i believe to Simon Moro and Bukreev. The book of Jon Krakauer is very lying. Many thank's Moro for his opnion.

I absolutely love this guy. The way to look at this is simple. God takes back early people who reflect himself. The rest of us stay here until we kill ourselves with ignorance.

Bukreev was a simple and honest man, an exceptionally strong mountaineer, probably the best of his era. Krakauer was/is a celebrity who climbed mountains and because of his job and reputation as a journalist he got the chance to stand on the top of the world in '96. One climbed because it was his life and the other one climbed because it was a good story that he can sell. Big difference. I know both books and I can totally agree with Simone in this case. Krakauer tried to hide his cowardice by "attacking" Bukreev who saved lifes on that night.

Anyone who does any digging knows what boukareev did on may 10. 1996 was beyond heroic. He WAS a god.

So Boukreev was a guide but only took on 1:1 clients? and the other guides took on multiple clients. So boukreev could pay 100% attention to his 1 client the whole time. Smart dude. Brave. Hero.

Glad I saw this. It seemed funny to hear he was to blame..rip Anatoli 🙏

Why is this lady so mad?

Boukreev was supposed to use oxygen according to the deal he made with Fischer. Toli gave up his unused oxygen to Beidleman en route. Because of that, Toli was too cold at the top to wait for anyone (unlike Beidleman who assumed leadership responsibilities when Fischer didn't show up), so he went down. Alone. Guiding nobody. Most, if not all the people on that expedition say that Toli sort of screwed up and later redeemed himself with his extreme rescues that all acknowledge were selfless and heroic. Krakauer did not blame Toli, he just told us what happened. Krakauer did not lie, Boukreev may have lied. Beidleman claims Boukreev changed his story multiple times.
