Hello, I'm Ukan, modeler, texture artist and sound designer for Wyrmroost. Just wanted to say that this is by far the best showcase of our mod, it is edited beautifully as many have said before me, and the way you present every little detail is incredible, you absolutely got me as a subscriber. Thank you for the video and hoping to see you review the mod in the future when we add the mentioned dragon dimension! ;]
(oh crap a mod author is here! Act somewhat professional!) Thank you! I wished I would've found fitting background music while showing the dragons you and your team have made, but alas... I always had trouble with adding fitting music over mob explanations... your dragons don't deserve silence! ...and sure you got it! I will showcase the mod in the future again, with the added dimension and all. 🙂
@@textConjure Haha, I personally found the simple, silent showcase quite appealing. I've noticed one can rarely hear the mobs themselves in mod showcases, and Wyrmroost takes some pride in its custom sound effects so I liked it a lot that you showcased them as well, albeit unintentionally. Looking forward to your next video and ever growing career!
@@crodako8268 Someone who eat little lesser desertwyrm: UMM... UM... *Sweats nervously* I DINDT DO NOTHING HEHE... (IM DEAD IM DEAD IM SO FU##### DEAD THIS THE END OF ME GOODBYE WORLD) *And he died...*
Just AG 2323 Its a remaster of dragon mount which is not made by the original devs, they had the help of the Ice and Fire devs to code the dragon which explain the control similarities in Wyrmroost
Overworld Drake: A powerful reptile capable of killing full diamond players. Also Overworld Drake at 17:06: Gets pushed out of the screen by a pig. But jokes aside, this is an incredible mod, and you did a great job as always showing it off. Keep up the great work.
A few things unmentioned in the video that are worth mentioning: - In addition to armor, Overworld Drakes can be outfitted with chests. Combined with a Dragon Soul Crystal, this makes them essentially mid-game shulker boxes. - Adult Dragonfruit Drakes can be sheared for apples, and when fed a Glistening Melon will boost crop growth. So they're not just cool looking lawnmowers. - Be careful when fighting with your Royal Red, as it can accidentally burn you alive. Better bring some Fire Resistance potions. - That being said, RRs are excellent for traveling through the nether, as they can fly and are immune to fire. They can also one shot Ghasts with their physical attack. - A bug/exploit makes taming RR's a lot easier: Get them on a lead and tie them to a fence post, and it won't roast you. It can still use its melee attack, but its a lot easier to tame when its not spewing fire everywhere. - Alpines and Roostalkers cannot be bred at the moment due to a bug. - Certain dragons have albino/melanistic/gold variants. They are marked with a yellow star in the staff GUI, similar to a shiny Pokemon. - Name your overworld drake Daisy for a nice surprise!
Royal Reds roasting you is a bug pretty sure, also, on Overworld Drakes and Royal Reds, you can do ctrl+v (default is V for close range attacks, doesnt work on Alpines) to make them roar, will probs be a feature for every ridable dragon in the future
This has a level of professionalism that only the mod creator would have for a mod I don't even care how much time is between vids if you are able to put this much effort in any and all the mods you review Love the channel and hope you continue to make these amazing reveiws
I love the fact that they aren't all just dragons, and that they are classified correctly as drakes, dragons, wyverns, and leviathans. I would love to use this mod I just don't have the right set up.
@@stepankavesela2300 agree, i use ice and fire, alex's mob, pandora's creature, mythical world, Quark, wyrmroost, and rats as my mobs modpack, i wish mowzie's mobs were updated to the latest version of minecraft so that i could use it aswell.
3:13 drake: "oh, what is this? is that wheat?" 3:15 drake: "foolish humanoid mortal, i will not succumb to gluttony." 3:17 also drake: "aha, on second thought-"
@@spinomania1921 I mean if you go look at a scauldron on the internet, it looks really similar either the difference being a smaller belly and a pointed tail instead of fanned out
I spawned in two Alpines and two Royal Reds... The royal red roasted my first alpine, then she ate the male dragon and roasted my other alpine before i could save it ;--;
@@Baymerlin wow, you really got mad because he brought up American Football. He didn't even say anything bad about a team or the sport, he only said its name.
