Rey Mysterio winning the title for me was such a huge thing for me, getting into wrestling as a kid, and seeing that moment felt surreal, I saw WWE as this show full of big and muscular men winning and ruling everything, but then here comes a guy who, although short, looked amazing with his mask and was phenomenal in the ring with his style, and seeing him win the title and holding it for the first time with his emotions, as a kid it felt like a superhero winning
My favorite World Heavyweight champion is The Undertaker, whenever I think of the Big Gold belt he's the first person I think about. That end scene when he wins it at wm23, amazing.
When I think of the big gold, I always think of Goldberg. I remember seeing Hulk Hogan with the belt during his reign and couldn’t take it. When he made it an NWO title, it was more suited.
Triple H's reign in 2002 was marked by dominance and a strong presence at the top of the WWE roster. He defended the title against various challengers, showcasing his abilities as a seasoned performer. His reign elevated the prestige of the World Heavyweight Championship and solidified Triple H's status as one of the top superstars in WWE. Throughout the year, he engaged in memorable rivalries and helped establish the championship as one of the most coveted prizes in professional wrestling. Triple H's title reign in 2002 will always be remembered as a defining moment in WWE history. So my answer is Triple H!
Edge in 07-08 was definitely my favorite world champion. Completely hated him as a kid but looking back as an adult his work was truly impeccable. One of the best Heels of all time.
...The crowd erupted in a thunderous roar as the referee's hand hit the mat for the final time, declaring Randy Orton the winner and the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in WWE history. Emotions ran high, with disbelief and awe etched on the faces of fans and fellow wrestlers alike. In that defining moment, Randy Orton's journey had reached a pivotal milestone, proving that he was destined for greatness. The path to glory was paved before him, and the wrestling world would never be the same again. From that night forward, the legend of Randy Orton began to take shape, as he continued to leave an indelible mark on the storied history of professional wrestling. My favourite Wrestler off all time since 2008: Randy Orton!
My favorite World Heavyweight Champion is HBK. He didn't have it long, but I'll never forget watching him win it at Survivor Series. An all time wrestling moment for me.
My favourite of all time is not high on many peoples list but he’s one of my all-time favourite wrestlers - Rey Mysterio! The story behind him as well as the run to become the world heavyweight champion was incredible. Shout out to Randy Orton for selling the west coast pop as intended when Rey won the championship!
@@havok9001 it has officially grown on me! I personally think that an all gold version of the belt, like the renderings seen on the channel, is the best look for the belt.
The match at WrestleMania 27 between Edge and Alberto Del Rio had delivered on the grand stage, captivating fans with its intensity, drama, and unforgettable moments. For Edge, it was a triumphant defense of his title, solidifying his place as one of WWE's most beloved champions, while for Alberto Del Rio, it was a lesson in humility and a testament to the resilience of a true champion. The impact of this clash would resonate through the annals of WrestleMania history, etching itself as an iconic showdown between two extraordinary competitors. ~ "Standing victorious at WrestleMania 27, I knew it was the perfect time to step away. My heart is full, and my body has given its all. The ring may not see me anymore, but my passion for this business will forever burn bright." - Edge, my answer.
Edge. Edge was my very first hero and I've been fortunate enough to watch all of his World Heavyweight Championship Victories. He was very inspiring to me; as I've gotten older and I've been able to learn more about the content of his character, I find it really commendable that he is genuinely a good guy. To this day, I cannot be convinced that any other wrestler has better entrance music. I get goose bumps everytime. On a less personal note, Edge ALSO has the most WHC reigns at 7.... definitely GOAT status 🐐
My favorite world heavyweight champions are Jeff Hardy and Christian. Even though their reigns were short, it was amazing seeing them win the title for the first time and wearing the big gold around their waist. They both had amazing feuds during their runs as champion.
If we're talking purely Big Gold World Heavyweight Champion, I really enjoyed the short run Mark Henry had. I loved how donating he came across and inducting people into the Hall of Pain. Loved the visual of him carrying this title. And loved Daniel Bryan ultimately cashing in for it and taking his run with it. This new belt looks great!
I think Edge's title reigns needs to be recognized as the greatest.. he brought the World Heavyweight Title to the main event of Wrestlemania around a time when the WWE Title was more favored in the eyes of the company.
Hey Wick Belts. My favourite world champion is defo Edge. The guy was a perfect heel especially as champion. Looking to rewatch his WM match against The Undertaker. Huge fan of your vids btw. Hope to start my collection with that title🙏🙌
"When you find yourself in the darkest of nights, remember that the dawn is just a heartbeat away. Hold on to hope, for it's the light that guides you through the shadows. And when you stumble and fall, gather the pieces of your heart, for it's in those shattered moments that you discover the true power of your spirit. Believe in the power of your dreams, for within your heart lies the strength to overcome any challenge life throws your way." - John Cena, the GOAT.
