I hardly seen anyone complain about him losing. Not only was it a unique finish, but it protected Trick by him not actually being pinned

@@thenightmaricsenpai524 he's shown alot of improvement for sure,,, however I still think there's stuff he can continue to work on. E.g his timing.. I've noticed, sometimes he'll rush into a move, making the spot look a bit mechanical.. If he can take this time to tighten up on those little things he'll be ready to go on the main roster next year..

Seth's falcon arrow did look sloppy, made me cringe too when he did the buckle bomb. annoys me why he insists on doing those moves when he cant cleanly pull them off

Or better yet they could have Damian THINK that Finn was the one who paid off the ref increasing their tension, but in reality make it be Liv Morgan who's one who SEDUCED the ref to rig the match, promising him one of those Hotel keys if he rigged it for her. With her trying to slither her way into Rhea's spot in the Judgement Day, she's been unable to win over Damian. So it would make sense that she would do something like that to try to win him over, not realizing that he doesn't want her help.

Well, according to everything I've read and heard in interviews past, the referee is supposed to count the pinfall if their shoulders are down no matter what to avoid issues like that. If it's a title match, so be it, the titles changing hands, it's happened before.

As far as I know, traditionally, the referee's biggest job was to make the match look like an actual contest so they were told to count legitimately. The heat would be on the wrestler who didn't kick out when they should have, because they'd be the one who made the mistake.

Priest losing would mean the judgement day breaks up prematurely, CM punk couldn't interfere and screw drew over with his cash in as it wouldn't be a triple threat and would just be a 1v1 with Drew against Seth. The storyline between Seth and Punk wouldn't have it's continued build by Punk screwing Seth as collateral damage. Priest would lose out on the opportunity to continue his heel to babyface turn by offering Seth another chance at the title after Summer slam recognizing that Priest didn't actually beat Seth because Drew was pinned. In kayfabe the Refs call is always final if they want to add more context in kayfabe as to what happened like other members of the judgement day bribing the ref to make sure Damien won without actually being there they have that as an option. Hell if they went that route and had that ref become a member of the judgement day it would be easier and more enjoyable than the nonsense they would have to do to fix everything stated above if the ref did count to 3.