Honestly, the possibilities with this mod are sick. I’m not usually a very creative person but I have so many ideas. First, the Butterfly Leviathan puts any ocean/water base on steroids. If any of you watch philza, imagine endlantis with those things. As much of a meme as the Dragonfruit Drake is, it spices jungle builds or gardens up a ton and imagine using it to farm! On a side note, I think it would be cool if Dragonfruit Drakes would, um, crap out the seeds of crops they just lawnmowed. Funny and automated farming! They lawnmow wheat and place seeds back on the hoed ground! As far as traps, there are a ton of different ideas I have. If you could trick Lesser Desertwyrms into thinking there is a rabbit about, a floor full of them could be deadly. If you set a ton of Canari Wyverns to guard an area and put them up high, they could swoop down and absolutely wreck intruders. In mob farms, you could hand a Roost Stalker a Looting III sword and let them finish off mobs like skeletons and zombies as they fall from your mob grinder. While Alpines and Royal Reds have the obvious use as badass war dragons, you could perch them on your house in downtime and make your whole base 10x cooler. If Greater Desertwyrms leave tunnels, you could turn them into a sweet underground base. The possibilities are just endless.
Me: downloads this mod and sees Roost Stalker for the first time Me: heart melts from the sheer adorableness Hippity hoppity this little drago can munch on all my droppitys 🥺😍
@@semih7436 I think you are unable to do it because you're in bedrock edition and the mod is for java or you might have some other problems try using tutorials for help
"Royal Red dragons are found rarely in mountain biomes." Ohh, that's gonna be my best friend! "The are extremely hostile and are capable of setting whole biomes on fire" VERY BEST FRIEND!!
I have some ideas for possible future dragons for this mod, hope y'all like them Nether drake: a cousin of the overworld drake, nether drakes are red in color, with the males having golden horns. And can be tamed just like a overworld drake and has all their capabilities, but are immune to fire and lava. And spawn in the crimson forest biome. Royal blue: relatives of the royal red dragons, royal blues breath bio electricity rays instead of fire, and can be tamed just like a royal red. And if struck by lightning, they gain a speed and damage boost. But electrocute the player if they get near because of the static electricity given off. However, wearing blue geode armour or netherite prevents you from being shocked. Jagudrake: a vicious predatory dragon that dwells in jungles, they can camouflage and render themselves completely invisible, but their glowing red eyes can still be seen, to tame them, you must use narcotic meat, crafted with common meat and poisonous potatoes, and drop it near a jagudrake, once it eats the meat, feed it normal meat to tame it. And makes for a fast and deadly mount, however, it's camouflage ability does not extend to the rider, so you will need to drink a potion of invisibility to blend in with your jagudrake. And are also known for hunting dragon fruit drakes. Glaciosaurus: a bipedal dragon similar in appearance to a royal red or a royal blue, but slightly bigger and generally being light blue or light purple in color with tiger like stripes, glaciosaurs mainly inhabit mountains or ice spikes biomes as well as tundras and Ice flats. They breath cold blasts of ice instead of fire. And often hunt cows, pigs, polar bears and sometimes even alpines. And can be tamed by sacrificing a cow to your glaciosaurus of choice. And if fed blue ice, will gain a damage boost. And the males of this species have longer horns than females. Dolphiwyrm: these fast and sleek sea dwellers often prey upon squids, tropical fish, and cod, and in turn are hunted by butterfly leviathans, taming them Is fairly simple, feed them a fish, and their yours, they can be used to battle drowned, but are more useful as quick mounts rather than fighters. And can be fed fish to make them faster.
Here's an important detail! 2 or more of the dragon species can be found with an albino color. So far I have only seen albino rooststalkers and overworld drakes, but there may be more. Albino rooststalkers have a sparkle effect too!
Mate always enjoy your in-depth mod reviews. Back in the day, alot of mod reviews only gave the bare minimum, leaving players confused on the more hidden stuff. Thank you reviewing with high quality edits and research. Cannot wait for the next review...
textConjure: the royal red male is smaller then the female, wich is bigger and a brighter shade of red. me: awwww, the devs paid attention in bioligy! i'm so proud!
@@L-and-P not entirely. They can use them as food and to farm animal mobs so a faction in the desert could make a animal farming market more easily. Tho I couldn't see anyone wanting them to be the main dragon that represents their faction
This mod is fantastic. You can see the dragons will communicate to each other. After you tame them, sometimes you can see they watch each other and act like talking. Some species will roar tgt like how wolves do. They are so lively and unique. The mod is just released and not perfect yet. But I hope the developers know they really did a great job and many players like me support them. I hope they will add more species and color variants, and maybe create some dragon which can help doing works instead of combat and travel? By the way the Royal Red is really destructive. I tamed one in creative mode to see how they act, suddenly it burn everything in my base, just because a mob attack me and I hit back. My Royal Red sit there and throw hell fire to it. And it seems so proud of what it did.
Hello, I'm Ukan, the sound designer for Wyrmroost. Yes, I did use an elephant for the royal red's roar, alongside some other sounds such as a lion roar, a phone case dragged on the floor and a bit of my own voice. :D
