There was like 5 during the Tiffany match. She really may need to cover up a bit more. If you're gonna have to black out the screen for potential wardrobe malfunctions, the change the wardrobe.
For real. It always blows my mind how wrestlers go out there, have wardrobe malfunctions, and then go “Oh well! Guess I’ll wear the same thing next week!”
Idk why people are being so fucking critical. This was a genuinely fun and good episode. Also Larson yellow cake is just vanilla cake with more butter.
@@SteveAndLarsonYeah I had no idea you all did that just because I don’t watch your AEW reviews because I’ve lost interest in AEW, but I still enjoy NXT
I'm throwing my ☝️'s up 4 the only Real Tribal Chief..Roman Reigns! I'm holding a different finger up 4 solo sikoa....Stone Cold knows which finger I'm talking about?!..WHAT!
36:07 the botch idea could be interesting if instead of a review, “Triple H” defended some of the most infamous botches in WWE in as little detail as possible
Thank you, Steve and Larson, for bringing up the booking issue for Black Wrestlers. Even Latino and Asian wrestlers are not in anything interesting. Triple H comes like a racist. Happy Birthday Steve
So in a roundabout way, your saying wwe is racist. Nonsense, the people whom say “how they book black people”, maybe, just maybe they don’t look at your wrestlers by skin color. Over it, because truth it’s the contrary, the complainers r racist
