Its crazy how different people think about Black Lungs. in my opinion Black Lungs is the best of these 4 Tracks but a wise man once said 'The World would be boring if everyone would have the same taste' Greetings from Germany!
This is the second to last song on the album which I think is super fitting, this whole song is very moving as Lindsay said, but in the sense of it feels like an actual meteor hurtling towards earth, with that final bridge dropout feeling like the whole "split second slo mo" kinda stuff you see in movies. Honestly this next to black lungs is my favourite, definitely excited for this album overall.
@@AwesomeBrickSauce no, it's not that it doesn't have a breakdown lmao. I can name like 7 songs by this band with no breakdown and it will be amazing, It's because the amount of lyrical repetition, and the lyrics themselves for me not standing out much at all. The riffs are not comparable to Tom's writing either, or even Josh's standard on his band Sylosis. Sam's vocals are produced poorly and it makes him sound more robotic and less raw and emotional. Listen to Unbeliever and you'll see how is voice should sound on a softer track, or Behind the Throne. Those songs are well done and don't have a breakdown because it's not necessary.
1. Animals 2. Meteor 3. Dead Butterflies 4. Black Lungs To me nothing reaches Animals so for. When Animals dropped I immediately pre-ordered the Album. Cant wait for the 26th
Once the album drops you HAVE to react to Impermanence ft Winston from Parkway. Easily the best song on the album. The entire album leaked a few weeks ago.
I love watching all the haters say "this isn't architects anymore, they sound too much like *insert random band*" They have shown so much growth for losing such and amazing lyricist and still keep the same themes that make them who they are. Tom would be proud of them 🤙
Black lungs is my current favorite, but I like hearing your opinions so I won't argue. Very excited for this album, it's definitely a new direction for the band and hopefully a good one!
Black lungs has the heaviest breakdown. More blegh without the blegh if you will lol. I like all 4 tracks but black lungs is number 2 on the "On repeat" Playlist on Spotify
It's weird how I'm loving the new songs but I feel like most of the community isn't enjoying them as much. Meteor, for example, I absolutely love this track but most of the people I saw reacting to it didn't even like it. I'm new to Architects , why is that happening? Are they going in a different way like BMTH did for example?
Honestly, I think the "new direction" isn't what people expected so they don't know how to feel about it. When I first heard Flight Without Feathers, I didn't like it at all, then the next day it was in my head all day lol. I think it'll take time, but this album is gonna grow on everyone!
Nothing but love and support for you two guys. I'm from Argentina and in my city maybe 10 people listen to this music so you guys are my only way to get a different opinion or something about a new track hahaha. Anyways, love u
Might be early days yet, but I think this might end up being their best record to this point - it's vibing with me in ways that even All Our Gods didn't and it's my favourite record of all time
Meteor completely overwhelmed me when I first heard it. When I watched the video for it everything kinda clicked. And that climax is fucking beautiful.
WYATTTTTT AYEE REACT TO ESTELLA BY KENNYHOOPLA AND TRAVIS BARKERRR ASAPPPÑP!!!! ITS A HEAD BANGER!!!!! PLSSSS BROTHERRRR!!!!!!!!🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🤍🖤🤍🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍
This would have been the perfect song for some heavier vocals towards the end though! Like in the birge I was dying for some full on scream vocals. I liked the song but was left slightly dissapointed :(
Wyatt and Lindsey you guys are killing it! I never new about Architects until I saw a reaction from you guys. BY far my favorite band to listen to in 2020 going into 2021.
I am going to say it until they get sick of me or until they do the songs!! 😄😄 And will someone PLEEASSEE back me up on this! Bcuz this band is next up and so legit it's dumb! . . . STRAIGHT FUCKING GAS! Orbit Culture. Heavy metal from Sweden! Literally my new favorite group and I'm mad I didn't find them sooner!! This band was as if Metallica and Disturbed had a baby, and that babie was raised by every metal group ever assembled and its nannies were Gojira and Trivium and its godfather is Rob Zombie! Check them out! In this order the songs: SAW REDFOG OPEN EYE. Good place to start! This is for anyone sleeping on this group! Criminally underrated and some of the best metal I've ever heard!! 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟 Enjoy peeps!
My current ranking is as follows: 1. Animals 2. Dead Butterflies 3. Black Lungs 4. Meteor I wasn't vibing too much with Meteor at first but it's growing on me, and I'm happy.
I really don't understand the hate against that new sound. We can't expect them to just do the same stuff they did when Tom was still writing. What the fvck do people expect? Of course one is allowed to NOT like it, thats fine. But then just don't listen to it.
I'm a huge fan of Architects and the reason is that maybe all their songs grow after the first listen. That's what define Architects for me, so I can understand some bad reaction of the first 4 singles. For example Black Lungs was for me the best because it was a traditionnal Architects song, but now it is no more..
Absolute banger of a song. Everyone has their own opinion, and it seems there is allot of people that think its too soft. For Architects standard I guess I can agree personally, but to say theyre going soft is just an insult to the absolute craft of this band. They can make whatever the hell they want, bands grow because guess what the people in them grow and explore.
Isn't growing on me in the slightest. Dead butterflies needed some time but now it's my most played song this year. This one just doesn't do it for me, but one -eh- song doesn't taint an entire album
I finally figured out why I like your reactions so much...you two seem to genuinely appreciate music for what it is and not what artist it's by. So many times, other reactors just want heavy music or get disappointed when a band changes their sound, but you two are pretty open to everything and just seem to enjoy way more than others. Kudos for that!
Its so boring and mediocre for Architects, it upsets me that this is the direction they are choosing, it just seems every band in this genre are all going the same way
To be honest... The song is absolutely not architects at all. And I don't mean lyrically. It was way to mediocre and interchangeable. If I listen to architects, I always got that "this is unique and new" feeling. But this song sounds like 100000 other bands out there. I hate it when bands gravitate to much away from what they were. Linkin Park for example was destroying their signature sound from album to album more until it was literally pop music (one more light) I do understand that with the loss of tom as the songwriter the direction will change but this is a really to far away from what they were. And don't get me wrong... "Animals" was a good track and noticeably different. "Black Lungs" was ok but overall to repetitive. "Dead Butterflys" was okay as a more quiet song and with a really nice bridge part. "Meteor" instead was IMO absolutely disappointing. I hope that the rest of the new LP will not be as this track. Cheers!
I don’t think the other channels don’t like it because it’s not heavy, otherwise Dead Butterflies wouldn’t be so loved. I think this song is just really bland and generic
@@rhass402 can you name me a channel? Also no Dead Butterflies is not heavier, breakdowns don't equal heavy if the breakdown isn't a heavy breakdown. That's not how music works.
The arrangement was solid, but this was definitely the weakest of all of the singles. Animals is still number one overall, followed by Black Lungs, then Dead Butterflies, and Meteor last. I’m praying they will later in the nostalgic heavy sounds throughout the album. So far, it’s on the level of stadium hard rock.
I´m glad you liked this song! It took me 3-4 times to really appreciate it, but as you said, the lyrics combined with that flawless production and the super awesome drums make a refreshing yet typical Architects track. So psyched for the whole album :D
