Every single time i need to give a student a perfect example of ghost notes being executed perfectly i still find myself at this cover. So brilliantly done.

thought id share some live sound tips here for everyone since we cant do shows atm. so if you have a spare 57 or condencer mic put it on the snare with a hard compressor and then gate your normal snare mic pretty hard. that way the one mic will get all rimshots and ghostnotes while compressing on hard hits and the other mic will open up on hard hits that way you can shape tone nicely and get the most out of a snare drum. we have done this in studio 2 and it makes it so nice to have that flexibility

Great cover! Have a look at 1:09, for a few seconds I thought the kick drum was rounded over near the batter side. It gives the illusion that the batter head is smaller than the resonant. I was thinking first, that's an unusual shell shape and second how have I never noticed that? Then I realized it's the shadow from the hat stand...duh.
