This video is of our 6 miles kayak on the Wye River from Ross-on-Wye to Kerne Bridge on the 10 August 2023.
It covers the following:
• The amazing scenery on this route
• The quaint market town of Ross-on-Wye
• The historic Goodrich Castle, and
• other useful information about this route and about kayaking the Wye River generally
This journey was part of the Kayak Crew’s undertaking to paddle every section of the Wye River between Glasbury all the way down to Chepstow.

thanks for the video, I did this yesterday and worth noting that there's a free of charge public launch point just 50m downriver of the Hope & Anchor. Nice way to spend the morning 👍

Thanks. We had to park at the Hope & Anchor, so didn’t mind paying the launch fee. Good to know that if you go downstream then there is a free launch. Did you park up on the road at Wye Street? Yeh, it’s a great section of the river

@@TheKayakCrew yes parked on Wye street which gave 4 hours free parking, so that was plenty of time to kayak down to Lydbrook and get bus back from there (£2 opposite forge hammer).

@@hikerwoody182 that’s great. I got the bus from Kerne Bridge to Ross and kayaked back downstream when I did this route on my own a few years ago. Didn’t realise you could also get it from Lydbrook
