Congrats brother. I bet it felt like you were reborn
Me too! Hell my luck if I could with the ammo shortage I might end up with a nice club! LOL! These guys are milking everything. No way they should cost $1200!
You guys should know that markings on the left side are the arsenal markings where the weapon was sent AFTER WWII to be refitted. AAR is Augusta Arsenal with the R being the inspectors marking. (That would vary.) Most of those probably saw action overseas with foreign countries even after that, Certainly not original as -issued during WWII.
I mean this day and age, I think their rarity and buying new isn't an option anymore, as a rifle, not it isn't worth that much, as a rifle and a collectible, then I say it sounds about right for what it is.
@@doctorlunarous5747 they make reproductions.. aka "new". And just wait till after the election. Price will drop. Always does.. That's usually when the best deals come.
The AA you are seeing could refer to a refit process for carbines after ww2 Augusta Armory, sights were upgraded and bayo lugs added followed by selective reassembly leading to mismatch of parts.
That's not out of line for a decent USC the days. I personally examined one about two weeks ago at a local shop. $999 price tag on a carbine that had three different colors, two clearly painted, on the metal. Between obvious grinding to remove rust and the thick paint, barrel and receiver markings were faint at best. In short, barely a junk gun for parts going for a thousand.
Why are these guns only offered by classic? They must have someone they payoff to get these and not being offered to other dealers. They corner the market and raise the prices of these guns. I personally will never buy a gun from these gun grabbers that make you pay more for something that should be half that price. If you follow my lead, more of you in the future will get better prices.
I ordered the Czech 7.62x45 and although I am extremely excited about it, I am also very disappointed to find that the ammo is not available!! I WANT TO ENJOY THIS GUN!!
The markings on the barrel is only the barrel production date not the receiver production date. Also if you look on the stock where the sling goes through it should be marked with the maker of the stock. Example: mine is a 43 receiver with a 44 barrel and stock is an Underwood.
Possibly South Korea. During the obama adminsitration some company tried to import about 1,000,000 rifles (mostly m1 garands and some m1 carbines) that were sent to South Korea after WW2. But the obama administration refused to allow the import saying these would end up being used in crimes. So these could be those rifles finally coming in.
1 year later I'm here I just bought 2 off of classic firearms like 5 month ago for 1800 each.. I don't complain about price cause these are not in production no more they are real usgi m1 carbine I spend 4000$ 2 week ago on a m1a1 paratrooper . I own 6 m1 carbine total all usgi not no new production built. Also own a colt m16a1 pay 3900$ for it
To anyone who decides to purchase this. Good luck finding ammo for the next probably year or so. I’ve searched a 35 mile radius and turned up two boxes of .30 carbine and there’s a few rifles floating around here
Like the above response, ammo is easy to find with a simple google search. I bough the bulk South Korean ammo from SGammo awhile back and it’s very good ammo for the price.
Hard to believe you find that hard to believe. The only reason they didn't sell out quicker is the guys shitting themselves to order couldn't dial the phone faster.
I would love to get one for my dad cause hes a history teacher and collects dome old military guns but he stoped collecting them when he had my brother me and my sister to help support our family
22 seconds in and I'm wondering just how many times he will call every gun in the crate "SWEET" no matter how rusty or scratched up they are! And at 1:32 it begins! And let me guess, "get your before they are all gone for only $2800"
Zkiller it looks like Classic M1 carbines Don't have import marks an RTI does, import marks are a no no for collector value. I called classic to make sure on that but they were closed.
They say if you snooze you lose and it is true. Slept late today and when I checked my email I saw the offering for these carbines. Went to the sight immediately and, all gone!!! My bad! :(
How on earth do people spend $1200.00 on a gun and take a chance on what you are getting? A surplus pistol for $300.00 maybe, but if Iam spending over $500.00 I want to be able to look at the gun not just take someone’s word about it. Iam sure they are ok but I would be really pissed if I got a junker.
Damn! Had one in my cart, also a full ammo can...when I went to check out it wouldn't let me because I live in the communist state of New York and the mag holds more than 10 rounds. There was no way for me too have them ship it without the mag. I called, they were closed...now they're all gone. Damn!