Edge was the best world champion. He was a great heel, his promos were amazing, and his matches were entertaining. He was a master at working the crowd, and he always put on a great show.
my favourite would probably be Christian. I'm a huge Edge fan and when he retired and had to relinquish the title I was heartbroken, but the pain was eased when Christian won the title. Despite him losing the belt the next Smackdown I really enjoyed his fued with Randy Orton and the matches they had- especially at Summerslam- a fued which was largely overshadowed by the Punk/Cena stuff that was happening at the time. It was also one of the few times Christian was in the main event so I always have fond memories of that run he had with this belt!
Edge - He always was doing something exciting and unexpected winning and defending that belt. Through each reign, he not only maintained the prestige of the Championship, but also added to it quite a bit. I love this title so much more being able to see all the details not only in the plates, but also the leather...just WOW!
Batista looked so epic with the World Heavyweight Championship, and i feel like it was damn near made for him, but my favorite has to be RANDY ORTON, his matches with Christian for it are amazing and when he unified the title’s against John Cena he looked so sick with both belts.
Edge for sure. His last run with it where he had to retire was so good. There were a few weird title defenses, like when he defended it in a mixed tag match with Kelly Kelly where if she got pinned he lost his championship. But that belt just fit him so well and I also loved the fact that they had a customized name plate for him on it too
My favorite World Heavyweight champion would definitely be John Cena! Ever since he won that title in WrestleMania 25 against The Big Show and Edge, he made the match prestigious and showing why he deserved to win that world heavyweight title! BRO Was going to AA with a total weight of 700+ pounds😳!
Edge has to be my favorite! Watching him cash in on Taker on Smackdown is something I'll never forget. Was so pissed as a kid watching it happen, but in hindsight it truly launched him into new heights
Rey mysterio I remember seeing the wrestlmania 22 DVD set all the time as a kid, his reign wasn't great, but it truly was a magnificent moment for underdogs and smaller folk to be given the champion spotlight when the wrestling world is dominated by giants and physical specimens.
My favorite champion is and remains Rey Mysterio. As a small child, he was already a role model for me, and when he won the title as an underdog, my heart opened up for wrestling
Like I’ve said before, Triple H did his dues for the world heavyweight championship from 2002, 2003, and 2005 which also is when Batista became one of the great world heavyweight champions
Growing up I have always been a fan of Randy Orton, and in my opinion he was his prime in 2011 when he defeated Christian for the World Heavyweight Champion. So there’s my answer, the Viper Randy Orton
I absolutely loved all of Triple H's 5 runs at first i didn't like the look of the new Big Gold but it has grown on me keep up the great content always entertaining when your videos show up
I honestly loved when Edge was the WHC and was feuding with the undertaker. That feud will go down as one of my favorite feuds ever and Edge was such a good champion at that time!
Absolutely loved Mark Henry's reign as World Heavyweight Champion. A lot of great people held the title, but Mark was one of the few that made it feel like it was up there with the WWE title.
Love the channel glad your back, My favorite World Champion would be HHH. The Evolution era was great loved when they held all the major WWE titles. But I also loved, Jeff Hardy. & Edges run was phenomenal.
Batista was my favorite world champion. I started watching WWE the Raw before the 2005 Royal Rumble, and picked him as my favorite. It was awesome finding out he won and watching the storyline leading up to his win at WrestleMania 21.
Triple H will always be my favourite world heavyweight champion, the reign of terror is something we still talk about to this day because it was that special
My all time favs have to be Edge or Taker. They elevated this belt and their feuds over it were some of the biggest memories of my childhood. I love this new iteration of the belt too, and seeing it in such detail helps me appreciate it even more. So glad the WHC is back.
The way edge won the big gold was iconic, losing the wwe championship and then jumping kofi and taking his place in the world heavyweight championship elimination chamber the same night. The ultimate opportunist with the world heavyweight championship is always iconic!
Kane is my favorite world heavyweight title reign . Him winning money and the bank and cashing in the same night was so cool . His feud with undertaker was really cool to watch .
Batista’s run is one of my favorite for sure because the build up after Rumble was amazing! I even have the Batista figure w/big gold in front of my big gold replica
Booker T he came from wcw and put in work and didn’t let his storyline get to him. Didn’t sit out like a lot of the super stars. Was just happy for him.
Good to see you again brother, rightfully deserved to have your channel back and please let me win the world title just in time for Summerslam. Fingers crossed.
Christian is my favorite World Heavyweight Champion. He didn't have long reigns, but his character work was great. And his feud with Orton was amazing.
My favorite World Heavyweight Champion of all time is Jeff Hardy. From him winning the belt at Armageddon to his last match for the championship vs CM Punk, I have seen it and have been watching Jeff since I got into wrestling
2007 Rated R Superstar Edge was my favourite World Heavyweight Champion, him winning the MITB from Mr Kennedy, then cashing it in a few days later was amazing, his World Title run solidified himself as a main eventer are his short WWE title reign
When I see the big gold belt I can't help but picture Edge. When I started watching wrestling, Edge carried that belt often until his untimely retirement where he was forced to relinquish it. His best feuds were with that belt!
CM Punk comes to mind when I think of the WHC. His feud with one of my other favorite champs, Jeff Hardy, was legendary as well as his feud with Rey. Punk winning mitb and cashing in on the WHC back to back years is crazy thinking back on it.
