that's what happen on every catchy song, regardless what genre it is. The more you listen to the chorus which most of the time is where the catchy part of a song is.. I do feel the same even on old beartooth songs...

@@perrinsmith3019 I was kinda the opposite. I liked it a lot when it dropped but as I listen to it now...eh... Like, I've started to notice it in this song in particular that it follows a 1-2-1-2-SlowItDown-Breakdown-1-1. It's very jarring to see that pattern and feel like it's low effort even if I still like the song on the whole.

Nah, I think ADTR was trying to change it up and wanted something more pop oriented. Yes it’s generic but I think it was on purpose, although I have no idea why tf it took so long. If it took like 2 years to make id be more ok with it but it took so long
