Here in our place we call that a guardian of the lake.. but instead of bones.. its a giant that walks around the lake and it cant hurt anyone coz it's in a phantasm form and its a one in a lifetime to see coz when it gets closer its feet becomes a shadow and when it gets far it fades to thin air

Yokai are Japanese mythological figures. The gashadokuro is one such entity. It was based on a real historical period in 10th century AD in Kyoto, Japan where a series of familial and political disputes led to masakado, a samurai, getting beheaded by his own cousin. Masakado's daughter takiyasha revived him and his fallen soldiers as a gashadokuro to take revenge. The resting place of masakado's head is said to be in Tokyo. The gashadokuro is portrayed as a vengeful spirit made up of the skulls of fallen warriors in the shape of a giant skeleton. It rampages and devours its foes alive until its vengeance is satisfied, in which case it collapses. It is said to be invisible at times and completely invincible, since you cannot kill what is already dead. Modern interpretations of this monster usually make it out to be a singular entity which resembles a giant skeleton, with more relatable actions and motivations. It appears in many pieces of art, literature, film, and gaming.
The fact it's not even paying attention or going after people but just walking somewhere. It kills just by walking on people unlucky enough to be under its feet.

I actively go out of my way to not disturb the black ants, and will occasionally leave some sunflower seeds as a peace offering for the fallen that I accidentally stepped on.
