ive been to wytheville, its so beautiful, yes, i love that big pencil....i have some ancestors who signed up for the civil war in the old courthouse in 1861,, the tabor men.. thats one of the reasons i stopped there and got some history at the information center.. my family is from pocahontas and falls mills va..
I live in Ceres, VA. which is just a short drive across beautiful Walker Mtn., and Wytheville really is a special little town. I remember as a kid being amazed by the big pencil and a pair of barber's scissors hanging on the side of a building. I also like the wide streets that don't require parallel parking, and the cruise in on main street!
Wytheville is a wonderful place to live. The people are friendly and warm and there is so much to do that wasn't mentioned in this short piece. I love the community center and crystal springs park.
This is true but we have Hugh amounts of people come thru on our interstates an for such a small town with so many traveling we are very safe an friendly place just obey the laws of the state of Virginia an u will enjoy r area all r welcome at all time to come visit us or live here
