He's not a knock off of Rock and Austin. He's definitely a fusion of. The sound of The Rock, the attitude of Austin, he's definitely a good combination of them.
He fits very close to the formula they both created. Wrestlers have CatchPhrases, wrestlers have the swagger, the look, the sound, he just happens to have it all and I think it’s a compliment that they see 2 legends fused into 1 guy yah know.
@@usamazahid3882yep with him and MJF they are potentially this generations Rock and Stone Cold. Definitely most talented and charismatic 2 guys since Stone Cold and Rock.
It's been 20 years since Austin and Rock - now LA Knight comes along spitting absolute fire and reminding fans of the greatest to ever do it. Every single industry is full of pioneers who become so successful they influence those who come after. The fact is this - an entertainer the calibre of LA Knight doesn't come around very often.
I stopped watching wwe since 2002. I watched a match or two, but seeing this guy come out and snack talk (and it's not as good as the rock or Austin) but it's fun and firey. And that's what makes your dude entertaining to watch. I want to see the old wwf again. Not whatever is happening now
@@ronburgundyspetfish9039 I’m just drawing parallels. Cody did all the media appearances and still lost, im just not setting myself up for disappointment again
The rock was a big star for 3-4 years yet we remember him as one of the greats. If La Knight sticks around for another 4 years, he can be at the top of the mountain
WWE hasn't had a guy with this much charisma in 20 years. He is one of the most over guys while losing to mid-carders and having a 2 minute promo every other week and in general not even being in any good program ever. They didn't give him a single minute at Mania and he still gets the biggest pops on any show he is on. Can't even remember the last time that happened
I don't think he's ripping them off he's just heavily inspired by them. Honestly though it doesn't even matter because he looks completely different to them and we need somebody like him now more than ever.
Oh yeah, there is nothing "over night" when the person is middle aged and have been in the industry for most of his life. I dont think many people believe that either, at least I hope not.
I didn't wanna jump to conclusion, so I had to check the date for when Bill left WWE in March 2015, while LA Knight was released August 2014. Just around 6 months between.
I knew nothing of Bill DeMott until a few months ago as I'd been pretty disconnected from wrestling through the past 20 years; but the more I hear about him, the more I dislike him.
Me too I was a John Cena type of wrestler that wore chains and jerseys when we had our little wrestling show back in 2010 I forgot the password to that channel 😂
@@theroddimusThere’s a video that shows LA Knight’s old commercials and promos. He sounded nothing like the Rock. So, he’s definitely making an effort to sound like him. Nothing wrong with it, but that’s not how he naturally sounds.
Damien is the only other deserving winner. Everyone else is just there to fill a spot. And I agree, LA Knight deserves to hold multiple championships at once.
Glad Ariel is back LA Knight, ever since stepped foot on NXT, I saw greatness coming a mile away And he did it in three years to put himself over with the crowd
The ONE and ONLY reason to watch WWE ATM. For those that have been following him since his Impact days know what he's capable of. Everytime he's on screen he draws your attention. We're just scratching the surface! Awesome to see him finally getting his flowers...YEAH!
Yeah, its not like WWE has the greatest storyline of all time going on in the form of Bloodline civil war and drawing money and viewerships, no no, it was all LA KNIGHT.😂
This guy has it. LA Knight has the potential to get fans back into wrestling. I haven’t watched since 05-06 but he makes me want to watch whatever he does.
Let me talk to ya. If la knight met stone cold he would slap the yellow off his teeth and send him packing back to texas with his tail between his legs. YEAHHH.
@@Turppa21 Definitely, pretty much everything has been done in wrestling so why not use the basics that got other people over big time? It's not like he's stealing their gimmicks, just using the same 'tropes'. That's not a bad thing. It's like saying "this band are using guitars so they're stealing from BB King!"
I went from who the hell is this guy to saying his catchphrase in months…I love him and he has IT!! Give LA Knight the gold! I’m praying he gets the push he deserves, he’s too damn good!
Love the underdog story. He deserves everything he has earned the hard way. A flashback to the attitude era for sure and exactly what the WWE needs (very bad actually).
I’m a huge fan of The Rock, my buddy a few years ago told me about this guy and was like he is the new “Rock” I kinda rolled my eyes and was like “Yeah sure” then when I looked him up I was like “Oh my God” and has become one of my favs since
The main commonality between the three is natural charisma. When I first saw Eli Drake , I saw a real wrestler who would have fit in any era of the business, I'm glad he's in the big leagues.
This guy is definitely part of what wrestling DESPERATELY NEEDS right now. That larger than life persona. Most superstars have not been able to mail it, they come across so meh compared to that era of attitude and even ruthless aggression. So I hope this guy, The Usos, this Seth Freakin Rollins, people who bring it ALL can start making wrestling even more awesome. It’s been okay, but not ELECTRIFYING, and that electricity can come back…
he is a stone cold and rock baby,,,he has the genes of both guys...hope wwe book him right and made him main event superstar...bcoz he has got everything...specially his natural promo abilty
The attitude era molded him and not just his character that he's been playing the past 7-8 years but his personality outside of work. And he's proven that the attitude era promo style can still work in a modern context.
I have never heard of this guy before right now. And I will totally buy any and all anthologies of his career based upon this engaging interview. Even if I need dig out the VHS player
I love his comment and response to the rock and stone cold comment of just like he looks up to them and how people make comparisons and all very respectful answer
He was literally trained with the rock while doing the rocks TV show..... of course his gonna carry some of those traits. They not only know each other but work together, and I'm sure as hell he has the Rocks support behind the scenes
It felt so deflating in the crowd on Saturday when he didnt win. The disappointment was palpable and it was like the air had just been let out of a tyre. The man is insanely over and is the closest thing we are going to get to a Rock/Austin type of character.
Living proof that everything happens when it is the best time for it to happen. So everyone whos thinking that they are stuck in life, chin up and give it your best.❤
When he appeared in The Hero TV game show 2013 hosted by The Rock, he was so damn entertaining that Rock already seemed to take a liking to him. Everything he did in that show was based on being a cut throat heel wrestler trying to get everyone else eliminated which is exactly the theme of the show. My only wished was that Marty from that show would come into the wrestling business as well.
Even as Max Dupree, he was gold. That’s saying something. No matter what gimmick this man has, he’s going to take it and run. Got my money on this guy for the long run in the not so distant future
Just listen to how he naturally talks. He's not a knock off, he's literally acting his natural self Here. Hence, He's a Natural!!! LA Knight is the One and only LA KNIGHT!!
They gotta give him a title win. He is probably the top 5 most over characters right now. He made me a believer that’s for sure now LA knight is one my favorites by far.
In another dimension, Lesnar never left in 04, WWE never made their product the one man Cena show, and this guy might have been popping off 10 years earlier.
@@davedarius7346 ah well how great it would have been. Lesnar, Batista ruling then guys like John Morrison, LA Knight etc ruling the next decade with no Cena or Roman.
