This was the upgrade from WWF warzone and this game was so much fun when it came out until Smackdown was released. I had sleep overs with friends from school playing these games I miss the good ol days now the year is 2020 in lockdown during a pandemic.
You wouldve missed your childhood memories regardless of covid 19. The "lockdown" has been used as an excuse for a lot of people. 2020 had nothing to do with how much you enjoy this PS1 game from 99
This game used to be my favorite. But 17 years later and I still don't know why there were stairs instead of a ramp and a giant Titantron screen that doesn't play video.
What's funny about this game is when you turn on the blood setting, the wrestlers bleed all over their bodies as if they went through a DBZ type of fight
The odd thing is. This game had full entrances. And yet when the SD series came along. They were cut short. And all we saw was the wrestler walking down a ramp that was never shown with the video screen behind it.
Fun fact, if you go into the settings of this game you can change the Language setting from everyone to teen. This changes some of the wrestlers theme songs, like X Pac to his song and others. It also makes all the DX members do their speech during their entrances.
I feel bad for Goldie when he's blowing kisses to the crowd and in response, they are booing him out of the building. It reminds me of Andre the Giant's WM3 entrance, when he was waving to the people who were throwing trash at him.
I remember War Zone and this game back in ‘99. I also remember Super Wrestlemania for SNES around that time, loved playing with the voice/grunts in this game back then. Also, Wrestlemania 2000, WCW Mayhem, No Mercy, SmackDown!, SmackDown! 2: Know Your Role, SmackDown! Just Bring It, SmackDown! Shut Your Mouth, Smack Down! Here Comes The Pain around the time those games came out and I think Smack Down vs Raw too.
Am I the only one who grew up with the Dreamcast version as a kid? Everyone talks about the PS1 and N64 versions. I did have the PS1 version first, but switched to DC a few months after it came out. Loved playing as "Dr. Death" Steve Williams and "Marvelous" Marc Mero, my all-time favorite wrestlers. I would fantasy-book them against Austin and Rock. So many great memories 😎👍
Yup, I loved these old-school games. Sure the graphics don't look great, but it was Nintendo 64 so it was awesome and when WWF No Mercy was released I enjoyed it so much
I remember if I’m correct, that the more you advanced through the season, that xpac would have is proper song and that you would hear the dialogue on road dogs song and triple H would do his let’s get ready to suck it
Not necessarily, you had to go into the "Utilities" menu and change the language from "Everyone" mode to "Teen" or "Bleeped". However, the Bleeped was earned in Career Mode, while Teen was already in the game.
If you turn on attitude mode in the options, you get to hear some cool stuff in the entrances. HHH telling people to suck it, road dogg doing the New aged outlaws catchphrase etc
I use to love this gm. only thing that disappointed me was no entrance videos and the stupid stairs as a ramp. other than that gm looked goid for its time.
@@justaguy6560 They need to add Smackdown Velocity Jakked & Metal Set with Music along with Wrestlers to be Selectable and Unlockable without Tranier and without Create Mode
4:15 Min.
WWE Hall Of Famers Kane, The Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mick Foley, DX (Road Dogg, X-Pac, HHH, And Billy Gunn), The Rock, Bradshaw, Farrooq, Mark Henry, Jeff Jarrett, Edge, And The Godfather
You’re right he wouldn’t have had that theme yet. He still had his old theme but to think again The Undertaker wouldn’t have his ministry of darkness look either nor The Acolytes would’ve never existed. They certainly messed up the eras, Dr. Death was long gone before The Acolytes came in!
